So, I currently have an outline for a character who is a Dread Necromancer Bard.
What other classes work really well with either class or the combination of the two?

At this point it might be the best idea to look for PrCs advancing either or both of those (Sublime Chord?), but if you really want extra base classes... Beguiler fits together with Bard really good flavour-wise and ups your skillmonkey-ness and gives trapfinding. A level of Marshal or Dragon Shaman would up your party-boosting capabilities and you don't need to spend actions keeping it up like Bardic Music (a Marshal's major aura and a Dragon Shaman's draconic aura function the same, and Marshals can be allowed draconic auras, so you could also ask the DM to allow Dragon Shamans to take major auras from the Marshal).

It kind of depends on what you are going for, really. Is the idea to create an undead army that you boost through bardic music?

If you want to play a Necro-Bard, go Dirgesinger, if you want a bard with additional casting abilities go Bard/Beguiler or Bard/Sublime Chord

Gorgondantess actually homebrewed a dual progression class for bard/dread necro on these boards, you should find it with some searching.

It might not fit every game, however, as it was a little silly. It added a background chorus of singing skeletons to your bardic music.

Necessary link may be necessary, but necessary link is blocked in my part of the world. But I can guess.

Assuming this site (http://listentoyoutube.com/) is not also blocked to you, you don't have to guess! (well, sort of)

If it's a video that starts with narration one of the greatest classic horror actors of all time, rest in peace Mr. Price, and the goes to a bunch of zombies dancing lead by a certain creepy, recently deceased, singer, then I have guessed.
And seen it.
