OK. So Prince Handsome's out of the picture. We know that jumping into love affairs with anyone or anything is sort of Jillian's main specialty. Time to speculate!

Exhibit A: Jack. "I would've loved to take him with me on missions. And he'd've gone. ...I think he had a little crush on me." PLUS: Jack and Jill. The names go together.

Exhibit B: Vinny. "Watch Vinny. he can be terribly charming." PLUS: The loss of a mutual friend just might bring them closer together.

Other possibilities I've missed? Scarlet? Ceasar Borgata? Maggie?

It's fortunate that she wasn't at Gobwin Knob, or her next crush would have been several million tons of rock and lava.

Now there's a hot date...

It would certainly fit her volcanic temperament.

Ah, puns, the highest form of humor.

my two cents. It has been mentioned elsewhere, I believe, that Ansom never named an heir. However, I think that recently, after Jillian fully went over to Ansom's side, that A) Ansom may have named Jillian his heir. B) Ansom and Jillian may have, ah, "popped" an heir. Erfworld is speculatively PG13, so nothing explicit is implied, but we still don't know how units are popped *Especially High ranks, such as casters, heirs, and royalty* C) As far as Jillian having crushes, she's been relationally damaged by her 2 or 3 most recent romances. Not just damaged, but betrayed (wanda) and heartbroken (ansom). I don't think further romance is in the books for her, unless it's further self destructive.

Happy speculating!^_^

Only Rulers have heirs. Ansom was a Chief Warlord, not Ruler. Someone else has been named Chief Warlord of Jetstone, already.

Yep, the new Chief Warlord of Jetstone is Ansom's brother, Prince Armin.

Well, she has already started hitting on Caesar.

my two cents.

Nope, units are popped by royal decree, sexuality has no procreative purposes in Erfworld. There's no child and no babymaking.

Nope, units are popped by royal decree.

This is oddly reminiscent of that "fornicating under consent of the king" urban legend, ya know.

More like hitting Ceaser than hitting ON him. She may stake him as well.

Stanley.
Why?
Because he dont destroy her kingdom.
When he was there and pick Jack and Wanda he was on quest to find ArkenTools.
But he didnt find any.
BTW Who had Arkentools? Who Wanda hate?

They say love is blind - lust, not so much. Still, I don't think he's doomed to eternal virginity. If he ever makes it back to Earth, I could see him turning his life completely around now that he's had an experience with making a profound impact on the world around him.

Also, if Jillian's next crush had been the volcano, she wouldn't have to ask it, "did the earth move for you?"

Would it be silly to object to this characterization of Jillian?

Good point- probably not entirely. On the other hand, isn't everyone looking for companionship on some level, whether they're an erfworlder or one of us Earth-dwellers?

Also, folks love to speculate on the next relationship/breakup in Hollywood - this probably falls under that type of discussion.

Granted- I think following Hollywood relationships is not worth my time, but that's just my personal choice.

I don't see the need to hope this. Look at him. I mean really.I'm reminded of the Buck Godot strip where Lou is learning just why Hoffmanittes don't date normal humans.

"They're also a bit... fragile."
"Oof. I see."

I've never heard that one. It's always been "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" in my experience. I've even seen a woodblock print once of a girl in stocks with the word above her head. Not that, that proves anything. It's not as if I verified the date of the blockprint.

The word might well origin before writing for all we know, and thus be very unlikely to be an acronym of any kind.

As far as I know, these are all folk etymology at its most atrocious.

I still don't agree with "We know that jumping into love affairs with anyone or anything is sort of Jillian's main specialty."

She certainly didn't jump into Ansom's bed (or carpet) in a hurry; they certainly had known each other for a good while before the start of the story. Likewise, her relationship with Wanda is, to put it lightly, complicated and something which we do not completely comprehend.

Correct. It goes back to pre anglo saxon times and is etymologically related to "poke".

Actually, no.

The World Wide Words (http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-fuc1.htm) website has this to say on the matter. Germanic, apparantly.

I would be more amused if it was an accronym for something like "Friendly Undressing Creates Kids".

Backronyms are fun, boys and girls!

Jillian doesn't sound like she's ever had a romantic interest in Jack. Her description of him reminded me more of the fond way a girl might describe her little brother.

As for Vinny, it's harder to say. He and Jillian have never shown an interest in each other beyond maybe a platonic friendship. I have no doubt that Ansom's death will bring them closer together, but I just don't see them romantically involved. This is a vulnerable time for both, but Vinny doesn't seem the type to let his emotions make his decisions for him.

If anything, I wouldn't be too surprised if Jillian tried to mend things with Wanda later on...Whether or not Wanda is open to that is another story. :smalleek:

Who wouldn't want the assistance of a master-class foolamancer on mercenary missions?

Yes, english and all its ancestors are germanic languages. My information comes from the unabridged OED which traces it further back than the website you cited.
