I think AM Fields are a bit overpowered. Here's an idea how to limit it:

Anti-magic fields still block all spellcasting and magical effects originating inside the field. It is possible to cast certain spells from outside into the field.

Anti-magic fields still block and suppress all spells and magical effects that aren't instantaneous. This makes it possible to disintegrate something inside a field, but not target something inside with telekinesis or dominate person.

Thoughts?

Should be fine. The real point of AMF is to disable buffs (to let wizards get hit or prevent flying across chasms or whatever) so you could even allow casting within the field--as long as it's instantaneous and single-target, of course--without introducing too many balance issues.

One thing I did was raise the level of AMF to 7th level, & then make several lesser versions that only block low-level spells. AMF#1 is a 3rd level spell that blocks 0-1SL, AMF#2 is a 4th level spell that blocks 0-3SL, AMF#3 is a 5th level spell that blocks 0-5SL, AMF#4 is a 6th level spell that blocks 0-7SL, & AMF#5 is a 7th level spell that blocks everything. It's kinda like the globe of invulnerability spells, only more graduated.
