But seriously, there's been so much about wheel clamping in the news over here (well, private wheel clamping anyway).

Over here, if it's not issued by the police, you don't pay it, and there's nothing they can do about it.

That's pretty much going to be the case in the UK, too...they're banning clamping on private property, although police and the councils can still do it.
