We talk about optimization but after a conversation with my friends I noticed something... D&D is a living breathing world and with that, some character options will reign dominant over others while some others may become either endangered or extinct...

Before we hit the world of 4.0 What would the "heroes of 3.5" look like...

Melee has been dominated by TOB...
Archers are extinct or endangered...
Casters are the dominant force on the planet...

I sense this thread has much potential

I've been thinking about that actually.
How about make the arcane archer into something compatible with the ranger (advances animal companion and spell casting) and give rangers access to the druids spell list?
