So the past few times I've tried to make a post, I've been continually redirected to a 404 page. I can backspace and keep typing, but...

...what's going on?

I have only experienced this twice or thrice, but at those times the post was still made. :smallconfused:

Are you sure it is a 404 page and not another code such as 403 or 500?

When did it happen? What were you doing? Which thread were you replying to?

Did the post go through? Were you able to submit it after pressing back? Did you end up with multiple submissions?

Yes. The url clearly had a 404, and the page said that the requested page could not be found.

When did it happen?

About ten minutes before I created this topic.

What were you doing?

I was typing my reply. I hadn't hit submit yet, but as I was typing the page redirected. I hit back and was able to continue from where I had left off, but it happened multiple times.

Which thread were you replying to?

The Naruto manga thread, I believe.

No. As I said, the problem was not with submitting it, but with actually typing it in the first place.

The page should not be redirecting mid typing, nor should it go to a 404. Try running virus/malware and spyware scans.

Funny thing, I'd just ran some earlier and nothing came up. At any rate, the problem seems to have been fixed or something.

Another cause could have been a stuck ctrl or alt key that was causing you to hit a shortcut combo mid typing.
