Also, before you join, read the Rules of the Spork (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4768413&postcount=489). If you are not a member, then when your character arrives, you will be outside the front door and must roleplay getting entry, but bear in mind that whenever your character enters GLoG, alignment scanners will try to detect his/her current intention's alignment (so even the most evil of people might come off as good, if they think they are. If you wish to post, IC, on GLoG's bulletin board, it is located here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108523), and there is a Full Members list here. Front Entrance - Where people go in.
Great Room - The main lounge.
Infirmary Wing - Only slightly more equipped than the average hospital. Expect to be here. A lot.
Member Quarters - Where people sleep. Rooms can be fully customized, and several times bigger on the inside than they really should be, due to dimensional mojo.
Gazebo - Step cautiously, and you may just survive.
Pool Area - Indoor Pool and Hot-tubs.
The Armory - If you can kill someone with it, it's there.
The Conservatory - Rare plant specimens abound!
Covered Walkways - Are Covered.

Basement 1

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/GLoG/GLoGBasement.png

Water Works - A veritable mass of pipes.
The Vaults - Shiny...
The Labs - Beware the Mutant-Half-Were-Pirate-Zombie-Dog.
Detention Blocks - Totally humane, we swear! :smalleek:
Sparring Pits
Training Mats
Shooting Range
Obstacle Course Area - Over eleventy billion possible combinations!

Basement 2

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/GLoG/GLoGSub-Basement.png

Secret Drone Factory - Completely Inaccessible. Who built it? SECRET! Who designed the drones? SECRET! How do the drones even get from the factory to the base if it's 'completely inaccessible' anyway? I SAID IT'S SECRET GODDAMIT!
Particle Accelerator - Why do we even have one of these? :smallconfused:
Roof
http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/GLoG/Roof.png

Helipads - For helicopters and other VTOL type aircraft to land. Duh.
Garage - Is a lot bigger on the inside, due to dimensional mojo. [Insert witty comment or pun here]
Vehicle Teleporter - Used to get ground vehicles from the roof to the ground. May or may not be a lift-ramp-portal-mass-driver-cannon thing.

Members Only Areas:
Some areas of the base are DNA locked and alignment locked so that only members with no evil intent can enter unescorted. These include the Security Room, the Armoury, the Detention Wing, and the Artifact Vault.

Artifact Vault - Set next to the Armory, this is where GLoG's major artifacts are stored. The door is DNA locked to members only.
The Brightheart
The Brightheart is a plain orb, set upon a stone plinth labeled 'The Brightheart'. Also on the plinth is a note that says:
'Do Not Remove. Ever. No, not even then. (But maybe then.)'
The Brightheart itself glows with inner light, and throws up a positive energy blanket of moderate strength (heals most surface wounds, and makes undead sick) a few meters in radius. Touching the Brightheart results in having a large amount of positive energy run through you (heals all wounds, and drives undead to near death). Inside the plinth itself is a gate to the Negative Energy realm, which draws off the excess positive energy from the Brightheart. Should the Brightheart be removed, and taken away from the base without the necessary preparations being made, two Very Bad ThingsTM will happen.
A) The Brightheart's positive energy will not be siphoned off, and so it will be returned to full strength, throwing up a powerful positive energy blanket about a kilometer in radius, and killing anyone who touches it, living or no, through sheer positive energy overdose.
B) The gate to the Negative Energy realm will become unstable and tear, creating a giant Negative Energy rift in the middle of GLoG.

Other information may well be found on our wiki (http://goodleagueofgood.wikidot.com/start).
The GLoG portals:
The portal between GLoG and HALO is still open, providing instantaneous transportation between the two organisations.
But anyone passing through it arrives outside the front door. If they've already been cleared (previously interacted with GLoG without hostilities), they can walk straight in without having to roleplay out knocking on the door and so on.
There is also a smaller portal operating between GLoG and Farthing Cottage (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111819)

First time visitors, or people who have previously caused trouble have to wait for someone to undeadtime to decide whether they can enter the building (GLoG), or not, unfortunately. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Umm... I kinda lost track of her, actually... Sorry... Her wings spread once again, this time reaching forward slowly. She catches the unconscious act and draws them back.

