The Evolutionist

An evolutionist is someone who as embrace the recente transfomation that affect numerous creature in the world, including the evolutionist himself.
He seek to use them to augment is own power and to do so transform is own body.

BECOMING AN EVOLUTIONIST

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Feat: Any two template feat
Skills: Knowledge(arcana, the plane, nature or dungeoneering) 4 rank, Any two 10 rank
Special: Must have one of the following template, Artificial, Slime, Weed, Unliving, Energy, Bizarre, Divided, Breather, Seelie, Oversized, Mundane, Wonderful, Savage, Exiled or Arthropod

Alignment: Any
Hit Die: 1d8

Class Skills:
Concentration (Con), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Disguise (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Knowledge(dungeoneering) (Int), Knowledge (nature) (Int), Knowledge (the planes) (Int), Martial lore (Int) Profession (Wis), Psicraft (Int), Spellcraft (Int)

Weapon Proficiencies: Evolutionist gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Class features: At each level after 1st, you gain one class features (detail below) and an increase in effective level as if you had also gained a level in a class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain the benefit of your previous classís Hit Dice, BaB, skill points, or saving throws. If you had more than one class before becoming an evolutionist, you must decide to which class to adds each level of this prestige class for the purpose of determining class features. You must already possess those ability to be able to progress them, this prestige class doesnít grant them.

Aura: You learn additional aura as if you had gained a level in any one aura using class you have previously gained levels in. These levels stack with your previous levels to determine the power of these aura.


Bardic music: You learn additional bardic music per day as if you had gained a level in the bard class. These levels stack with your previous levels to determine the bonus granted and what type of music you can use. (provide you met the skill requirement.)


Companion: This level stack with any one class level that grant you a companion (animal companion, familiar, psycrystal, special mount or other) to determine your effective level for the purpose of that companion stat and ability.


Fighter feat: This level stack with those of any previous fighter level for the purpose of gaining bonus fighter feat and for determining your effective fighter level to qualify for feat.


Hexbladeís Curse: This level stack with any previous hexblade level to determine the number of time per day you can use your hexblade curse and the save DC of the curse.


Initiator: You learn additional maneuvers as if you had gained a level in any one initiating class you have previously gained levels in. This level stack with your previous martial adept levels to determine your initiator level.


Inspiration point: This level stack with those of any previous Factotum level to determine the number of inspiration point you gain per encounter.


Knightís challenge: This level stack with any previous knight level to determine the number of time you can use your knights challenge ability, the save DC of the challenge, the bonus granted when you used it and the option aviable to you when you use it.


Manifesting: You gain additional power points per day, an increase in manifester level, and access to new powers as if you had also gained a level in whatever manifesting class to which you belonge before adding this prestige class level.


Meldshaping: You increase your meldshaper level, the number of soulmelds you can shape, the number of chakra binds you can create, and your essentia pool as if you had gained a level in the meldshaping class to which you belonged before adding this prestige class level.


Mind blade: This level stack with those of any previous soulblade level to determine the enhancement bonus of your mindblade and the special ability that can be add to it.


Monk ability: This level stack with those of any previous monk (or unarmed swordsage) level to determine the damage dealt by your unarmed strike and your AC bonus.


Precision damage: This level stack with those of any previous class that grant you any form of precision damage (sneak attack, sudden strike, skirmish or similar) for the purpose of determining the damage dealt and for skirmish the AC bonus.


Rage: This level stack with those of any one previous class level granting you a rage of any sort for the purpose of determinging the number of time per day you can use it and the intensity of the rage (Greater, Mighty)


Smiting: This level stack with those of any previous class granting you a smiting ability of any sort for the purpose of determinging the number of time per day you can use it and the bonus damage dealt.


Soul Binding: Your soulbinding improves as if you had also gain a level in a binding class. Thus, this level and your binding class level stack for the purpose of determining your bonus on binding checks, the effectiveness of your vestige-granted abilities, your ability to bind higher level vestiges and the numbers of vestiges you can bind.


Spellcasting: You gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level . (this can also apply to invocation using class like the warlock or dragonfire adept and augment the damage dealt by their eldritch blast or breath weapon as normal, this can also apply to mystery using class like the shadowcasters)


Truenaming: You learn additional utterances as if you had gained a level in any one truenaming class you have previously gained levels in. This level stack with your previous levels to determine your truenamer level.


Wildshape: This level stack with those of any previous druid level (or any other class granting wildshape) to determine the number of time per day you can use it, the size of the form you can take and what type of creature you can turn into

Evolution Path: At 1st level and each time you gain a new Evolutionist level you gain acces to a new template chosen from the list below:
Artificial, Slime, Weed, Unliving, Energy, Bizarre, Divided, Breather, Seelie, Oversized, Mundane, Wonderful, Savage, Exiled or Arthropod.
When gaining acces to a template you must make any choice that would be required when applying it such as chosing a bonus feat or trait. This choice can never be changed.
You canít select a template if your original type wouldnít permit you to gain it. For example a Slime Human could never gain acces to the Mundane template because her original type was humanoid.
In addition you also have acces to the template that qualify you for this prestige class. The number of template you have acces to is indicated in the table, at 13th you have acces to all template except the one bared to you.
Special: If a template grant acces to some skill as class skill, those skill are always class skill for you since the moment you gain acces to the template even if you arenít always ďusingĒ it.

Controled mutation (Su): Once per day by meditating for 10 minute you can lose the benefit of a template currently affecting you and exchange it for one you have acces to. You can only lose a template from those list above. For example if you are a half-dragon you canít lose this template by using this class feature.
At 6th you can change template twice per day and at 11th you can do so three time per day.
Special: When calculating your ECL you should only take into account the LA (if any from the template that qualify your for this Prc

Bonus feat: At 3rd , 6th, 9th, and 12th level, you gains a bonus template feat. You can only use a template feat as long you are currently using the template that qualify for it.

Fast mutation (Su): At 5th level you only need 1 minute of meditation to change template, At 10th this is reduce again to a full-round action.

Double mutation (Su): At 7th level you when meditating to change template you can chose to assume two at the same time. This superseded the rule that stat that you can never benefit from more than one of those template at the same time. You are considered to have both type at the same time, you gain all the benefit from both template, if the feat contradicted each other, for example Divided and Mundane the first set Int at 2 the other at minimum 3 or unchanged, in this case chose whatís the most advantageous for you.

Triple mutation (Su): At 13th level you can now assume three template at the same time. This ability otherwise work exactly like Double mutation.

Apotheose: At 13th level you gain the shapechanger subtype. In addtion once per day you can change all your template as a swift action.

Designer note:
For this Prc I want to give the option to enter to anyone, you can progress nearly any class feature with it and you only lose one level.
I hope that I manage to word that right.
The ability themsleves revolve around gaining more template and changing template depending on the situation.

No of course not, but I create it with that assumption that I would use it in my campaign where I waived the La for the player.
I wil add a line stating that only the La from the original template apply, if any.

I concur.

You could, for example, take this class with the Druid, and essentially lose absolutely squat for the trouble, but get a truck load of new features.

I specifically precise only one initiating class.


You could, for example, take this class with the Druid, and essentially lose absolutely squat for the trouble, but get a truck load of new features.

Neither because they have to chose which class feature to advance each level betwen spellcasting, animal companion or wildshape.
But i will check the wording to make sure that's clear.

That's such a stupid mistake ! Thank's for catching it, I've correct it here and I will go in the other thred to do the same.
