View Full Version : East Coast (of the US) In The Playground?

Hey, so. I now know of at least four people including myself (well, one's a former playgrounder, anyway) who live in Virginia. Who else is here on the East Coast?

(Apologies if this thread has already existed, my search-fu turned up nothing, but I have only a single rank in it.)

Does it touch the oceans to the eastern part of the US?

It touches Lake Michigan a bit, which touches Lake Eerie which has a canal through New York. (I could be wrong, this is what I remember of it from my 9th grade history class 8 years ago)

Upstate SC. My state touches the ocean, even if I'm at the other end.

West Virginia here, and actually I'm planning an epic hitchhiking trip around the region for spring break.

Does that mean Scotland counts, since it touches the oceans to the east of the US? It's just that it's to the east of the oceans to the eat of the US.

It's funny, after reading this and seeing your avatar, I believe every post you do should have an implied "ha cha cha cha cha" behind it.

Upstate NY (Saratoga Springs)

Lot of us around here. And yet, so little geeky stuff to do.

So hey, everyone else in Upstate NY - go to Noncon at Vassar. It's the only con I've been able to find around here, and it's tiny, but it's fun. (Just don't touch the trees there. Seriously.)

If there turns out to be a bunch of us, we should do some sort of fancy meetup.

...perhaps. :smallamused:

Actually, just cause we banter enough that it'd be amusing to meet in person. See if we banter as much then too. :smallwink:

(pssst... are we sure it's appropriated such a "small" area? aren't those "...in the playground" limited to continent?)
(PS: you don't mind if I ask to Roland, don't you?)

Sheriff pf Moddingham: Sorry folks, we stopped doing "[small geographic area] in the playground" threads some time ago. Stick to a continental scale.