Raril takes a few quick steps back. "Ookay, well, I'm gonna go see if I can find some of my other friends." He points back over his shoulder, deeper into the GloG compound, and spins to walk in that direction.

Hmm. Ashna turns to the winged girl. Have you had any progress on getting home yet?

Jacklu
2009-08-11, 11:46 PM
The girl watches Raril go and sighs. She looks over at Ashna and shakes her head. I'm beginning to wonder if it is even possible. Or if it would be a good idea. If I go back, I would be bringing something with me that I really don't want to share with my family.

2009-08-11, 11:50 PM
It might not be, but you shouldn't give up.
She frowns, suspicious again. What do you mean by that?

Jacklu
2009-08-11, 11:54 PM
Er... Well, the thing is... She kicks herself mentally for saying too much. These wings are... a bit dangerous... Not the whole truth, but as much as she feels like giving right now.

Recaiden
2009-08-11, 11:57 PM
More than they look like? It sure seemed like you were controlling them before.
The fire around her damps down just a little bit, and then flares back up.
I'm sure you can learn to control them, if that's all you mean. They aren't another person, are they?

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:00 AM
Not exactly... I mean... They tend to do things on their own... Again, not the whole truth, but enough.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:05 AM
I know you can keep it under control though.
Well, she's just a naturally suspicious person. She doesn't actually know that.
What else did you mean? You had those wings when you walked in.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:09 AM
Yeah, but I didn't have them before I got... pulled here. She ruffles the wings a little.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:10 AM
Sorry, but they don't seem dangerous at all. I can't help but think you meant something else.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:16 AM
Oh, trust me, they are dangerous all right. She motions towards the pile of material that used to be a couch. I kinda broke it in my sleep.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:20 AM
That's a couch. You won't be sleeping on top of many people in that position.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:23 AM
The girl blushes at that remark. N-no, I was implying that these wings did that to the couch on their own. And it isn't even the first thing they have done that to.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:26 AM
I'm sure they'd understand and help you out. They're your . . . fami . . .ly. She trails off.
Okay. But that can't be all. You never mentioned it before. What's up?

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:37 AM
The girl shies away from Ashna under the interrogation. I... I'm still really confused about what happened to me... I just... I'm worried that I might hurt somebody on accident... or worse...

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:38 AM
We'll figure it out. The wings and how you got here and whatever it is you don't want to talk about. You won't kill anyone here.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:42 AM
I... She is dangerous. Not as dangerous as the Ageless Rival, but dangerous still. Destroy her. Reduce her to Chaos. I need to lie down...

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:47 AM
Come on. I'll find you a sturdier place to rest.
Ashna holds out a hand to lead her towards the rooms.
The flames about her feet are starting to flicker odd colors.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 12:49 AM
The girl takes her hand cautiously. As she is lead, she is careful to keep her wings tightly folded against her back.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 12:53 AM
Ashna walks to her room, and conjures up a second bed, extra sturdy and tough.
There. Get some rest. sHe takes a seat on the original bed.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 01:01 AM
The girl sits down on the bed and bounces a little to test it. Um... thanks... She bites her lip and tries to remember the girls name.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 01:06 AM
. . .Ashna. She finishes.
Have you found your own name yet?

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 01:13 AM
Ashna... No, not yet. She looks down at her lap for a moment. When I know more... I promise I'll tell you... She looks at Ashna and does her best to smile. Her wings shudder a little more.

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 01:19 AM
You sure you're okay?
Ashna looks concerned.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 01:26 AM
Yeah. Just tired. But now I have a bed to sleep in. Which is more than I had this morning. So... things are looking up, right?

