Row row fight the powah! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAlztMvvNkk)Give me one scenario in a D&D game where that would be appropriate. :smalltongue:

Blood Sugar -- Pendulum

@Prime32: Perhaps.... Overthrowing corrupt leaders? Nah.

Too realistic.

Anything that prompts you to say "The chance of that happening was 0%". :smallwink:

for Unarmed swordsages (and maybe monks):

"Everybody was kung-fu fighting" :smallamused:

Another good one is Battle Metal, by Turisas. Especially if you're a barbarian, and even more so if you're an orc barbarian.

I used this piece in a situation where my PCs were playing as part of what was at the time a minor rebellious organization against against Githyanki occupying force of a city (it makes sense in-universe, I swear). The PCs had managed to hijack on the the Githyanki flying ships but were forced to abandon it in an areal combat/chase scene. Their last two acts aboard the ship were locking the helm towards the main Gith headquarters in the city (an wizarding university) and lighting the ship on fire. Needless to say, explosions ensued.

Anyways, the piece I put on as they jumped from the ship was Rachmaninov's 1st Symphony, 4th movement. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwVgUlO_xpE) It just seemed to exemplify the over-the-top heroic nature of the act, and caused my players to burst into laughter at the same time.

As said before, Princes of the Universe..
And Won't Get Fooled Again.. Think about. Works better if they're fighting corrupt rulers or is it themselves.

And maybe the first half of In the Flesh by Pink Floyd

AC DC - This Means War

Richard Strauss - Also Sprach Zarathustra

I want to break Free by Queen, everytime somebody is grappling.

Cat People (Putting Out The Fire) by David Bowie, everytime somebody throws a fireball or generally puts something on fire. Or just when you like to burn things.

Slaughter - Film Version, by Billy Preston, for the times you just want to scare the soul out of somebody making a badass entrance. (The Man With the Big Sombrero by Samantha Shelton and Micheal Andrew also works well for this, but suits more heroic situations better)

Un Amico by Ennio Morricone, everytime your character dies ( Or is about to). Yeah, that happens to me a lot, my die hate me.

Dust in the Wind by Kansas. This is THE ultimate song to play whenever someone throws a Disintegrate spell and suceeds.

Battle without honour or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei, everytime an epic showdown is going to take place. Most commonly in use at the start of Boss-fights.

Just got killed by friendly fire? Well, Bang Bang My Baby Shot Me Down by Nancy Sinatra is the proper tunes to be listening to.

Ironside - Excerpt - Album Version by Quincy Jones, for those shocking moments where everybody is just staring at eachother.

Oh and The Ecstacy of Gold by Ennio Morricone when you finally finish that encounter and get to loot.

Im sure you can all come up with some great movie-music for a niche-moment. Help spread the word of the DnD Musical people!

A D&D game that ends up like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The Greil Mercs are practically the FE equivalent of the Dai-Gurren Brigade.

Melty Blood Actress Again - Kara no Kyoukai (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUyaBEaFI-4&fmt=35)

If anyone is put off by the title for some reason, just give it a shot. Trust me, it's awesome!

Thank you, Winthur, for setting the precedent.

Art of War by sabaton is pretty epic. As is Firestorm and 40:1

Ghost Love Score by Nightwish.

Cry of the Banshee by Brocus Helm

Killing The Dragon or Hide In The Rainbow by Dio.

King of Kings by Manowar. I think thats the name of the song. It might be Lord of Lords or Duke of Dukes or something like that.

Manowar in general, but then that's their "thing".

Another AC DC: War Machine (as heard in the Iron Man 2 trailer, for example).

I once build a whole campaign around Gustav' Holst's Planets, using every song for one specific scenery or occurance, but ended with just playing Mars, Bringer of Wars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw0jvqx1mNU&feature=related)a lot.

And every time, a character has sex (which seem to appear more often in our campaigns than on average, or so it seems) we play this part (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkymTHSbWe0) of Rossini's Willhelm Tell Overture.

Another personal favorite is Battle of Algiers (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i746s_056eA) by Ennio Morricone. Because Morricone is the unrivaled king of writing movie soundtracks.

"The Immigrant's Song" by Led Zepplin

In one game, whenever an opponent missed my halfling rogue in battle, he'd break into MC Hammer's "You Can't Touch This".

I know it's terribly cliche', but...going into battle - Queen's "We Will Rock You"
After winning the battle - Queen's "We Are the Champions". :smallwink:

Ghost Love Score by Nightwish.

This, definately. I can never listen to this song without choreographing a swordfight in my head.

The Wolf is Loose by Mastodon

More Human Than Human by White Zombie

Hall of the Mountain King by Apocalyptica

Never Say Die by Black Sabbath

Puritania by Dimmu Borgir

All right, I'll stop before I wind up listing half of my playlist.

Well if your thinking of a knock down, drag out, old fashioned visceral fist fight sounds like some LL Cool J (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKg5y7t2xVM) is in order.

Sorry! Melty Blood music is great for battles, yeah. The only problem is that the tracks are short, which could work against them around a table.

Thank you. I've heard a few different remixes of Emiya, but not that one.

I don't think it really meshes well, but the song played in the background of the most epic battle in D&D was the song "You Ain't Got Nuthin" by Lil Wayne xD
