I can't decide if this is horribly wrong or horribly right.

I archive binged my way through this after you linked to it... that's some crazy stuff there... I love how he worked in so many homages to other comics. The absence of Peanuts characters beyond Chuck and Snoopy is a bit glaring, but I understand from some of the references on the site that there was a (print only, perhaps?) earlier story which may have involved them (and probably, given the nature of Weapon Brown, killed most/all of them, leading to the current story's lack of Peanuts characters).

Parody is legally protected, at least to some extent, and both are careful not to directly use any original names. On top of that, Schulz City appears to be just two pages of non-commercial fanart. Weapon Brown, since it's actually sold and it draws from (and has the potential to anger the creators of) so many different comics, is on much shakier ground, but I don't think it has completely crossed any lines yet.

Granted, some Family Circle parody sites have been shut down, but those have been sites that have actually altered original strips, which are much less defensible than these, which are creating new material using characters that just so happen to be similar to Peanuts characters. I'm pretty sure even in the infamous Penny Arcade Strawberry Shortcake thing PA's concession was less about not having the right to do what they did and more about not wanting to expend the time and money necessary to fight about it.
