Alright, this is going to be a somewhat odd request. I'm working on a paladin for an epic-level gestalt game that'll be running on these boards.
The thing is, he doesn't worship a normal Lawful Good god. He worships Kysul (http://www.incursion-roguelike.org/man/Pantheon.html#KY), who is basically Nice Cthulu.

So I'm trying to find a mount that is a) effective at epic levels, and b) sufficiently weird to be flavorful. My initial thought was a giant octopus with the Winged template, but the DM vetoed that for a LG paladin. I may ask if I can have a Half-Celestial giant octopus instead, but I need more ideas. I also considered a 3.5 version of the Flumph (http://www.enworld.org/cc/converted/aberration/flumph.htm), but they're Small and I don't know of any way to bump them up to Large so that they're actually rideable.

So, what bizarre creatures are out there in the world of DnD that a paladin could theoretically take as a mount? Being aquatic, lawful and/or good, and tentacled are all bonuses.

EDIT: The DM approved Half-Celestial, so this is now resolved.
