Okay, so don't do One Winged Angel. I too don't know why all the FFVII fanbois go nuts over it. But you have to admit, Final Fantasy DOES have music specifically made for battles. Just use a different song. Off of FFVII, I like J-E-N-O-V-A for boss themes. But really, any battle music from that soundtrack is decent.

They only think they sing about vikings. Listen to Tyr. Viking metal isn't viking metal unless you sing it in Nordic.

Also, try surfing through OCRemix (http://www.ocremix.org/), they have a huge selection of heavily remixed video game music from old and new games alike, and there's a lot of it made of awesome.
