View Full Version : Thinking of purchasing a Drawing Tablet. Suggestions?

Just what it says in the title. I'm looking for something of a decent quality, preferably not to expensive. A larger drawing area is a definite plus...I don't think I could work in a space as small as 6x4. Any ideas what brand/model can deliver?
Wacom is the best brand that I have heard of and was what a great many professionals used at least a few years back. My son has a small Bamboo tablet by them and despite being really inexpensive it works very well. A bigger one would be nice though.

As Trog said, Wacom is the brand name that gets bandied about most. You might want to ask this question somewhere more specifically arty than GITP, DevArt or the like...

I have a Wacom Intuos 4. I love it.
Now, it is on the pricey side, but I got mine through my school, so the cost just gets added to my tuition, which I have loans for.
If you're in school, see if they'll add the cost of one onto your tuition.
And the Bamboo ones work great, too. They tend to be on the small side, though.
