As Bendak goes down the stairs, some lights far overhead turn on and there is some slight illumination. You all notice that, on either side of Bendak, about 20 meters away, are two shadowy figures that basically mimic his movements. As he goes down the stairs, they slowly descend as well.

((If he stops, they stop. If he turns, they turn. While the figures have definite shape, they are basically shadows. You can't make out any details about clothing or their look.))

Bendak see the figures and stops 3 quarters of the way down and turns to to get a beater look at them But can't make out any details, so Bendak ignites the lightsaber hoping that it will provide the elimination need to make out some more details

The far wall right near where the figures are reflects a small amount of your lightsaber color, but you still can't make out details of the figure. The figures are also, you notice, taking the same pose as you. They don't, however, have lightsabers.

Tien manages to shake and shimmy very successfully, even given the tight area in which you are all occupying. The rock hits where the figure is, in the hip region. You feel a slight twinge in your hip (1 point of subdual damage) and then the rock seemingly bounces off of some sort of solid barrier and begins to plummet down to the unseen depths below.

After the second platform, there is another stairwell that only is wide enough to walk single file. This leads to a path of the same width. The shadowy figures do nothing but mimic movement as you make your way along. As you walk, another shadowy figure appears that the person in the front of the line can see. It appears to be moving towards you.

((If you keep walking, you come face to face with the shadowy figure, but aside from vague outline, there are no similar characteristics. If you attempt to interact in any way with the figure (touching, things like that), your hand comes up against a smooth surface, and there is a bit of a tingling sensation. There is also a wall to your right, but not to your left.))

Between Kadlo and Bendak, your group manages to find its way through the maze with minimal backtracking. At the end is another door, although this one is wide open. The following room is a bit round and expansive. It's length and width are only exceeded by its towering height. To your right, blue flames begin to light around the perimeter, and the same thing with red flames to your left. It doesn't seem like there is enough light to illuminate the room, but the room is slowly flooded with a pulsating light. Along the back wall is a massive statue, its details somehow worn down over time. About midway through the room on the right and left are large staircases that lead up to pillars. The pillar on the right is bluish while the pillar on the left is reddish. You can't tell what is ontop of the pillars from here.

((And that is the last posting until I get back. Enjoy yourselves :smallwink: ))

At the top of each pillar is a pedastal with what looks like two objects floating there. One is a lightsaber hilt, and the other is a holocron. The holocron on the blue pillar is shaped like the structure you are now in, and the holocron on the red pillar is orb shaped, very much like the last one.

((I'm back by the way ))

Bendak takes out the duffel bag and then approaches the holocron first and gentle picks it up and place it in the bag net he grabs the lightsaber he hold it a moment appreciating the design and then wondering if it still had power taps the activation stud, after it has activated he deactivates it and place it on his belt next to the one he currently has. Bendak then heads down the pillar with the items.

Cyrus112
2007-01-15, 09:58 PM
There are no traps, Garik. Bendak, once you pick up the holocron, it seems to buzz and grow warm in your hand. The same cloaked figure from the last holocron appears in front of you again.

"A Jedi's strength flows from the force. Beware anger, fear, and aggression, for they lead to the Dark Side."

The holocron stops humming and goes silent. The lightsaber surprisingly still works, and the blade springs forth, humming and glowing a bright yellow.

Garik, after picking up the orb, a figure appears as the holocron begins to buzz and the same figure that appeared last time appears again when picking up the holocron.

"The Dark Side is the path to power. Use your anger." The figure disappears and the holocron stops buzzing.

If you check the lightsaber, the blade bursts forth with a steady red glow.

Garik, you notice that this structure is quite ancient, and that when it hits the ground, the ceiling above it gets a bit shaky. Dust comes falling down from cracks in the ceiling and it looks none too stable. Tien's shot hit true and a big chunk of the things ankle/foot region goes flying away.

The thing still stands. It sends a kick flying Kadlo's way.

After the furious lightsaber assault, the leg finally comes free of the foot. The statue loses its balance and falls forward. (Reflex saves for all standing in front of the statue, which would be Bendak and Kadlo).

As it hits the ground, the ceiling that Garik was shooting at comes crashing down, along with a lot more of the ceiling (Reflexes for everyone. If you've already made one, make another one). Some of the ceiling hits the statue. The statue becomes lifeless. The door it was guarding opens silently to reveal an elevator.
