Cain, Glass Prince, Bringer of Sorrows, Scourge of the Omnishop, finds himself back in the Town after a spate of genocides and deicides. However, the half-fiend dwarf no longer frequents Trog's Tavern, picking fights with the locals, nor does he slumber in a cubby in the back of Gent's shop. No.
Cain finds himself in The White Tower, a prison built by his half brother, the renegade celestial Abel. Abel knows that Cain is weakest in the Town, where he cannot fully draw on the infernal energies that give him his demonic powers. The Tower is purpose built, a maze of traps and monsters that would test even the most powerful of foes. Warded from scrying and even the most powerful of teleports, Cain's friend and occasional lover Violet Valentine finds herself powerless to help, teleported to a pocket dimension by one of Abel's many nefarious traps. Cain can only hope that either the lure of fame and adventure, or the price on his head, lures some plucky young adventurer to try and resuce him.
The Tower itself is, apparently, accessed by a single small doorway at its base.
