This is the second page, but there is more on the first.

I.E. The Pistol Shrimp. Prepare to have your level 34 Epic Adventurer OWNED.

I challenge someone to create these creatures.

I want to see an adventuring party run into a Dressed in Drag Crab..

http://www.cracked.com/article/143_8-ingenious-ways-animals-outsmart-predators/

There is a round boulder like object that appears like that of a large coconut rolling down the side of the coral reef. The reef itself is somewhat smashed by this sudden intrusion, you look up the coral reef to see what could have tossed such a large object. Only to have the object itself open to reveal inside of it a most menacing, beautiful, and down right amazing sight. A large octopus seems to have dropped on by to give a little undersea welcome to the party.

Roll Initiative...

A properly constructed gargantuan hagfish could be pretty disturbing - turns the surrounding area of water into solid mucus that traps anything in it, and then waits for its prey to suffocate and rot.

Yep, that's right - your fighter just choked to death on fish mucus. Sorry about that.

Someone needs to make a monstrous version of the already monstrous Japanese Giant Hornet. Because nature is ****ing hardcore. (http://www.cracked.com/article_15816_5-most-horrifying-bugs-in-world.html)

I'm working on it in Pirates versus Ninjas, but you guys usually assume d20 only.

Actually, no I wasn't, but I may do that now, and I'll probably do at least a couple of these because they're awesome.

My google fu is still strong! Pistol Shrimp was done at EnWorld a few years ago: http://www.enworld.org/forum/homebrews/179818-giant-shrimp.html.

EnWorld is an awesome site. A ton of WotC's old monsters (dating from the earliest days of TSR) have been converted there.

Holy crap, those things are ferocious. Most of those insects could be used as save or die traps:smalleek:

I did a Dire version of the Vampire Squid in the one article in my critter thread here. Some of these look too good not to do though... :xykon:

Mwauaauhuauhaua. I'll most definitely be using some of these creatures that a previous poster labled. Save or Die.

Don't you all fear nature now, I do even more so.

Oh, do you know about natures natural poison grenade tree??

Sandbox Tree.

I am a level 1 Commoner, and I fear nature. <---- For Justifiable Reasons.

But does your Shrimp have anything on the "FLYING SNAKE"

....OKAY, but seriously. It glides.

If I were a powerful mage, I would create a hybrid pistol shrimp/gliding snake. The perfect animal assassin (or better yet, familiar!).

That brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "Say hello to my little friend." You thought it meant that it was a gun. No, it's a flying animal with guns for claws.
