The strongest Servant is in front of me, one of the greatest heroes in history and more powerful than ever. He's invulnerable to anything short of a tactical nuke, and even fellow heroes like Saber and Archer could not defeat him.

My already useless powers have become so self-destructive that half my body's been destroyed and I can't remember my own name. Creating anything larger than a dagger will surely kill me.

More difficult than it sounds. Still images don't really communicate the sheer amounts of emotion and kinetic energy that the series thrives on. In words at least, it can be said that its mission statement seems to be to make each episode even more impactful and striking than the previous, which results in a series that is constantly increasing in scale both literally and figuratively, and maintains such a powder keg of energy and excitement that there is hardly a single battle, fight, or struggle that doesn't have your fist pumping in the air.

At least, that's my view. And if you still want images...

I don't think any of the pictures so far(at least as far as pokemon are concerned) have managed to converge a cute like monsters that are actually a very real monsters. Lugia certainly takes the cake in that aspect.

I admit, that rope put me off at first, as well. But once I had conducted some research, I realised that that's all more or less part of the act (The hyena handlers are traveling showmen first and foremost, the team on the picture had enough time to set up a pose), the animals are usually kept in a way much similar to the way watch- or seeing-eye-dogs are treated (That is, usually on a leash, but with a relatively generous amount of freedom), and found it easier to enjoy the badassery of a guy who can go and tame, no less train, something lions and leopards twice its size are afraid of.

This is, sort of, the old school litmus test. If you look at this and thing “That is just too damn awesome for words!”, you “get” old school. If you look at this and think “Wow, that’s just lame.”, you don’t.

Anyway, the galactic dragon (singular, like Bahamat and Tiamat, though Bahamat and Tiamat are like little cuddly dragon kittens next to this guy) is “feared even by the gods” but cannot enter planetary atmospheres. It has 200 hit dice, Armor Class 0 (which really isn’t that impressive, then again, it’s not like you could miss it). Three times a day, it breathes a blob of anti-matter that expands to one mile diameter at five miles of distance. Anything caught within the blob must save, with no plusses, or be utterly annihilated, requiring one to ten simultaneously cast wishes to revive him. Yeah, old school gaming was “heroic, not superheroic” and I’m 6’8″ tall with washboard abs and a bevy of supermodels at my beck and call. Monsters like this were created because players had characters who could deal with them (or the DMs were desperate to kill off the uber munchkins who had already worked their way through “Gods, Demigods, and Heroes” from Apollo to Zeus. Sure, there were low-power, gritty, realistic games with rare and mysterious magic, heroes who mostly fought “common” mythical creatures like ogres and goblins, and a clearly defined pseudo-medieval setting only slightly touched by high fantasy. We had a word for such games back in my high school: BORING! Dammit, if I can’t play a phraint techno with a lightsaber fighting cyborg centaurs, then what’s the point?

If you are fortunate enough to save against the anti-matter cloud, you may be teleported 1-10 light years, merely be disintegrated (much easier to raise), or “become antimatter”, the exact effects of which are up to the delightful sadism of the DM. It is a simple fact that the DM in this case will be a sadist, because, if you’re fighting the galactic dragon, you have clearly driven the poor man to the brink.

/ nitpick The Unit-01 didn't have a glowing are until Rebuild 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance so he didn't have have it in any of the episodes. But the EVA-01 did fight Eva-03 in that movie. The Unit-01 never even wields the Spear of Longinus. Also Eva-03 isn't even in that picture.

Rebuild of Eva spoilers
That's not the regenerated flesh and blood arm from the series. That's EVA-01's AT-Field Arm from Rebuild, which it does get in the Zeruel battle and uses it to clobber the new and improved Creepy "Lookie I stole Rei's Body" Zeruel.

The hovering EVA is EVA-06.
