We share nightmare vision. The only times I get scared or squicked on my dreams is when my subconsciousness either pops up an evil scarecrow(:smalleek:) or pairs up my mum and my grandma.(:smallyuk:) Wich is weird. Ah! also when this kind of pairings proceeds to... appears. Still, I think it's because I haven't any more SAN to get scared/squicked. Or else my will save is too high? :smallconfused: dunno.

I think we people think about this stuff because, even if it makes us squick, throw up and soak in acid, we feel some wretched pleasure by thinking of it. Just my 2 psycology-lated cp.

Miko x Redcloak is...actually quite a good ship, now that I think about it. Both ultra-lawful characters desperately needing redemption, neither really seeing it...well, Redcloak has a pretty good idea, but he just feels so helpless about it in the face of his whole sunk-costs thing.

Complicating this is that I actually thought Miko was sympathetic right up until she murdered Lord Shojo, and not necessarily irredeemable until she blew up the castle.

But Redcloak is sympathetic too, though, just in a very different way.

Okay, so, here's the fanfic setup. It's the end of the strip. Xykon's killed for good and the plan spectacularly foiled forever (no focus on how this happened). Miko gets rezzed (somehow), Redcloak has no idea what the hell to do with his life next. They meet up, smack each other around a bit, get interrupted by a raging whatever, run for their lives (possibly while completely failing to call a truce, knowing them), find somewhere to hide with one HP and no healing left, and collapse from exhaustion.

When they wake up, they immediately fight for a little bit, Miko overpowers him (he wouldn't have had time to request new spells, but she's still a monk), then remembers words about considering she might be wrong, lets him live. They end up talking, Redcloak realizes they both need direction, and eventually they decide to go on a redemption roadtrip and get over their respective hangups and bitterness.

And with that rather humorless setup out of the way, Hilarity Ensues.

Come to think of it, that's not an especially romantic setup, but, whatever. Find, plan B.

Redcloak resurrects Miko to serve his eternally frustrated needs, but when she escapes and turns the tables on him, Redcloak quickly realizes he's an ultra-submissive, and so she embraces her dominant side.

"I can detect you're evil and deserve to be punished...", she coos.

Meanwhile, Xykon walks into the crystal ball room, sees the Monster and the demon roaches watching the scene unfold, and backs away, wishing he still had eyes he could gouge out.

Actually, with the set up, Miko and Redcloak can be plausible. I don't think it's plausible in the comic's setting--Miko's dead and Redcloak will probably be dead by the end too--but if they actually got together and didn't kill each other, they would have a lot in common.

I don't think they are of similar ages. Redcloak's niece would be 3-4 years older than when she appeared in SoD, which puts her somewhere in her teens. V's children, while chronologically older, are in kindergarten.

I doubt such an offspring would be viable. Either Miko would commit sepuku for bearing "the spawn of an evil creature" or Redcloak might not think the child would help goblinkind.

It's called "character development." I could see them quite easily having epiphanies and demonstrating once and for all the possibilities that

1) Goblins and Humans can live in harmony

and

2) Even the most deep-seated emotional issues can be cured by the POWER OF LOVE!

(SoD spoilers)I'm glad somebody pointed out Redcloak's Niece's age. Now I can stop wondering if shipping her with Lord Shojo or joining Miko and Sangwaan in a Threesome of Goblin-Human Harmony is plausible.

Maybe she'll spend a decade cleaning up her uncle's mess and then marry Goblin Dan for the money.

Well, I think Redcloaks neice will marry Hinjo, personaly, I mean, that will sort out the whole Azure city problem nicely, get a better deal for goblins and that sort of thing.
However, I don't think Redcloak gets a love interest. I do hope he dies laughing at Xykon as the lich finds out he's been used, but my hopes are going that such an event will come to pass.
As to Belkar, well he will be dead soon, and the entire cast will be putting on there blue swede shoes to hava a party on the track of earth where they burried him.
