Is there any way to link to a single post, independent of its thread? I remember seeing something like that before, but I can't remember how they did it...

Click that little number in the upper right hand corner of a post.

Just like above, check the link to the individual post. The url will have a post number in it. That number is after the "?p=".

For instance, your post above has the url http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6064224&postcount=4. The post number is "6064224".

Once you take that number you can use the "[post]" tags to link to the post.

Continuing with our example, you can link to your post by using "The Rose Dragon's post!" to produce:

The Rose Dragon's post!

That said, I prefer people linking to the post in the thread rather than just the single post, since I like to see the post's context.

I had this quastion in my head but didn't dare ask, becouse I thought, you know, there shoud be someone with the same problem.
