What is this? What does it do? Where is it?

PHB2 ACF for sorcerer. Lets them do metamagics without the full round casting. Costs a familiar I believe.

No, the PHB2 ACF is Metamagic Specialist, and it only works INT times per day. Rapid Metamagic is a CArc (or CM, can't remember) feat that lets you use Metamagic without increasing the casting time as much as you like.

INT or CHA? If it is int that is stupid. Well more stupid than sorcerers needing full round metamagics anyway.

Excellent. That is going into my mental repertoire of things to throw at other people while laughing maniacally. Thank you both.

The ACF is indeed INT based.

THe Feat has a prereq of 12 spellcraft

INT but I believe it is actually 3 + INT mod times per day.

Rapid Metamagic is in Complete Mage and is generally superior to the Metamagic Specialist variant. The only drawback is that you cannot gain Rapid Metamagic until 9th level, though metamagic is a mid/late game technique anyway. This does screw over builds that want to abuse Arcane Thesis and become a one trick pony, like say with a magic missile build.

And said screwing over is a bad thing?
