I has eye. Behold!

http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv279/soggyspaghetti/IMG_0594.jpg

Yes, grey-blue with a persistent amber fleck. I am quite fond of said fleck, it keeps my eyes from looking really pale and watery even when they decide to go grey.

Gorgeous... =3

Nice! It looks like you have very pretty eyes, and they match your shirt wonderfully. I, too, am a fan of hair. The more of it, the longer it is, the better. GIVE IN TO THE HAIR!

Mine is growing out quite nicely as well. It's grown 5 inches in the past 6 months, and is now collarbone-length. This makes me very happy.

^_^ Thanks. I want to get it at least shoulder length. Its taken since September to get this long. .-. I'm hoping it gets long enough that I can start doing stuff with it soon. It gets in my eyes, but isn't long enough to actually comb back or down to the sides yet. >.<

Two words:

Laryngeal prominence
(aka Adam's Apple)

Granted, not every human being follows the Adam's Apple rule, but the odds of someone being ambiguously gendered and an exception to the Adam's Apple rule are, well, exceptional.

Suffice it to say that an Adam's Apple, or lack thereof, has betrayed at least one person on these forums...

You may have male genitalia and not be male. Or have female genitalia and not be female. Considering there are a variety of disorders and genetic problems that can cause improper sexual development, that is a clue that you cannot really go on all the time.

Blood testing for sex hormones works, I suppose. AFAIK, from my nursing anatomy course, the os coxae (the hip bones) are the best way to determine sex; as my professor put it "put two together and see if a baby would fit through 'em".

There are many different ways to tell a person's gender, and they will sometimes give conflicting results. You either have to a) chose one, or b)say that there are many different dimensions to a person's gender. I guess transsexuality (for instance) could be seen as a mismatch between a person's mental and physical gender. If the relevant parts of the Y-chromosome are missing you can end up with a mismatch between a person's physical (and almost always mental) and chromosomal gender, etc. This is me thinking out loud here, so if the concepts are crude I beg your pardon.

http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/075/6/d/Dorodango_by_golentan.jpg

It took me about 5 hours. I'm very happy with it. This is my third attempt, first successful one, using the soil from around my home. It has sort of a matte black sheen (not so visible in the picture), and is close to properly spherical. It may be a little small, but I love it. Seriously, it's disturbing. I had a nervous, sick anticipation feeling in my stomach as I was waiting for the final dry (sort of like when I was a kid before my birthday), and I do remember Dorodango were used in a study of obsessive behavior in children's play.

I intend to spend tomorrow polishing it more. It's my precious. Yessss.... Precious...

Here. (http://www.dorodango.com/create.html)

It's very easy, it just takes patience. I think I tried going too big too fast on my first attempt, and I added too much water on the second. This one I just did a small handful, added a little dab of water at a time, and kept spinning it (I did most of the shaping by rolling it out one hand and into the other).

one thing I'm sorry for is that the shirt falls weirdly into the dress, because the corset is supposed to enhance breasts I don't have, and there are all this weird random ruffles.... uhm, anyway, onwards with the pics!

@Thufir: that's very nice of you to say, unusual as it may be... RL people always tell me my legs (and all my other limbs) are far too skinny...

@The Rose Dragon: yeah I noticed that too... it would seem that feminine clothing brings out as a reflex my more masculine traits, probably because the way female's clothes should enhance things I'm missing (like breasts and/or curveous legs or hips), while male's clothes, being baggy and usually big (I'm so small I never find the right side) tend to soften both my facial traits and my body shape.... lol.

@Destro_Yersul: lol, nice guitar... the pics at the fair are wonderful, I rarely get to see places like that...

It does to me. They make a lot of those mugs out of uncommon (and rather expensive) wood that you aren't likely to find in most places. Generally just used for small fancier projects. Probably something like rosewood or paduak. Of course the high gloss finish they use makes it look a bit less real, but thats necessary to seal it so that liquids don't soak into and ruin the wood.

As for Albis, the first picture I saw I thought "thats a very feminine looking guy" and unlike most people in this thread, that really hasn't changed this whole time. The lolita pictures just reinforce that more.

Period costumes are expensive, and probably wouldn't fit in my luggage in any case, so I just wore what I had. The mug is, however, real wood. it's sitting beside me on my desk right now. It just happens to be of a quite reddish colour, and has a glossy sealant on it.

Why do you look so miserable? And what's supposed to be wrong with your legs? I admit, they don't seem to be exceptionally well-toned or anything, but it's usually thighs that look like they've been stuffed with cottage cheese or cankles that get mockery, not... legs which have no real eye-catching features.

@ Coizdor: if you're referring to the close-up picture, I have absolutely no idea XD ...my money is on "I didn't make it on time to put on a decent expression before the auto-snap" ...and maybe the fact that the shoes were uncomfortanble plays a part, especially if you have to walk in front of a camera as fast as you can

@ Serpentine:  thanks. how about we dress up each other if we all ever meet? =)

@ Jacklu: thanks, I had always thought to be rather ridiculous in a skirt, since I kinda have stick-like limbs that make it look like there's no real body under all that

@ Pyrian: yes, it is kind of annoying, but I've learnt to acept that and laugh about it, and looking like an ever-crossdressing person can be fun, too... plus, if I really put my mind to it (which I usually don't, because it would mean to take something like an hour to get ready properly) I could manage to look almost completely female or almost completely male...

