Chain Jaunt
Conjuration (Teleportation)
Level: Sor/Wiz 5
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 60ft+10ft per level
Target: Self only
Duration: 10 Rounds+1/2 levels
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

Chain Jaunt gives the caster the ability to teleport at will to any point within his line of sight and within range as a move action for the stated duration. The target square may not be occupied unless you can fit in the square with whatever is occupying it. You need a free hand to make a small gesture for the teleportation.

Greater Chain Jaunt
Conjuration (Teleportation)
Level: Sor/Wiz 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 60ft+10ft per level
Target: Self only
Duration: 10 minutes+1/2 levels
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
As Chain Jaunt except as indicated here.

Since teleporting around to move is very much cool. More portaly stuff to follow. I have an idea for at least two portaly PRC:s

Portal Blade
Portal blades are the warrior of travelling. They have mastered the arts of portal and blade and intervine in them in way few opponents expect and fewer still survive. Portal Blades are not very common and humans elves and half-elves are the most common portal blades

Prequisites
Spells: Ability to cast Dimension door
BAB: +5
Feats: Combat Casting
Skills: Concentration 10 ranks, Spellcraft 8 ranks
Proficiencies: Proficiency with all martial weapons.

HD: d8

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: You gain no addition Weapon and Armor Proficiencies.

Portal Slash
You bring your weapon to bear through a portal
You may cast dimension door and strike through it with the same standard action. The other end of the portal must be within reach of the creature to succeed. Quickening a dimension door does not make the attack a swift action

Portal Flurry
You may bring into being portals for your weapon fast enough to to attack multiple times and different targets
You may expend one casting of Dimension door as a full round action to strike into any point within the reach of your dimension door in equal times to your amount of attacks in a full attack. You may also direct these attacks at different targets.

Immediate Portal
Creating portals is in your blood. You are much faster with it
You may cast Dimension door as an immediate action. Times per day in table. This still uses a casting of dimension door.

Teleportation
You instinctively learn new portals
At fourth level you have Teleport and Chain Jaunt Added To your spell list
At eight level you have Greater Teleport and Greater Chain Jaunt Added to your spell list.

Infinite Portal
You no longer take any effort with these simpler portals
You may cast Dimension Door at Will. These uses also work for Immediate Portal

U-Portal
You have mastered a very tricky use of the portal
You may use U-Portal to redirect any attack as an immediate action using the immediate portal ability to put a portal in the way of the attack. The enemy must make a reflex save (DC=10+Class Level+primary casting stat) or have the attack redit´rected at them and they must make a new attack roll against their own AC. Also works against single target spells that have attack rolls.

Quickened Portal
All portals are cast with a moments notice by you.
You may quicken any of these spells at no cost unlimited times per day. Dimension Door, Teleport, Chain Jaunt, Greater Teleport, Greater Chain Jaunt

Why use non-standard ranges/durations?

Just use;

Range: Medium
Target: Personal
Duration: 1 round/level

Mostly because I wan't a good basic starting duration, but not too rapid scaling. I have my reasons for those.

I think I actually like the ranges.

Note that (stealing a trick from a character I heard about with a sword that granted at-will Dimension Door) by combining this with a Ring of Feather Falling and teleporting straight up, you can get some quite good travelling speed with these... hardly overpowering since you could teleport half to all of the party with the same spell slot, but worth keeping in mind.

Also, I think you MAY have made my Society Member's (see my extended signature for the full name of the PrC) cry.

I don't quite get it. What exactly is in here that makes the Society Memer cry?

Because if you combine this with Blink, Greater I beleive it renders their mounts pointless... well except that the mounts can do it all day long...

Although, on second look, that doesn't apply since they can make a full attack after their mount D-Doors them.

Forgot about this for a long time, but now I have a PRC up.

Now you're thinking with Portals.

Chain Jaunt, (Greater): Awesome as a way to move around the battlefield. Broken as a means of repeated cheap escape from Squiddly Mc Grapples-a-lot or other such effects... while still letting you cast another spell in the same round. Require a free hand to gesture the teleportation and the problem disappears.

Portal Blade: As above, teleporting without a standard action and acting afterwards to boot can become uber very fast. Martial classes can also make extra offensive use of it with full attacks (though whether that part is OP depends on whether or not other PCs have pounce). Seems like you want to keep it, so find something else to nerf to balance out the special abilities. Maybe BAB, spellcasting, etc. As it is you'd have to remove all or nearly all the special abilities just to make it on par with a regular PrC.

Not really. There is that little bit about having +4 BAB before entering it. Also, where as EK is the standard, it is by no means what you want to fill your Gish levels. I mean, Knight Phantom (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20050706a&page=4) already has actual class abilities and a better HD, it's just that the entry requirements are a little more stringent than EK.

At least here, the dead feat you have to drop also qualifies you for the wonder that is Abjurant Champion.

EK's suck anyways and by the time you have chain jaunts you can also have freedom of movement rings thus the means of escaping said squiddlymcgrapple are already there and this is not really bringing anything new to the table in that department. I think I'll up the BAB requirement though to make this require actual melee class levels. Since the Portal Blade and Portal Flurry abilities aren't useable on a charge and you can't use leap attack or such. It's mostly actually effective ranged attacking.
The potentially overpowered abilities of U-Portal and Immediate Portal are strictly limited and from the same pool of daily uses no less. I'm not sure though if I should drop a use on Immediate Portal.

I forgot to give a HD. It'll be d8