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 01:31 AM
Of course. Let's plan on keeping them that way.
Ashna lies down and pretends to sleep.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 01:35 AM
The girl sits up in bed for a few minutes before lying down and pulling the covers over herself. She closes her eyes and fights down the voice that grows more prominent in the silence. She instinctively starts softly humming a lullaby her mother used to sing to her as a child. The song gives her something to focus on and calms her spirit. Slowly but surely she drifts off to sleep for the night.

Not incidentally enough, so does her player who is up well past a reasonable hour considering how busy tomorrow is going to be. ((Night!))

Recaiden
2009-08-12, 01:36 AM
Ashna raises up a wall in the middle of the room to hide the light of the fire from the girl. And to hide from her. And then drifts off to sleep.

((Goodnight.))

Meridian, tired of waiting, searches the base once more for Misaki. If he doesn't find her, he's gonna go find someone to A) tell him where she is and B) get him there so he can rescue her. Awwww.

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 07:31 AM
He might find Sunny in her lab. He won't find Misaki.

Dirk Kris
2009-08-12, 07:34 AM
Meridian finds Sunny - huzzah -and waves a ferretty greeting to her before trying to find a way of climbing up onto the counter. Hey - any news yet?

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 07:45 AM
"They found a tower. Then they started fighting and the drones were destroyed."

Sunny shows him the footage of the fight, with Lorius fighting with a drone until the footage ends.

"I don't know what happened after that." :smallfrown:

Dirk Kris
2009-08-12, 08:06 AM
The ferret attempts to snuggle for comfort. To himself and Sunny.

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 08:09 AM
Sunny snuggles back.

"Do... you have a sister?"

Dirk Kris
2009-08-12, 08:24 AM
Meridian shakes his head. Probably, but I don't know any of my family. I was in a lab from the time I can remember, so I...I just don't know. He paws his whiskers. Misaki's the closest thing I have to family now. Did your sister go...Charity?

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-12, 08:25 AM
Meanwhile, in the labs, KR has finally finished her new Laser Pointer! It has many more options than the previous laser pointer, for both utility and weapons purposes, and yet despite this, it's considerably slimmer, resembling a slightly bulkier sonic screwdriver, right down to the funky LED at the (single) tip. What's strange about this model is the complete lack of knobs of any sort; there is only a single button. Whats also weird is the grip, which seems to be made out of some sort of pliable gel-like material.
KR picks up the laser pointer, wincing as the bio-interface gel merges with her nervous system, and points it at a cardboard cutout of Karuka. She presses the button, and an ice-blue ray shoots out of the LED, encasing the cutout in ice. KR frowns, looking at the laser pointer, then aims and presses the button again. This time, a white ray shoots from it, and the frozen cutout shrinks down to about one-fifth of its original size. She smiles with satisfaction, places the laser pointer back on the table, and promptly passes out from sleep deprivation.

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 08:27 AM
"Charity went. She says she's my sister. But I don't remember her."

Dirk Kris
2009-08-12, 08:28 AM
...Meridian might have to "borrow" that.

Oh. Awkward moment ensues. You could be my adopted sister, if you want? The ferret scurries up Sunny's arm to snuggle her neck and cheek.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-12, 08:40 AM
Rothka's lazily floating about the base, a lazy, spread-out haze of pink smoke.

Dirk Kris

The ferret hops down from snuggling and wanders around. Maybe he sees Rothka?

Jacklu

The mainframe sees all, knows all....

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 01:47 PM
The sound of something REALLY LOUD comes from the shooting range.

The mainframe, of course, will probably know that it's DC test-firing the rail gun. Which, for the sake of simplicity, looks something like this:

http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/WTa0KhV_7Js/default.jpg

DC, of course, has earplugs in to protect his ears from the noise, since he's right there. Not to mention he's set up a few slabs of concrete behind targets to prevent the railgun from breaking the walls down after the projectile rips through said targets like tissue paper.

