Here's a thread for anyone who wants to come up with new fighter feats. Here's one of my own:

Personalized Technique

Prerequisites: Combat Expertise

Your fighting style is unique and hard to predict. You may base your bluff roll for the purposes of feints off of Dex instead of Cha.

You would think Improved feint would be a prerequisite for that as well, no?

I was thinking about that, but I decided that though it plays out in terms of feints it really isn't about feinting. It's about a character that has either taught themselves an ecclectic fighting style or been trained in a really uncommon one and become an expert at that, thus Combat Expertise. This is still obviously a good choice for a high dex character who takes Improved Feint.

Yeah, it almost goes without saying that someone who takes this would almost definitely take Improved Feint. No need to list it as a prereq, as they're so mutually beneficial.

That's pretty nice, though I'm wondering why they drop their weapon. I still want to have a feat that swaps dex for cha though.

How about you stun them instead since that also causes them to drop weapon?

Personal Technique [General, Fighter]
: Your ability to feint is hard to predict and more about mobility than personal worth.

Prerequisites: Combat Expertise

Benefit: Your fighting style is unique and hard to predict. You may base your bluff roll for the purposes of feints off of Dex instead of Cha.
Special: Fighters may choose this feat as a bonus feat
and

Personalized Technique [General, Fighter]

And my new feat:

Martial Finess [General, Fighter]

Prequisites: Weapon Focus, Bab +3, Dex 15+

Benefit: Choose a melee weapon that you can use 1 handed and have weapon focus with. With the slected weapon, you maybe use dex in place of strength even if not normally a finessible weapon.

Improved Dodge [General, Fighter]:
You are an expert at dodging blows.

The Martial Finesse - Instinctive Strike - Strike Without Thought chain is...or could be, anyway, really overly strong. It's true that it requires 4 feats, and encourages an interesting fighter build with a wisdom bonus.

However, a munchkin would just take those feats with his monk or cleric...

True but look at BAB: A Cleric or Monk isn't going to be able to use them till much higher level.

Strike Without Thought: Requires Monk/Cleric level 16th to pull BAB off.

I see, the late entry as a balancing factor: that is how they determine Prc/feat balancing how hard it is to to get.

I think Strike Without Thought is a little unbalanced because it lets you base one thing off of two combined stats. But I like the other ones a lot. Especially strength of mind.

What exactly do mean Preternatural Strike to do? I wasn't quite clear on the "before you know its success" part.

Tower Shield Mastery is pretty great.

Here's some more feats:

Determined Charge

Prerequisites: Power Attack

When charging towards an enemy you gain +5 on your will and fortitude saves due to any action by that one opponent.

Spell Parry

Prequisite: Weapon Focus

You may attempt a reflex saving throw against spells that do not normally permit it by holding up a cold iron weapon that you have Weapon Focus for between you and the caster. If you succeed you have +10 spell resistance that the spell must overcome to affect you. You must stop moving to use this ability. If normally allowed you may roll a will save in addition to this.

Complete Tackle

Prerequisites:Power Attack,Improved Bull Rush

Benefit:You gain an additional +2 to strength checks when bull rushing and you may chose to Tackle your oppenent. When you chose to tackle it works like this, you must make a melee touch attack. If you succeed your attack then you and the person you hit make strength checks(you gain all your bonuses to bull rush)If you succed you are both knocked down prone in the same square, and you may make a grapple check, with no attack of opertunity, If you succeed this too your oppenent must make a Dc 15 reflex save or drop anything in there hands. If you fail in either of these checks(melee touch or strenght) you are knocked down prone from where you attacked.

Preternatural Reflexes: [General, Fighter]

Prequisites: Bab +3, Wis 13+, Lightning Reflexes

Benefit: 3 times/days as a immediate action, reroll a reflex save before you know its success. You must accept new roll even if lower.
Special: Fighters may choose this feat as a bonus feat
Basically reroll 1 every other round a reflex save before you know if you made it.

Example: Fireball with DC let us say 16. But you don't know this: you can only guess what DC is.

A Fighter with BAB 3 and lightning reflexes has at least: +1 base Reflex and +2 from LR=+3.
You roll a 10 and declare you are using feat, as an immediate action (using next turn's Swift action), you can reroll your save.

Next you roll a 8. Lower but you have to accept it. So you failed.

You could a rolled higher the second time and saved succesfully.

I guess Strike Without Thought is powerful though. Maybe another Prequisites?

Determined Charge

Prerequisites: Power Attack

When charging towards an enemy you gain +5 on your will and fortitude saves due to any action by that one opponent.

+5 is rather high...maybe +4?

Whoa +10? Maybe +1 per Bab (Max +10)? This way it doesn't become too strong at low levels.

I didn't make those feats clear enough. Determined Charge should have a limited range. Only if by charging you can reach the mage on your next turn. This gives it something of a minimum and maximum distance. And maybe +5 is too high. +3 might work better.

As for Spell Parry, remember you need to succeed a reflex saving throw just to be able to use it, and you have to stop moving if you are doing so, so it ends any charges, giving the caster plenty of time to throw something else at you.

And here's an idea for Strike Without Though: What if it lets you use the average of your strength and wisdom score? Not as powerful as before but still very good for someone much wiser than they are strong.

Strike without thought is too powerful. Insightful strike, which lets you add your intelligence bonus to damage rolls, is an epic level feat in complete warrior.

Martial fitness is likewise too powerful, as longsword fitness is an epic level feat (don't remember the source).

Improved dodge should be +2 against 1 opponent only, or a +1 against all.

Instinctive strike is too powerful. A 9th level monk with it and weapon finesse would never need strength. Once again, I have to say epic level.

Missile dodge should be +2 with another +2 for defensive.

All-Out attack should deduct -10 from AC and add +5 to attack, as it's parent in the feat tree acts.

Tower shield Mastery: the +4 bonus from the tower shield means that you are gaining cover from it (in 3.0 they even called it that). Getting additional cover against ranged attacks is reaching.
