How many can you recognise? Right now, I'm on to about ten, but that's just a quick run through. I'm sure, with due time and inspection, I could find some more :smalltongue:

Lord Herman

I've found twenty-seven:

Vladimir Lenin
Bill Clinton
Winston Churchill
Napoleon Bonaparte
Che Guevara

Fidel Castro
Marlon Brando
Yasser Arafat
Osama Bin Laden
Niccolo Machiavelli

Adolf Hitler
Charles de Gaulle
Franklin Roosevelt
Elvis Presley
William Shakespeare

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Marilyn Monroe
Ludwig von Beethoven
Saddam Hussein
Joseph Stalin

Karl Marx
Abraham Lincoln
Mao Tse Tung
Charlie Chaplin
Albert Einstein

Mohandas Gandhi
Vincent van Gogh

Adding on to Lord Herman:

Bruce Lee
Genghis Khan
Shirley Temple
Noah
Confucius
Alfred Hitchcock
Qin Shi Huang
Catherine the Great (I think)
Guan Yu

I think that makes it 36...
Then there's a few that I recognize, but can't put a name to. The Korean Basketball player, the Roman in red, and the Chinese (general?) in the bottom-left.

Lord Herman

I think

Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo

are in there too, but I'm not sure it's them. That'd make 2 more.

Is the dude in green just below Lenin Ghengis Khan? I'm not sure.

Also:

Vladimir Putin, Front row, center

I also realized I'm bad at recognizing important asian personalities.

I see Mother Teresa and Pele.

And I think it's Mike Tyson sittingin the front.

No, that's Guan Yu. Chinese general who (allegedly) invented the weapon he's holding. I think the dude on the horse next to Napoleon is Ghengis, but he might also be no one at all. >.>

Reasonably certain that the guy below the trumpet player is Pushkin. I don't see Catherine the Great (whom someone mentioned) but I think there's Bill Gates in there somewhere. The guy directly under Lenin's hand has the tell-tale Revolution-era hat, but I can't for the life of me tell who it is.

I've got a few more to add:
Audrey Hepburn
Julius Caesar
Pavarotti
Prince Charles
Maggie Thatcher
George W Bush
Socrates (could be Archimedes?)
Queen Elizabeth II (could be being confused with Catherine the Great?)and that's definitely Tyson

And there're a whole load more that I just can't quite get. :smalltongue:

I think the old guy in green, in the right corner, third/fourth row, right next to the wall is Otto von Bismark.

Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, Bill Clinton (no comparison).

Chalie Chaplin. I think thats Mousilinni next to Hitler. And Vladimir Putin next to Tyson?

Is that Saddam Hussin next to Mousilinni and Hitler??? :)

The soccer player in the yellow shirt in the top left must be Pelé.

Okay, so anybody have an idea, why I was able to look at it for some time (copied link from QUOTE) just to be able to find Tyson, Teresa and Pele, but now I see

Looks good. However, Greta Garbo should be Audrey Hepburn.
And Rutherford is actually Nietzsche.

Pretty sure your "Darwin?" is Karl Marx. >.>

I'm inclined to believe it's Darwin indeed. Darwin and Nietzsche conversing would make sense.

Semi-obscure one: Bogart is actually Robert Oppenheimer, director of the Manhattan Project.

I can't see the original post, but I can see Miklus' version, so I'm going from that. Here are a quite a lot of guesses with a few certainties thrown in:

Top left-hand corner - the guitarist in the red star t-shirt is possibly Cui Jian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cui_Jian) (father of Chinese rock).
As Kid Kris pointed out, the guy under Lenin is Guan Gong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guan_Yu) (aka Guan Yu, aka Guan Di), who manages to be both a historical figure and a god at the same time.
Others have noted that the lady leaning on the piano is Audrey Hepburn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audrey_Hepburn), not Greta Garbo.
The young chap in the PLA uniform and red cap sitting under Beethoven looks a lot like Lei Feng (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lei_Feng) (plenty have argued that his life was more fiction than history, but he certainly did exist).
Underneath De Gaulle and Thatcher, the gentleman in the brown waistcoat is Sun Yat-sen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Yat_Sen) (aka Sun Zhongshan) - founder of the Chinese republic.
Under Sun Yat-sen, the plump gentleman in the short-sleeved white shirt is Deng Xiaoping (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deng_Xiaoping).
I agree with those who think the balding chap holding a green book is Shakespeare, whoever identified the little girl as Shirley Temple, and the idea that the man on the horse near the eagles is probably Genghis Khan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genghis_Khan) (though it's hard to tell since nobody really knows what he looked like).
The gentleman leaning back in his chair at the bottom of the table is almost certainly Li Bai (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Bai) - the most famous Chinese poet - though again there are no extant portraits of him, so any picture has to be a guess. (Like a good proportion of the figures here.)
The gentleman next to him with the sheep looks like it's meant to be Moses (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses), which would make the couple at the end of the long line of children of Israel passing the pyramids Miriam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miriam) and Aaron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron).
Again, Kid Kris is right: the man between Moses and Ghandi is Confucious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confucious), so that means the guy with the long white beard labled 'Confucious' is probably Lao-Tzu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laozi) (aka Laozi).
The grumpy old man in the red cap standing under the camel's neck could be Rembrandt (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rembrandt), maybe?
Under George W Bush we can see Dowager Empress Cixi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Dowager_Cixi), and next to her in a white coat and natty moustache is Salvador Dalí (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Dali).
The tall chap in the red shirt is obviously Yao Ming (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yao_Ming).

I'm pretty sure it's Oppenheimer all right. (http://michaelgr.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/robert-oppenheimer-life-portrait.jpg?w=450&h=576)