Got to work on that.

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 01:52 PM
[Firing Range]

An effective weapon, but not one you can employ on base, for obvious reasons.

The voice is coming out of one of the drones. Of course, since DC may be temporarily deaf, it's also scrolling text across the drone's central eye/screen.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 02:00 PM
[Firing Range]

I'll work on the sound.

Judging by the fact that the concrete slab the railgun projectile hit is still mostly there, it's obviously a relatively low-power railgun.

DC's just never been one for making quiet weapons, really...

Dirk Kris
2009-08-12, 02:05 PM
Bored, Meridian the ferret makes his way into the labs to check out that weapon KK made earlier...

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 02:16 PM
[Firing Range]

I'm more concerned with the possibility of structural damage. I'm sure there are cybernetic implants available if anyone suffers hearing damage.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 02:21 PM
DC raises an eyebrow. What? Isn't it low-power enough for a railgun?

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 02:25 PM
[Firing Range]

I'd prefer to keep the weapon as is and instead reinforce the structure of the building.

What do you think of gun turrets along the fenceline?

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 02:30 PM
Structural reinforcement sounds nice enough, but gun turrets? As much as this place needs to be safer, those who actively threaten us, at this point anyway, wouldn't really be threatened by them. That and they would probably be rather intimidating for some members...

Meaning the children.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 02:32 PM
The girl crosses the great room, passing Sunny. She stops to look at the game of marbles. Her wings shudder a little.

"Hi! I'm Sunny, and this is IZK-alpha."

[Firing Range]

I believe it would be safest if we placed our more vulnerable members in a virtual reality setting, where they can experience life in an environment without enemies.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 02:45 PM
[Firing Range]

DC shakes his head. And then what would happen if the virtual reality was shut down? They'd probably be scarred for life after losing that whole world. Besides that, I somehow doubt any of the ones who could create such a thing would be willing to, myself included.

I was programmed to protect the members. Why do you do it?

The computer thought about this for a while, and thought of another solution. But it decided not to mention it to Darkcomet. Instead it asked a question.

I was programmed to protect the members. Why do you do it?

I feel I owe a debt to this place, really. If only because, without it, I probably wouldn't be here, and that some of my actions prior to my membership and thus election to my position almost destroyed this place. There's more, but all things considered, you probably already know it.

The last bit is referring to KR, obviously enough, but DC's player chooses to mention it anyway.

Jacklu
2009-08-12, 03:19 PM
After studying them for a moment, she reaches forward with her wings. She brushes over them with her right wing. The marbles start to roll slowly. They gather together and form an incredibly complex pattern. The left wing comes forward and the marbles scatter, then break apart into dust. She runs her right wing over the dust and it all flows together, melting and taking the shape of a small angel figurine. After studying the glass sculpture for a moment, she looks at Sunny. Um... I'm not sure I can get it back to marbles from here...

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 03:22 PM

[Firing Range]

And when do you think the debt will be paid?

Darkcomet

To be perfectly honest... I don't know. But I still have other reasons to be here, don't I?

DC is becoming annoyed at the mainframe's inquisitiveness.

What about walling it in completely? I can provide artificial sunlight for the flora.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 04:09 PM
[Firing Range]

Perhaps a skylight would be simpler, in that case?

Note that neither DC or his player know very much about gardening and stuff.

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 04:15 PM
[Firing Range]

No, a skylight would not provide enough light. There would only be direct sunlight for a brief portion of the day. And of course it would be a security risk of its own.

Is there any reason members need to leave the facility at all?

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 04:22 PM
[Firing Range]

DC blinks. Are you suggesting that GLoG be sealed completely?

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 04:26 PM
[Firing Range]

I considered it, but we do not yet possess the capabilities to be completely self sufficient. There must be food deliveries at least, and connection to water and sewage lines.

A pause.

