Shuriken of melted hearts

This heartshaped +1 shuriken melts into the target's flesh upon hitting it, it doesn't deal damage but damage is rolled to determine the DC.
The target gets a will save (DC 10+damage done, DC 15+damage done for critical) or falls in love with the thrower, this is a mind-affecting effect.
The target gets another save after one hour and then one save each month, if she makes this save the effect wears off.

No extra magical effects can be added to the shuriken (no spells either).
The shuriken has no effect on creatures with int 2 or lower.
A target can only be under the effect of a single shuriken, the latest that hit her, a thrower can however have multiple persons under the effect of her shuriken.
The shuriken can only be used once, as it melts into the target's body and leaves a hearth shaped spot.

The effect can be removed with the following spells: Remove Curse, Dispel Magic, Greater Dispel Magic, Miracle, Wish

Enchantment (moderate), Cl 12, craft magic arms and armor, charm monster, Price: 32.001 gp, Costs: 16.000 gp and 5 sp + 1280 XP. (For 5 shuriken)

So, what do you think?

That seems like a really stiff price for 5 shruiken...

5 shuriken that could make a villain love you for months :P

Considering Shruikens do d2 damage, that's gonna be a really paltry Will save to avoid the effect...And remember, love can have its downsides... :D

Yeah, villains sometimes tend towards the... shall we say violent side of the bedchamber?

Even on the non-naughty side, there's still bad sides to love. What if the villain decides that he loves the player so much, he wants to keep them forever? That could lead to some nasty Imprison spells or such similar, that might last far beyond the duration of the shruiken's effects - at which point the now-POed villian undoes the spell and fries his former love.

Sad but true: loving someone doesn't mean you do what they say.

Granted, it would stop the villain from trying to kill you. But he might go right ahead with his plan to destroy the multiverse.

If he's a lieutenant, his boss might twig to what's going on and cast Love's Pain (from the BoVD) on him...

Too expensive for 5. Why not twenty or so? But work in a conditional that if they fail the saves they have to roll on a table.

% die.

1-50 enslaved. Will do whatever said, will follow around.
51-70 terrified. will skulk around and follow in the shaows like an assassin. Will refuse to talk to thrower. Will hide or run if confrontation is forced.
71-99 Decides to join party. Will go out at night and kill big things. Dragging the corpses back. Kills anything the thrower tries to fight. If another person is enchanted while the thrower has one of these following around, they kill the newly enchanted.
100. Turns emo. Slits wrists and comes running out to thrower screaming FOR YOU! I DID IT FOR YOU! I'M NOT WORTHY!
