Several small shards of what look like crystal hover around a heavily emaciated body, sometimes passing through it.

Sometimes, when a person dies, not all of it passes on. Such is the case with the brain-dead; A dead mind with a living body. The process of becoming a Dead Mind is harsh and often shatters the mind into several shards, each a fragment of the person’s personality. These fragmented personalities are called Mind Shards.

Mind Shards cannot speak beyond their telepathy, but know any languages they knew in life.

A Mind Shard will send its Coma Zombie forwards and use its Spell-Like abilities to hinder the attackers.

An almost skeletal body, wrapped in little more than rags and a thin layer of flesh, lurches forwards with surprising dexterity. Out of the corner of your eye you see several shards of what appears to be crystal darting around, occasionally passing through a solid object.

A Coma zombie looks very similar to a regular zombie but heavily emaciated.

Coma Zombies can’t speak but can understand and follow complex instructions given by the Mind Shards in its collective.

A Coma Zombie can not be destroyed by directly damaging it. When the Coma Zombie is reduced to 0 hit points, it cannot take any more damage but is inactive until its Mind Shards are destroyed.

Dressed in fine fabrics, worn with age and full of holes, the nearly skeletal creature welcomes you into its home with a cheery “Hello, come right in.”

Dead Minds are the rare few who manage to survive the death of their mind intact. While their bodies are still alive, the Dead Minds exist similar to the Mind Shards, immaterial beings goading their still living flesh forwards. After the death of their bodies, Dead Minds become something different, a creature convinced it is still alive, even as its body rots around it.

Dead Minds can often be quite civil and friendly, at least in their minds. In reality, they are morbid and unnatural beings, clinging to a grim mockery of their former life. However, if there is any mention of death or dying, the Dead Mind will fly into a rage and try to kill any living being within a mile of their location, not even vermin are spared.

Really quite well done. They are all great, I could picture an entire adventure by just making an entire house full of Dead Mind's, all living together nicely. and when a hapless PC mentions death, you have to stop all the zombies. Great job.
