I've recently learned to use inkscape, and these little avatars are the result. I've had the screen-name colonelslime for quite a while now, ever since I had the concept for a (now defunct) RPGMaker project involving a monster rebellion against the PC's, with a slime at the center.

So, in a effort to garner so constructive criticism, as well as any praise people feel I warrant :smalltongue:, I'm posting them here to see what people think.

The only thing I will note is that these were the effort of about 20 minutes each, so they were done rather hastily while the inspiration caught me. I'm sure I could do more detailed work if I applied myself (though the chances of that happening, between school and work, are lukewarm at best):smallannoyed:

Edit: Wow, I forgot to actually post the slimes

A slime with a monicle? Easily one of the most amusing things I've seen in a while. :smallcool:

We can do both!

What? Don't you try to eat your delicious friends? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRmey2WvWnw)

Maybe thicker lines; that could help maybe.

Seconded. Stroke of 2 pixels looks the best (its what Rich uses).

Yeah, I think a thicker border is all those need.

Except he doesn't use Inkscape, and other programs measure that differently.

If you are talking about rich, no he doesn't use inkscape, however almost all of the avatarists on this forum do, and a width of 2 is what matches rich's strokes best.

They kinda remind me of the pacman ghosts ^^

Thanks for the comments.

On the topic of the line thickness, does anyone know the average size of Rich's art? I already have my lines set to to pixel width (little bit more actually) but I made the slimes really large and shrunk them down, so it's possible to pixels at full size isn't enough for the effect.

Edit: Also, forgive the lateness of my reply to this thread, I was busy recently preparing for my registration for yet another year of university -_-. I just have to keep repeating to myself "It'll all be worth it in the end"

...Are you like younger me?

When I was little I drew those slime (called them Blobs rather than slime though) eeeeveerrrryyywhheeeere! Doodled them all over my schoolbooks. Quite fun.

Those are better than mine ever were though. :smallamused:

I think we're the same person, but I'm visibly evil. That's the only difference that I can see.

Baron slime is probably the coolest thing I've seen all week.
