Class Skills:
Balance(Dex), Climb(Str), Heal(Wis), Jump(Str), Listen(Wis), Spot(Wis), Survival(Wis), Tumble(Dex)
Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier

Defensive Stance (Ex): As a move action, a Defender can assume a Defensive Stance. While in this stance, the Defender gains a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, along with a +2 resistance bonus to saves and a +2 Dodge bonus to AC. They also receive this bonus to Strength and Constitution for the duration of the stance. For each Defender level above first, this bonus increases by +1. While at first the Defender cannot move very far with this stance, they eventually learn to move into better positions while retaining their bonuses. A Defender in a Defensive Stance can move a distance equal to the number in the column labeled Defensive Stance Movement without losing the benefits of the stance.

Armor Bonus (Ex): As a Defender becomes more experienced, they can ward off blows with their armor better. Any armor a Defender wears gains a bonus to its armor bonus equal to the number on the table. (So a 2nd level Defender with a +1 Breastplate would gain a total AC bonus of +8 from it, 1 from the enhancement, 5 from the base and 2 from the class bonus)

Impede Movement (Ex): A Defender eventually becomes so able to protect an area, enemies must move slowly through it. At second level, all squares the Defender threatens and all squares adjacent to those are treated as difficult terrain.

Bastion of Defense (Ex): As a Defender grows even more skilled, they gain incredible reflexes in their stance. At fourth level, they gain the benefits of Improved Evasion and Uncanny Dodge(the Rogue level required to sneak attack the Defender is equal to the Defender's total class levels+4) while in their stance.

Damage Reduction (Ex): A Defender becomes extremely durable, and at 5th level they gain Damage Reduction 5/-.

Notes: I based the defensive stance off of the Armands' racial one, rather than the old DD one, and made it a move action rather than X/day, which I never felt made sense.

Hey, this would work great with someone wearing mountain plate because they would only have 15ft speed anyways.