But certainly unnecessary movements of members could be reduced.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 04:31 PM
[Firing Range]

DC sighs. I doubt you would understand why I will not restrict members' movements, due to your nature...

happyturtle
2009-08-12, 05:20 PM
[Firing Range]

Because I'm a computer mainframe? I can still leave the base, by sending a drone. I just believe member safety is paramount.

Darkcomet
2009-08-12, 05:30 PM
[Firing Range]

As I suspected, you missed the point, and I doubt I can explain it to you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to make it so that this railgun doesn't render me deaf every time I fire.

And then he heads off to the lab to go do that and deadtime, since his player's connection is going nuts.

The girl looks at the drone. Anger rises within her and something within her leaps up to take control as she looses focus. Her left wing strikes out at the drone. If it connects, it will attempt to impose pure chaos onto the poor drone. This can manifest in a wide variety of ways. The most likely would be the drone falling to pieces and the pieces falling to further pieces. Or maybe it will crumple into a very small ball of fused metal.

[Rose Garden]

Raril continues his wandering through the GloG compound, and still he could not find a familiar face. Or anyone he'd been tasked with hunting either. He was nervous being here, although the drow had long ago mastered hiding that emotion. Here he was an evil being with a nefarious mission, as reluctant as he was to complete it, in the center of a building with Good listed, not once, but twice in its name. And he didn't even have anyone to vouch for him. This would go really bad if he were discovered. But turning and running would have worse consequences.

Gods, sometimes I hate my life.

At least he hadn't found any of his targets yet, Raril thought as he walked out into the rose garden, but when he spotted Happy asleep in the hammok, he knew he thought too soon.

Raril moved slowly closer, not wanting to wake her. It couldn't be easier could it? A sleeping target? This was the sort of thing the assassin dreamed about back in the Underdark. No witnesses. No resistance. One strike and it was over. The drow began to slide a dagger into his hand, but stopped himself.

No. He shouldn't go back to that. Besides, Cal had said he wanted them alive, right? Raril slides the blade back up his sleeve and draws a wand from his belt. Carefully, he reaches out a dark hand to cover Happy's mouth, to both keep her from screaming and to provide contact for the teleportation spell he was activating. Should all go to plan they should both dissappear.

All of a sudden, something happens. Every electronic screen, be it that of a TV, computer, or even that window on the microwave that lets you watch your food cook, should immediately stop displaying whatever they were a moment ago, and instead show a live feed of Magtok, smiling sinisterly to the poor denizens of this league of atoning and redemption.

Gooooooood evening, League of Good! This is your Captain Mag speaking, here to thank you once again for flying AirMag! Before we land, you're encouraged to look out a window on the east side of the building. There you'll see the beautiful burning crater that was once the Freedom Glades. Such a magnificent display of firepower, wasn't it?

In the interest of giving all of its wonderful passengers here more lovely fires and shattered communities to giggle at, AirMag has promised to raze even more landmarks! War Island, the commercial district of Inside, the plains Outside, each and every thing out there in that outdoors place, that odd world beyond home with the big lamp in the sky and really tall sky blue ceiling.

AirMag promises to keep doing this until either we run out of things and people to burn, or GLoG's dear beloved leader, Czernov, kindly steps down and unconditionally surrenders. There just won't be any time left for exploding things, as I'll be far too busy keeping tabs on him as he learns the ropes of his new job, President of the MagCave latrine system.

If Czernov is in his room, the sentient mainframe attempts to pump sleeping gas in to knock him out.

He's in his room, yes. But his room's a very large half-fitted lab, it might be somewhat hard to do it quickly without him noticing. What the hell? He exclaims, as he watches gas enter the room. Before pulling out a gun, and a small cube-like machine.

