Well, it's been a long time coming...but my wife gave birth Tuesday night. Search past threads and you'll find the one where I found out we were pregnant. Long story short, we had a lot of difficulties just getting there.

At 31 weeks we had somewhat serious difficulties because our little girl decided she wanted to storm the gates a little early, and she had a very powerful batter ram. However, our awesome Doctor and hospital staff held her off with ballistas, boiling hot oil, and of course...well placed arrow slits.

At 34 weeks she tried again by using magical and alchemical warfare and poisned mommy's urine, resulting in mild Toxcemia. But the Doc, a far superior mage, was able to counter the damage with a few well placed charms.

Now at 36 weeks she said "enough is enough", and began monster charges at the uterus. Doc said "let's end this war" and admitted. After he broker and water and put on Oxytocin (a med to speed up contraction and push the baby down) baby decided...nevermind, I'm staying up here. And didn't move and inch.

After some talks with the Doc he said that since her water had broke, we were risking infections and such if she wasn't delivered soon. He advised a C Section.

So, on 6-16-09 at 11:17pm, Kylee Denae Booth was born at 5 lbs. 10 oz. She's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Both mom and baby and doing great.

Here's a link to a few pics I threw on Flickr while in the hospital.

Congratulations. :) One of my friend's little girl is 8 weeks now and she is precious.

Now be sure to indoctrinate her into D&D soon, otherwise you may loose the window of opportunity. ;) Although judging by this post I don't think you'll have a problem.

Never hurts to start early, and it just so happens that there's just the right product (http://www.rpgshop.com/default/large-d20-plush-die.html) out there for introducing your new bundle of joy (and drool) to gaming. :smallwink:

May I humbly suggest to teach her counting with a d20? We need fresh meat there in the Dungeons to feed the dragons have fun.

Congrats!

Welcome to your new life: diapers, sleepless nights, vomit, and crying for no apparent reason.

Say good-bye to your old life: sleepless nights, vomit...crying for no reason...OK, so things are pretty much the same. Except for the diapers, and if those were already part of your life, then you party waaaaaaaay to hard for me.

Congratulations! She's absolutely beautiful!

Having just become a dad myself nine weeks ago, I've discovered: gamers have an advantage as parents. Kylee won't sleep more than two or (pleasepleaseplease!) three hours at a stretch for quite a while, which makes those marathon all-night games NOTHING BUT PRACTICE for fatherhood!

Now, go ignore the internet and give the new one all the cuddles and snuggles and huggles you have in you.
