Oh, that reminds me, it was pointed out in the Waiting Room that Knowledge Devotion has a prerequisite of 5 ranks in a skill, and since the section in Complete Champion that deals with swapping domains for feats makes no mention of the process ignoring prerequisites, and in fact words it in such a way that states the feat is essentially being taken normally, that particular substitution of Lance's will have to be reversed before this match begins. As per precedent, there will of course be no effect on completed matches.

Questions!

Lance:You don't randomly get a -5 to the DC because you're not planning on landing, so it still requires a roll. Also, you can't stay up there without maintaining a minimum forward speed, which you didn't do (unless I'm misunderstanding your post), so you fall back to the ground regardless of whether you made the jump or not. Finally, could you clarify your movement path?

SalleraM6->R8, I guess I would move in a diagonal straight line. That is more than 20 feet which i believe is my minimum speed which would allow me to stay up there and begin gliding next turn. Can I take 10 or just jump up 9 feet instead?

If I can't stay up there just skip the jumping part, its not important. I just thought it would be a cool tactic to try.

Still not a LoS check.

Sam:E14 appears to be 50ft of movement.

HCL:All your movement is on the ground, however, and you haven't moved half your glide speed in the air. Speaking of which, I presume you're planning on jumping up to the plateau, but it's usually a good idea to mention such things.

@SalleraI did not realize you had to jump up onto it but I autosucceed my check if I need to. I'm not sure I think it would be sensical to be able to jump up and stay up there and then be able to jump down or start gliding next turn. Think like a hangglider, you run then jump off the cliff and then start gliding down. Or in my case I'm a birdman. I don't know just skip the jump if it does not work RAW.

IIRC a large humanoid with a reach weapon has a 20 foot reach so you provoke an AoO moving out of U18 assuming you do not have cover against me. I will wait for a ref to let us know if you do have cover and if not I will take my aoo. What does hatred do?

Lance Round 4:

Move to U12,U13, V13, V14 (Charging if possible, I am not sure if that is a valid path for a charge)
Attempt to initiate a grapple Melee touch attack [roll0] (add 2 if I am allowed to charge). You do not get an Aoo because I am large and have reach against you.

Wow, I totally missed you being Large meaning you could grapple me with impunity. I think this is probably game unless I'm super lucky on the grapple check.

LOL so now we need a ref to let us know if you got an AoO earlier. Hatred is a domain power that gives me +2 AC, attacks and saves vs one enemy for 1 minute.

Lance does get the AoO. He does not, however, get that grapple attempt as planned, since Expansion only has a 1 rnd/level duration and thus wears off at the beginning of his turn. And you can only charge off the edge of the cliff if you don't go downward at all, if it matters. Lance can redo his turn after taking his AoO.

The SRD version of Expansion is incorrect I the XPH version is the correct version and has it listed at 1 min/level.

Am I allowed to use my luck reroll on the grapple check or is it too late? if so [roll0]

I remain unconvinced. The errata for XPH still lists the third augment option as increasing the duration to 10min/level from 1 round/level. Compression, the reverse power, is also 1 round/level, even in the XPH. Have you got evidence that it should be otherwise?

Its whats in the book. The SRD has been known to be incorrect, I thought precedent was to use the text source over the SRD when there is a disagreement.

Well, the book in this case contradicts itself, so I'm going with what's in the errata, since it is of course a later source.

I switch Law devotion from AC bonus to attack and charge him instead and attack with my longspear, I think that the square I would end up in is T11 since its 10 feet down from there

Myth Weavers is apparently down, so I can't look at my character sheet. I do know that the -4 for light weapons applies, so I'll just roll and then we'll see if I'm anywhere close to a 17. I think though that my attack with the sickle is only +1, so that would make 17 my max.

It has been ruled several times now that using Profane Agony and Profane Lifeleech do not provoke. Using feats generally doesn't provoke, and Turning/Rebuking which these feats feed off of don't provoke either.