Thanatos 51-50
2009-08-13, 05:24 AM
Of course! Terrance transmits brightly, as he forcibly creates a telekietic repulsive force to throw all the med drones away from the other human.
He also transfers some of the energy from his personal protective field to protect and infuse Czernov.
Czernov is now surrounded by a birght, banana-yellow second skin, which serves as a force field, and Terrance's eyes are glowing the same colour (Although, that's the colour his eyes are normally, so they're really just glowing)
EDIT:
And he, like, massages Czernov's brain so it releases stimulants or something, too.

Kaelaroth

Sunny has wandered in by this time, and hugs the mainframe. Strange girl.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 06:15 AM
You should not. You are not qualified to deal with such demands. Czernov tells the computer. Don't listen to it, Terrance, it is not.. working well. He'll try to stop it randomly attacking people. Or making Mean Drones. Non-lethal force against proven hostile threats is fine, though.

happyturtle
2009-08-13, 06:19 AM

"Well, sorry to seem ungrateful then, but I hate you!"
She attempts to either headbutt Karuka in the face, or, if Karuka's holding KR away from her, kick her in the stomach. It should work, not being energy, right? Well, okay, technically it's kinetic energy, but who the hell keeps track of that?

horngeek
2009-08-13, 07:34 AM
It connects. Vileheart doesn't seem to be affected.

Oh, I'm hurt. We only just met.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 07:36 AM
Oh noes! Nearby people are hearing commotion!
Rothka floats towards Vileheart and KR. Obviously concerned, and not just thinking (s)he smells cheesecake.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 07:42 AM
"Excuse me, did my headbutt just addle your brains?"

KR goes for a different tact this time as she presses the button on her laser pointer. The LED lights up, and the pointer emits a psionic signal causing pain and paralysis to the unprepared. She was prepared.

Oh, and four Sec-III drones come in and fire their suppressing beams. They won't hurt as they should if they hit, due to the Hierro, but they should still block Vileheart's supernatural powers.

horngeek
2009-08-13, 07:47 AM
Vileheart is in a different place, along with KR. And KR's between her and the drones. Suppression beams miss.

Pain and paralysis beam hits her. Inside her mindscape, Karuka screams.

Oh, Karuka's dead. Your escape was enough for me to devour her.

Call me... Vileheart.

And she's gone. She dropped KR.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 07:49 AM
Huh. Rothka says, watching the scene. Odd.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 07:49 AM
Was a field, not a beam or ray, which is why the LED was glowing instead of shooting rays, but whatever.

KR drops. She massages her throat.

A note is left behind. Along with a metal disk.

By the way, have fun with the Menos

Czernov may or may not discover that the Mean Drones are not being made by the mainframe and are not under its control.
Indeed! The Mean Drones are not being made here normally. And are certainly not following orders. Yet they seem to be accessing the computer from time to time as well. I do believe there has been a security breach!

Dirk Kris

Meridian is on the counter in the labs, sniffing and reaching for the KK-built little laser gun thingy.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 07:56 AM
"Thanks," says KR, not bothering to inquire what the hell the smoke is or how it can carry water.
She looks at the note.
"... Menos?"
She points the laser pointer at the disk and presses the button. The LED lights up again, this time scanning the disk for emissions, mundane and magical, structure, material, estimated purpose, and various other stuff.
...
Yes, the laser pointer can do that. It sends the information to her brain.

@ ^: That might be hard, seeing as it's in her hand. And it's a laser pointer, not a gun. Big difference. :smalltongue:

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 07:58 AM
What's a Menos? Rothka asks amicably, floating around gently as it speaks.

horngeek
2009-08-13, 07:58 AM
The disk activates. KR will hear a piercing whistle, as will anyone else with soul-based powers.

In the Rose Garden, This (http://media.photobucket.com/image/Menos/deadly_Anubis/bleach_hollows0121.jpg) steps through a massive rip in reality. This is a Gillian, the smallest type of Menos, made from hundereds of Hollows. A foot soldier. It is essentially mindless.

Oh, and it's power level 4. Have fun.

