Sword Sovereign

The Sovereign Host of Eberron is said to be the greatest of pantheons, a divine whole greater than the sum of its deific parts. Though no one knows the truth of this, it is undeniable that their worshipers can draw great power. Some martial adepts who have dedicated themselves to the Host believe that they can create an invincible whole from the nine gods of the Host and the nine disciplines of the Sublime Way. Known as Sword Sovereigns, these crusaders of the nine have unshakable faith in their gods, and draw the power of the pantheon together when they fight.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the Sword Sovereign prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
You gain no additional weapon or armor proficiencies.

Maneuvers
At each even level, you gain one new maneuver known from the Devoted Spirit, Stone Dragon, or White Raven disciplines. You must meet the maneuver’s prerequisites to learn it. You add your full Sword Sovereign level to your initiator level to determine your total initiator level and your highest-level maneuvers known. At 5th and 10th level, you gain one additional maneuver readied.

Stances Known
At 1st level and 5th level, you gain one new stance known from the Devoted Spirit, Stone Dragon, or White Raven disciplines. You must meet the stance’s prerequisites to learn it.

Blades of the Host (Ex)
You treat the favored weapons of all gods of the Sovereign Host–the battleaxe, halberd, longsword, mace, morningstar, quarterstaff, sickle, spear, and warhammer–as preferred weapons of the Devoted Spirit Discipline.

Sovereign Grace (Ex or Su)
At each level but 10th, a you gain one of the following abilities of his choice. Some of the abilities have minimum class level requirements that must be met in order to gain them.

Celestial Armor of Onatar (Ex)
Onatar, Sovereign of Fire and Forge, defends you with armor forged of your faith. While you are in a Devoted Spirit stance, you may forgo its normal benefit as a swift action to gain the benefits of the celestial armor of Onatar stance. This ability lasts for as long as you would maintain the stance. You can also exit the celestial armor of Onatar stance and regain the normal benefit of your stance as a swift action.

While in the celestial armor of Onatar stance, you gain DR X/–, where X is half your class level. Only a Sword Sovereign of 4th level or higher may gain this ability.

Cunning of Kol Korran (Ex)
Kol Korran, Sovereign of World of Wealth, lends you a measure of his wits and wile. Once per day, when you damage a foe with a Devoted Spirit maneuver, you may attempt to bewilder him. He must make a Will save, DC 10 + the maneuver’s level + your Wis modifier, or be dazed for 1 round. You gain an additional daily use of this ability at every even class level past 2nd.

Divine Justice of Dol Arrah (Su)
Dol Arrah, Sovereign of Sun and Sacrifice, imbues your blade with her divine goodness. Whenever you wield a weapon that is a preferred weapon of the Devoted Spirit discipline, that weapon gains the holy special ability, causing it to be good-aligned and to deal 2d6 extra points of damage upon striking an evil-aligned creature. In addition, when you use such a weapon to execute a maneuver of the Devoted Spirit discipline targeting an evil-aligned creature, the enhancement bonus of the weapon increases by two. If it does not have an enhancement bonus, it instead gains an enhancement bonus of +2. Only a Sword Sovereign of 7th level or higher may gain this ability.

Favorable Fortune of Olladra (Su)
Olladra, Sovereign of Feast and Fortune, smiles upon you, subtly aiding you. Once per day, when you would fail a save, you may instead reroll the save, gaining a luck bonus on the roll equal to the class level. You use the result of the new roll to determine if you successfully save. Alternatively, once per day, whenever an enemy attacks you, you may gain a luck bonus to AC equal to your class level against that one attack.

However, Olladra’s favor can be something of a two-edged sword. After using this ability, your luck is somewhat diminished, causing you to take a -4 penalty on all saves and to AC until the beginning of your next round. Only a Sword Sovereign of 4th level or higher may gain this ability.

Heroic Strength of Dol Dorn (Ex)
Dol Dorn, Sovereign of Strength and Steel, fills you with strength and might. While you are in a Devoted Spirit stance, you may forgo its normal benefit as a swift action to gain the benefits of the heroic strength of Dol Dorn stance. This ability lasts for as long as you would maintain the stance. You can also exit the heroic strength of Dol Dorn stance and regain the normal benefit of your stance as a swift action.

While in the heroic strength of Dol Dorn stance, you gain a +4 bonus to Strength. In addition, whenever you are subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts),you are treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to you. You are also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect you. Finally, you can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. Only a Sword Sovereign of 7th level or higher may gain this ability.

Martial Lore of Aureon (Ex)
Aureon, Sovereign of Law and Lore, grants you knowledge of all nine disciplines. Once per day, whenever you would be granted a maneuver of the Devoted Mind discipline, you may instead expend it. If you do, you are granted one maneuver of the same level, which you may choose from any discipline. The maneuver does not have to be one you know or have readied. Once you have expended the granted maneuver, it is lost–maneuvers granted by this ability cannot be recovered. At 7th level, you may use this ability twice per day, and at 10th level, 3 times per day. Only a Sword Sovereign of 4th level or higher may gain this ability.

Sublime Commander of Boldrei (Ex)
Boldrei, Sovereign of Hall and Hearth, inspires you, allowing you to weave your allies together in faith. While in a Devoted Spirit stance, all allies adjacent to you that worship the Sovereign Host or one of its gods also gains the benefits of that stance.

Vigourous Sustenance of Arawai (Ex)
Arawai, Sovereign of Life and Love, nourishes you with divine sustenance in times of need. When you are at 50% or less of your maximum hp total, you gain fast healing 1. This increases to fast healing 2 at 4th level, fast healing 3 at 7th level, and fast healing 4 at 10th level.

Wild Hunt of Balinor (Su)
Balinor, Sovereign of Horn and Hunt, infuses you with primal power, letting you draw strength from those you fell. Whenever you drop a living creature to -1 hp or less with a Devoted Spirit maneuver, you devour its strength, just as a hunter partakes of his prey’s flesh. You gain temporary hp, which last for 1 hour, equal to the creature’s HD, and become immune to death effects for one minute per HD of the creature. Only a Sword Sovereign of 7th level or higher may gain this ability.

Smite of the Nine (Su)
At 10th level, you may channel the power of all nine Sovereigns in a single blow. Once per day, you may declare one attack to be a smite of the nine. An evil creature struck by the smite of the nine must make both a Fortitude save and a Will save, both with a DC of 19 plus your Wis modifier. If the creature fails its Fort save, it dies. Even if it makes the Fort save, if it fails its Will save, it goes insane, unable to bear the glory it is faced with. If you accidentally use a smite of the nine against a creature that is not evil, it has no effect, but the ability is still used up for that day.

The fluff seems to be hinting at something with a bit more...access than one discipline (For the Pre-Reqs).
