Er... (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-03-22/warner-brothers-in-talks-for-live-action-bleach-film)

Now, I'm not sure about this, really. A Bleach Live-Action Movie? Really?

I mean, sure they may do well, but still.

Animation is more seamless, and the action more intense, in well done animation. Besides, with Modern CGI, it would be a cartoon anyway. Just with a few human actors thrown in.
Thumb down.

I am currently lobbying several dark gods to curse every live action anime adaptation to suck until I get a Lupin III movie. The rights were bought in 2003, but I haven't heard a bloody thing since then.:smallannoyed:

There's already a live action version of Bleach. It's a musical. (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bleach+musical&search_type=&aq=f)

Here's one perfomance. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUi0nqosuHs)

It has potential. If it's done by people who like the original work. Get a screenplay based heavily on the manga, then steal Nick Gillard or some other stunt coordinator with experience in swordfights, and sic ILM on the product. Add in some J-rock, and you're done.

I've heard rumours of live-action versions for anime from Robotech to Full Metal Panic... Have any such adaptations ever actually been made?

I'm pretty sure at some point they made a live-action Death Note movie I don't remember whether it was done in America or Japan though.

Japan. Two of them in fact. And a Spin-off about L. They were actually alright.

You know, I’m fairly certain that these movie makers never really read (or watch) the source material anyway, so I’m pretty confident that saying that they will not make a good live action adaptation of ANY animated show (whether its anime or not). It seems like many of these companies simply look for what’s popular and try to figure out how to best profit off of it. Thereby leaching money and fame off of other people’s hard work.

I've heard good things. I don't know why WB is doing another one.

@Live-Action Bleach: If we're lucky we'll get something similar to the Cashern movie. If we're unlucky, we'll get Dragon Ball Evolution. Either way, it'll be crappy. Death Note was much easier to do because of it's short storyline and well built plot. Bleach is... a very long plot that Warner Bros will likely split up into three or four movies.

@Bleach musical: I don't remember the plot, but I do remember Byakuya wanting to sing in the finale... or something. It was funny (just that one part).