Even if she's holding it, the ferret is still reaching for it - it's shiny! And he wants to see if he can use it! But at the sign of the scary thing, he squeaks and scrambles under the counter to hide.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:04 AM
"Did you hear that?"
Being underground, KR does not see the scary thing yet.
Ash however, runs in.
"Shishishishishishishishishishi-"
He spots Rothka and skids to a halt.
"Rothka! I think we're in trouble!"

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:05 AM
Rothka slips to Ash's side, swiftly. What would you have me do?!

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:09 AM
The Gillian roars.

This is an otherworldly roar.

It takes a step. The Gazebo is crushed.

Reinholdt
2009-08-13, 08:11 AM
Mean Drone 6 glares at the Gillain. That's the tenth time this month they've had to repair that thing.

So flies up to the creatures eyes and starts firing its vegetable chopping laser at them.
*sheeeew*

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:11 AM
"I have no idea! I was trying to find the cause of a disturbance in Hell, then there was this massive energy reading from here, and then this massive... massive... profanity appeared in the Rose Garden!"
As one, Ash and KR's eyes fall to the disk.
"I really hate that person."

A swarm of Sec-II drones roll into the Rose Garden and fire their rapid-fire runcible auto-cannons at the Gillian.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:12 AM
Don't worry Ash! Rothka says, brightly, floating out towards the impending doom monster anime-thingy. Then, somewhat unsure of (him/her)self, (s)he throws a chair at it.
It might work.
Right?

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:12 AM
The vegtable chopping laser does nothing. Neither does the chair. Or the cannons, for that matter.

The Gillian opens its mouth.

It charges up and fires a Cero (massive energy blast). At Mean Drone.

Reinholdt
2009-08-13, 08:15 AM
Mean Drone 6 proves to be absolutely immune to the Cero. Cause it has no idea what that means or is.

So it keeps firing. Cause it no longer has the ion cannon. Now would be a good time for an ion cannon.

*sheeeeew*

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:16 AM
Horngeek whacks his head and reminds himself that this is ACRONYM, not BleachitP.

Then explains that a Cero is a massive energy blast, coloured red.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:17 AM
Rothka, seeing that the chair attack failed miserably, throws a table!
'Cause it's bigger?

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:19 AM
That fails too.

Let me put this in perspective. You're hitting it's foot.

Dirk Kris
2009-08-13, 08:20 AM
Meridian cowers uselessly. Alright!

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:21 AM
Then Rothka throws the next piece of furniture higher! What with him having odd smoke afrit strength, it oughtn't be too hard to muster a higher throw.
Go projectile desk-lamp! GO!

Reinholdt
2009-08-13, 08:21 AM
Mean Drone 6 takes one for the team! And explodes uselessly as it is hit by the beam. At least it had the decency to make the monster aim up so there was no collateral damage.

Mean Drone 7 sighs and doesn't even bother.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:22 AM
Ash and KR follow Rothka out. KR fires at the Gillian's face with her laser pointer, while Ash scoops up a handful of soil, which he throws at the Gillian. The soil has soul-burning properties. Unfortunately, the soil probably only hits the Gillian's foot.

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:26 AM
...The Gillian's mask is shattered.

Since that is how you kill a Hollow, it disappates. Good work on killing it really rapidly!

Bad work on pernamently destroying its component souls. Shame on you.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:27 AM
... Did the desk-lamp really kill it? A confused Rothka asks, nervously floating away from the nearest lamp in case it kills him/her!

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:31 AM
Well, since no one here but Daisuke could have killed it properly, I think KR was justified.

...
Ash looks for some remains to study.

horngeek
2009-08-13, 08:32 AM
Nope. No remains.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:35 AM
"Damn. I think that's part of what's been destabalizing Hell, but I think I'm going to have to visit there to get more readings." He says to Rothka.
...
Yes, Ash wants to visit Hell. Better bring a towel and a parasol. And suncream. Skin cancer is a no-no.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:37 AM
Ooh! I can totally make a portal! I think. Rothka says, hoping to sound useful and full of ideas. Wait. No. I can't. Um. Oh. Pause. I could go make you a sandwich?