@ Fuzzie Fuzz: do I detect a liking for petite, uke-like boys?

@ Thanatos 51-50: who knows, my friend? There are many conflicting elements in me... like, swords and nail polish, the mess all around the room and the red fairy on my desk, my flat chest and my girly neck.......... ...and so on. XD

Granted, I've only worn a kilt twice, but I haven't really got the hang of the 'sitting down' thing without getting the kilt all bunched up under my butt.

@ Nameless: well, yeah dresses are in fact, a little awkward to wear, but surely you can bear with it to have a good laugh? I know I can XD
laughing at myself is one of the best things I've ever learnt to do =)

@ Lioness: lol, I never saw a guy with arms as skinny as mine, no matter how girly... even Kaito -my exceedingly feminine half-Japanese friend- who looks waaay girlier than I do, has bigger arms than me XD
On a different note, did I already tell you you have a really swwet face? Because you do. *nods*

@ KuReshtin: lol, I think I never saw anyone with a kilt. But I do think kilts are cool. =)

Lioness doesn't have pictures at the moment. However, Lioness will dig some up soon. Dancing tomorrow night, so I might get one then.

Edit: I lie. Here you go

I have really tiny arms and wrists, but big hands. If I do the thumb/middle finger around my wrist I have more than an inch of clearance. But I need XL gloves and can palm regulation NBA basketballs, so take that how you will.

Hohoho, you crack me up. :P
But seriously, Dresses make Nameless feel awkward.

I've agreed that if my friend can find a blue dress a la Alice in Wonderland (the disney one) I would wear it on stage (With a blond wig) and do a cover of White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. I'm confident he will fail.

Why didn't I celebrate this day? ._.

'Cause you're not a cool kid. All the cool kids did.

Rain was a bitch, here in Uruguay, though... But not nearly enough to make us back down :smallwink:

Yes, my stretchmarks are permanent. And if you look at my back, because of the stretchmarks, it looks like I've got scars from being whipped.

Umph.

I personally see stretch marks as a sign of accomplishment. The fact that you overcame obesity. :)

I really need to post another pic or 2 one of these days. I've got a couple on my camera... >.>

Nameless, although I understand that dresses are awkward, you would look
so.
effing.
adorable.

They are both a mark of shame and of accomplishment: a reminder of the shame of becoming obese, and a reminder of your ability to overcome that shame and tame the accompanying malady. As with many things, it is a mark of what you were but are no longer.

Here's the thing.

I never WAS obese. I'm a little overweight, yeah, but I've never been anything more than that.

I'm guessing my skin is just really, really unelastic.

And as for the rest of me, well...you could probably read my thighs in Arabic.

Now, you see, that's either just weird or a medical issue you should bring up with a dermatologist.

I've talked to my GP- even had blood tests and all. Nothin' wrong with me; my skin is just weird.

A whut? Worst cases of stretch marks I've heard of (until seeing SotS. Ouch) is from lanky-lank mcskinnypant people. Who were always both lanky and skinny, both before and after.

Different people get stretchmarks differently. I have them on my hips from gaining a not inconsiderable amount of weight in that region, in quite a short span of time, as girls do (I have very wide hips). They're supposed to fade to silver with time, but mine haven't done so yet. They're quite common in women - breasts and hips in the years after puberty and on the belly after pregnancy.

The eyes are the window of the soul, or so they so, so get ready to put my soul under some pretty strong scrutiny.

Again, the quality is pretty bad because it's a webcam, and the lighting ain't great, but it's not a bad picture.

This.

I have girly hip-and-sidebelly stretchmarks. Because I have girly hips when I'm a little less weighty than I am now. I got more than a little overweight a while ago, but I was never obese.

...Why do I have the feeling stretchmark photos will soon be the new YouThreadTrend?

Edit: Oh, I also have faded stretchmarks on the inside of my biceps. I got fairly tank a couple years back, but then school started up again. Sigh.

When I was in high school, one of my buddies had stretch marks. He decided he wanted to try out for the football team so he started working out, hard. Being a mesomorph, his shoulders and biceps got HUGE and with a quickness.

No, he wasn't juicing. We lived in a rural town in central Oklahoma, we wouldn't have known how to get a hold of that stuff even if he did want to.

Yeah, I had a girlfriend with stretchmarks from both of those phenomena. Both from being tall and having her rump fill out. Was rather interesting when I wasn't overcome by hormones.

I think you have to have over a B cup for stretchmarks up there though, as that's the only time I've noticed 'em up there and every woman with C and up has had 'em in my experience. As admittedly limited as it is.

More to the topic at hand, personal-like at least, I have angry red stretchmarks on the lower part of my belly. Can't for the life of me figure out when I got them, either, as I never really had my belly change size and I haven't always had them. Also have some faint ones on my inner thighs. Possibly because that's the area that responded the best/most quickly to my strength training awhile back.
