Okay, let's try some deductive reasoning on who "Scarlett" is. The livery of infantry seems to be rather standardized, along warlord motifs, so here goes:

RCC:
Jetstone: Yellow hues[/URL], Ansom wears uniques, but his warlords are standardized.
Unaroyal: ?
Sofa King: Orange and Purple (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0130.html)
Foxmud: Purple and Pink (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0146.html)
Hobbittm: ?
Transylvito: Black, with Brown, White, and Red accents (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0116.html)
Charlescomm: Blue stewardess outfits (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0046.html) or Red skirts and White blouses (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0111.html)

So, that leaves two unknown liveries: Unaroyal (1714) and Hobbittm (141) (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0096.html).

There are two unaccounted for liveries of Blue/Grey and Orange/Red. Considering how common Blue/Grey is, I would suppose Scarlett is of Hobbittm, regardless of implied height.

Thoughts?

Acutally i'm gonna go with Unaroyal...

My reasoning... Sofaking is the third biggest player (4th if you include the marbits) in this fight, so it makes sense that out of all the troops we have seen a large number of them would be from Sofaking; however we have never seen any orange and purple troops... Duke Nozzel seems to spend quite a bit of time around the grey armored female warlord. Considering how many grey units there are, i'm thinking that grey is the color of the Sofa King and Duke Nozzel just has unique armor, much like how Ansom never wears yellow (it could be a royalty thing)... the grey female warlord is a warlord working under him

Also, the red and orange amored units did seem to make up a large portion of the troops... it seemed like there we as many of them as there were of the grey armored troops and the jetstone troops... this lead me to believe that they are also a major player and thus provided a large number of troops... and that leaves us with Unaroyal

Frankly, i think hobitim is too small of a side to be the ones contributing the red and orange infantry... not to mention there name makes me think of hobits which are short(er)

Hobbittm is likely intended to be read as HobbitTM, a reference to how protective the Tolkien estate are of some of his creations. That's why D&D features halfings not hobbits. Wiki appears to confirm this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobbit#In_popular_culture)

Of course the faction's troops could still be short, but I don't think the faction's name should be taken as proof of this, & I don't recall seeing anything that looked like a hobbit in the comics so far. *shrug*

EDIT: cool, the BBcode for superscript works here

Thanks for the responses. I hope we can get even more perspectives.

I had similar thoughts about Duke Nozzle. Perhaps what kept me from committing to that is that his armor is not particularly "customized", in comparison to the other nobles' and royals' wardrobes.

I also have difficulty thinking Scarlett would become a SSGoW, but they are all halflings compared to Parson.

As a side note: Unaroyal in reality is Grey and Red. Ghah!

I'm slow and not getting it. Who's Unaroyal 'in reality'? (Google search reveals Uniroyal, makers of tires, and they have Red as their color).

Yes, Uniroyal. Sorry, I'm tired. Red is their color, but I was referring to their website scheme, etc.

Okay, I'm not tired. Exhausted is more the word. Well, I'd best call it a night now and prepare for another day explaining to corporate hacks at work why I call a critical part, "critical" for production.

Erfworld keeps me sane...sorta.

1. This (1st panel) (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0139.html) and this (1st and last panel) (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0141.html) comics imply that infantry clad in:
- yellow-sienna
- grayish-blue
- orange-red
uniforms comprise the bulk of RCC infantry as of the moment of garrison siege.
We know for sure that yellow-sienna livery is that of Jetstone.
That only leaves grayish-blue and orange-red liveries unknown, although we probably can assume that those belong to Unaroyal and Sofa King (judging from the fact that they boast the largest force (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0096.html) in the coalition after Jetstone).

2. Another interesting detail is that drawings of council here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0055.html), here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0062.html) and here (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0113.html) consistently depict 5 warlords: Ansom (of Jetstone), Duke Nozzle (of Sofa King) (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0130.html), Red female Warlord a.k.a. "Scarlet", Blue female dark-skinned Warlord, and Black-and-White Male Warlord (who actually might represent different varieties of elves (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0022.html)). (Occasionally we also see Vinny, a Marbit or late Webinar joining.)
Liveries of Red female Warlord a.k.a. "Scarlet" and Blue female dark-skinned Warlord look very much alike grayish-blue and orange-red liveries of infantry fighting in the courtyard (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0141.html).

3. There are non-infantry troops in RCC too. So far we saw various heavies (heavy cav, sourmanders, tcotchkes, cloth golems (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0009.html) to name a few), Weiner-rams, as well as siege engines, primarily siege towers).

I thought that the grayish-blue infantry troops and Blue female dark-skinned Warlord are from Unaroyal. I also assumed that the orange-red infantry troops are from FoxMUD (foxes are red, after all). However, it looks like (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0146.html) FoxMUD has purple-pink uniform. So now I am very much puzzled. One possibility is that Duke Nozzle is Chief Warlord for Sofa King and Blue female dark-skinned Warlord is his lieutenant (much like Webinar was to Ansom), but that is not very convincing since she seems to act and speak independently.

Perhaps, we can hope that a Word of Titan will tell us the truth.

Assuming Scarlet is still alive with the pliers the most recent comic seems like it might be a strike agianst her being part of unaroyal. They said they lost all their field units which i assume would include scarlet since she's out in the field... it could be that she's not being counted amongst them, but still it seems like a strike to me

Also as for my thoguhts on Duke Nozzel... looking at him a bit closer and i might have been jumping the gun to think he had unique armor being a royal and all... thing is, the 3 different infantry we've seen seem to have the same armor, just in different colors... Duke Nozzel also shares this with the only style different being his head gear; making it less likely that he has unique gear and just as similar armor as the rest of his infantry... i mean Jetstone didn't just wear his own colors, his gear was totally unique and i'd expect Duke Nozzel might do the same if he was going to

Grant it, the major probbaly with that is just wondering what the sofa king's units were since they made up such a large portion of the RCC... ntohign really stands out that seemed very numerous... unless maybe all his forces were hanging back as reserve or something

I was bold enough to ask Rob if he can possible tell us what faction in RCC wears what colors.
This is what he told me:

I think this is the kind of thing we'll save to put into the wiki when we move to our own site after Book 1. Shouldn't be too long to wait for that, and the site will go up before the story is over. So hang on for that and we'll get that settled as canon.
