Exactly what it says, tell the world your favourite song from the legend himself.
Disclaimer: There is a thread here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116258) for paying your respects etc. This one is for his music and nothing else.
As with that one please refrain from speaking ill of the recently deceased thank you.
Personally, my favourite Michael Jackson single is Dirty Diana, as with any music I like, I couldn't tell you why, but I just love it.

They told him don't you ever come around here
Don't wanna see your face, you better disappear
The fire's in their eyes and their words are really clear
So beat it, just beat it
You better run, you better do what you can
Don't wanna see no blood, don't be a macho man
You wanna be tough, better do what you can
So beat it, but you wanna be bad
Just beat it, beat it, beat it, beat it
No one wants to be defeated
Showin' how funky strong is your fighter
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Just beat it, beat it
Etc.
The dancing in this vid was epic.

They play that one in the store I work at all the time. I find myself sometimes singing along to it.
I also like Blood On The Dance Floor.

Because I'm bad, I'm bad-come on
(bad bad-really, really bad)
You know I'm bad, I'm bad-you know it
(bad bad-really, really bad)
You know I'm bad, I'm bad-come on, you know
(bad bad-really, really bad)
And the whole world has to answer right now
Just to tell you once again,
Who's bad.
Yeah, it's gotta be Bad for me.

I would have to go with the stuff before he went solo. Basically any song with Jacksons / Jackson 5.

Billie Jean is definitely my favorite, and I consider it one of the best songs of all time. There is nothing like it, even by MJ.

Seconded, & QTF. I also love Liberian Girl, Remember the Times, & Smooth Criminal. And of course Thriller, but that's mostly for the video.
The first album I ever bought was Dangerous, & I still proudly own it.

Smooth Criminal is the song I automatically think of when you mention Michael Jackson, since the first time I heard it. And I was a little kid back then, maybe 5-6. So that.
And I even didn't know how it's called until some time ago.

I think I'll have to go with Thriller, although Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, P.Y.T. and ABC are all close contenders.
The man had some really catchy songs.
Smooth Criminal and Billie Jean

I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you yes we're one and the same
Now I believe in miracles
And a miracle just happened tonight
(Woo!)
But if you're thinking 'bout my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I love this song for three reasons. One, it was the only song I really knew while growing up. (I was too young for the other classics) Two, I liked the multicultural tolerance message, even back then. And three, one of the guys in the music video's "face-morphing" scene looks exactly like my dad.

How has no one here said heal the world or black and white yet?! :smallconfused: The rest of his songs were good there is no doubt, but none of them really had the raw emotion he put into those two songs..

I'm gonna go with GrandMasterMe and say Black and White... I don't really know why, but I like this song....
I do prefer some of the Weird Al parodies of MJ to the actual songs....

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Workin' Day And Night have gotten a semi-regular spot in my rotation in recent weeks, so I'll go with them.

Dirty Diana has always been my favourite Jackson song. A harder, edgier sound than his other stuff, and with Steve Stevens on the guitar - a little shift towards rock. It's great and quite different sounding from the rest of his singles. I only recently found out that 'Diana' in the video is Sheryl Crow.
I quite like many of his other songs already mentioned here as well: Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, Black or White, and They Don't Care About Us.
