GITP at GenCon

OOTS and GITP Games are planning on having a big presence at GenCon this year; here's the basics on what you can expect:

We have our own booth this year, right in the Exhibitor's Hall like a real company and everything. Rich will be there signing and sketching for most of the time, and you'll be able to pick up some great Order of the Stick merchandise. We'll have copies of the first OOTS book, Order of the Stick: Dungeon Crawlin' Fools ($24.95), as well as a limited number of advance copies of the brand-new second book, Order of the Stick: On the Origin of PCs ($13.95). Read here for details on this exciting new chapter in the OOTS saga.

We'll also have two new t-shirts, on dark colors for the first time (pictured below). The first design is inspired by the classic D&D Basic Set cover of the late David C. Sutherland III ($20.00). Printed on navy shirts, this design isn't just a great OOTS shirt, it's a tribute to one of the artists who helped define the visual identity of early D&D. The second shirt, printed on black, references a different artistic heritage, as well as puts all DMs in the area on notice that like Belkar, your characters mean business ($25.00).

And of course, we have more buttons (at $2.00 each). We have some Belkar buttons left, as well as a very small number of Elan buttons. But the big news is the release of not one, but TWO new buttons in the series: Haley and Xykon now join the ranks of the buttoned characters.

Finally, Rich will be sketching your characters when he's at the booth for a modest fee. Ever wanted to see your D&D party immortalized in crayon stick figures? Well, now's your chance. Sketches will be drawn only when Rich is at the booth and able; while all sales will be honored, he's stopping for the day when his wrist gets tired. He sprained it just a month ago, don't forget.

Of course, none of this matters if you don't know how to find our booth. With luck, we'll have a giant Elan banner hanging above us, but just to make sure you guys know where we are, we will provide you with this helpful map:

Finally, there will be two chances to meet Rich Burlew and interrogate him in a public forum where escape is nigh impossible. Join him at one of two Q&A sessions: Friday at 10:00 am, and Saturday at 4:00 pm (locations to be determined; check the program book at the convention). You don't need to buy a ticket to get in, just show up and sit down. There's room for 100 people each, but if that fills up, you can just squeeze in like sardines until the Fire Department shuts us down.

So yeah, those are the plans for GenCon...pretty busy, eh? Make sure you get to the booth early, as ALL of these items are in limited quantities. Have a great convention, everyone, and hope to see you there!
