Can someone explain this furth to me?

I have monk a at 4th level. He has a BAB of +3 and a flurry of +1/+1. So my question is do I add the +1 to my BAB, or does the +1 replace my BAB?

The +1 replaces your BAB. Essentially, Flurry of Blows adds another attack, but applies a -2 penalty.

Well why didn't they just say that, instead of putting that weird progression chart in there?

Thanks for the answer.

They do. The chart is just a quick reference.
Here is the long explanation of Flurry of Blows:

They do say that in the flurry of blows description, they just added the table for easy reference.

Edit: damn ninja!

Reading that is what sent me here to ask. Think I might be having a bad brain day. :smalltongue: So -2 on flurry until 9th level? If I understand that correctly.

No. It's a -2 until you reach 5th level, at which point it reduces by one, and then at 9th level it vanishes entirely.
