What is the cheapest animating program? it doesn't have to be good but I would like to be able to make it. and what would you need to get sound to go with it? All I need would be stick figures probably oots style but not too complicated.

Flash is by no means cheap. It'll run anywhere from 200-800 usd depending on which version you want and where you get it from.

Go with the Pivot stick figure thing. You won't get high quality animations. But it'll get the job done.

It's true that Flash costs. However it's free to try out. There should be a downloadable trial version somewhere on the Adobe website.

Personally when I was a little kid I would draw out all the frames in paint and then put them together in movie maker. But mostly because I didn't have the internet and could get any real animation programs.
