What song would you have for your theme song? For this thread name the top 3 songs that, for what ever reason, you want to be your theme song.

Mine would be

Blow me away (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yHuuBZgif0) By Breaking Benjamin

Stronger (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jzSh_MLNcY) By Kanye West

Fort Minor - Where'd You Go? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feeuoERYOV0) Fits the only real angst I've ever had.

System of a Down - Violent Pornography (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBMj7l7HtZc) Because sometimes I doubt my own sanity and I don't like the programming on TV these days.

The Imperial March.

2009-07-27, 05:58 AM
The emperor's theme tune from Star Wars

2009-07-27, 06:07 AM
In my own mind, it's the Imperial March (or maybe the Metal version of the March from that videogame...) like the last two posters.

But everyone I know would probably tell you that my theme song is You're So Vain.

2009-07-27, 06:14 AM
I think I'll go with Pink Floyd's High Hopes.

2009-07-27, 06:19 AM
Right at this moment, it has to be Die Laughing by Therapy?

2009-07-27, 06:28 AM
Mine changes, but at the moment it's Turisas- Miklagards Overture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwekhqAdYd8). :smalltongue:

2009-07-27, 07:19 AM

Yeah... Don't ask.

2009-07-27, 09:07 AM
Three Imperial March ones in a row? Well, it is a nice tune, but I'm not Sith enough for it to fit in real life. As part of my online persona, though... sure, why not. That takes care of one, so what shall I choose for the other two?

Moskau, by Dschinghis Khan, of course. It is my favorite song, after all.

And for the last one, I don't know what I'll choose. I'll have to return on that one.

I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked, by Ida Maria.

Nah, probably Hey Jude by the Beatles.

Night on Bald Mountain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCEDfZgDPS8) by Modest Mussorgsky

The 1812 Overture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkS9THHjp38) by Tchaikovsky

I am the Walrus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yNcE8c3j2M) by the Beatles

@OP: The song that we would want, or the songs that would fit us? Those are very different things :smallwink:.

2009-07-27, 10:33 AM
There really is only one thing I can think of that would be fitting. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jwup4ItqyNQ)

@OP: The song that we would want, or the songs that would fit us? Those are very different things :smallwink:.

Either/or your choice

2009-07-27, 11:46 AM
There really is only one thing I can think of that would be fitting. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jwup4ItqyNQ)OH GOD. Nostalgia crits me for 9999 damage.

Anyway, my life's soundtrack (the contents of my Zen) lacks a leitmotif structure. Let me think...

2009-07-27, 11:52 AM
Zydrate Anatomy (Repo the Genetic Opera), Shout 2000 (Disturbed version), The Distance (Cake).

Haha, that is great.

I had to think about my other two for awhile. Finally I decided on:

Colorless Sky (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tJb8yaDcNI)

Bach Cello Suite No. 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwHpDOWhkGk)

The Vorpal Tribble
2009-07-27, 12:27 PM
These span completely opposing genres and yet each one could be my theme song for their own reasons:

Jillian (I'd Give My Heart) - Within Temptation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2xrInkRT_w)
I Can Love You Like That - John Michael Montgomery (can't find link)
I Cannot See His Color - The Village soundtrack (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CrkQWFHm-8)

My "theme song" seems to change depending on my mood.

Currently, it's Fix You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI-o25K6B-E) by Coldplay. Quite sad, but hopeful at the same time.

All for reasons of their own.

2009-07-27, 01:24 PM
Oh just great. Thanks to Mr. Moron, I'm stuck to listening to power rangers theme now.

my second life theme would be this

They Might Be Giant's Older (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQd4tAQJT_M)

2009-07-27, 01:58 PM
The theme has changed over the years.

It was this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poalTChx2nk) during my pathetic 'emo' period. Now it's this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktv2C9vnRKU), but I want to find a reason to make it this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRUf30Afcyo).

Somebody to love by Queen

2009-07-27, 05:18 PM
This is something that requires further thought on my part, but I realized earlier today that No Handlebars fits me very well...mostly the darker side of it.

I've always felt that the song was a scathing indictment of a certain political administration...rhymes with "tush".

The song that inspires me the most, evoking my innermost dreams: The Night Beckons, by Midnight Syndicate. It's simple--just a little piano piece played over the sounds of wind blowing. It reminds of all the times, I've looked up into stormy skies and felt they were calling to me.

The song that I get most excited about when it comes up on my iPod, often playing it repeatedly before moving on to the next song: The Prince, covered by Metallica. It's pretty much standard metal fare but it really does something for me.

2009-07-27, 08:52 PM
Number One (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oIBiE5HfFk)

I know its not really how I am but its most definitly how I feel and I act as if I was the Number One all the time. And I really love it.

2009-07-27, 09:11 PM
My theme song is Angel's Song (http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt-ZXopJfbT67I/anime_angels_angels_song/) by Ayumi Hamasaki.

I'm afraid I could find no videos with English lyrics.:smallfrown:

2009-07-27, 09:15 PM
Total Trash.

Sonic Youth.

There's no good reason, but it would sound nice as one enters a room.

A Nightingale sang in Berkley Square (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mIyDGc7fNM&feature=PlayList&p=EF21FD45A7C1CC02&index=85) Wow. This is a fantastic arrangement I found.
Spain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9dMxiZQ_sk&feature=channel)
Hungarian Dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3X9LvC9WkkQ)

I'm worried I picked songs that I like, rather than songs that represent me... Nah I'm sure I'm good there.

2009-07-30, 02:23 PM
Pretty much anything off Pants Control.

Dang i love that cd

2009-07-30, 02:38 PM

Wrapped up in Books (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBU-MxydbWQ) ~ Belle and Sebastian