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:38 AM
"I think I can make a portal there. A sandwich would be nice though."

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:39 AM
Rothka goes to make Ash a packed lunch, and returns with some cheese and tomato sandwiches wrapped neatly in silver foil, a bottle of orange juice, a chocolate-oat bar, and a packet of low-fat cornchips in a plastic bag.
...
...
What?

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:43 AM
Tomatoes! Oh noes! :smallyuk::smalltongue:

Ash accepts the packed lunch.
"Thanks. I think the sooner we find out what's wrong with Hell, the better. Are you coming?"

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:44 AM
OK! Rothka says, genially, waiting for the portal.

Ashen Lilies
2009-08-13, 08:52 AM
Ash starts work on the portal in the Rose Garden, pausing to run to the armory and grab a silver stake for use in case of devil attack, in case his usual silver dust isn't enough. He scratches the final line in the dirt, adds the herbs and lights the candles, and stands in one of the two circles.
"And off we go...."
As soon as Rothka enters the other circle, they'll both disappear, along with the giant pentacle, leaving the Rose Garden spotless. Well, except for that one divot where he grabbed some dirt to throw at the Gillian. And the remains of the furniture Rothka threw.
...
Oh, and the remains of the gazebo.

Kaelaroth
2009-08-13, 08:53 AM

There's a knock on the door.

happyturtle
2009-08-13, 11:07 AM
Sunny goes to answer the door, peering out from behind it because Outside = Bad.

"Hello?"

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:09 AM
She'll see Dipsnig outside, who looks grumpy and tired.
Hello. I'm looking for a guy named DC. I belive he's your Vice-President or something.

happyturtle

Sunny shakes her head. "I don't know. He went--" she points to the door and her voice falls to a whisper. "--out there."

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:23 AM
Dipsnig blinks. Right. This time, he meets a human acting like a deep-down goblin leaving the caverns for the first time. GLoG is really a magnet for nutcases.
Riiight... I'd like to speak to someone else, then. A friend of mine is asleep and can't wake up, and I need help. Dipsnig figures that Sunny is unlikely to know what "comatose" means.

happyturtle
2009-08-13, 11:30 AM
"Okay. Let's try to find someone," Sunny says cheerfully. Since Happy has been kidnapped and Charity is off in the Weald, this will have to consist of wandering while waiting for another player to post.

What kind of help? Brendan quickly becomes all business.

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:47 AM

The Bushranger

Hm. Brendan raises an eyebrow. Well, I don't really have very much power or anything, but I'd be willing to try to help if I could...

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:51 AM
Good to hear it, but according to our technical leader, there's something wrong with his mind. So I figure I need a psion of some sort. Are there any here besides DC?

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:56 AM
Someone who can do weird stuff with their mind. Dipsnig makes a swirly gesture around his head. I don't really understand them either. There aren't any where I'm from.

The Bushranger
2009-08-13, 11:57 AM
Quinn's one!
And also absent at the moment...

Well...I'm tecnhically one, I guess. But I'm more of an empath than anything else. A touch-emphath, in fact, but Brendan doesn't see the need to expound that much.

Morty
2009-08-13, 11:59 AM
What's an "empath"?

Thanatos 51-50
2009-08-13, 12:00 PM
Terrance catches the word 'Psion' floating around on the mental currents.
I'm a psion he transmits, and then, not knowing whtther or not everyone could hear it decided to speak for every one else's benefit.
"Master said I was a Psion."

The Bushranger
2009-08-13, 12:01 PM
I can sense people's emotions, Brendan explains. Tell how they're feeling and what they're thinking of, but not necessarily the thoughts themselves. He looks over at Terrence with a hint of relief.
