Hello peoples, this is a prestige class that I created, called the Illusion scoundrel. Any Rogue-type character can become one, and they get illusion-related abilities. This is the first time I have EVER homebrewed, so keep that in mind.
Illusion Scoundrel
Hit Die: d6
Requirements:
Skills: Hide 7 ranks, Move silently 7 ranks, Use magic device 5 ranks
Abilities: Sneak Attack (+2d6) OR skirmish (+2d6 +1 AC)
Special: Must possess a Hidden One Rod (see below)
{table]Level|BAB|Fort Save|Ref Save|Will Save|Special
1st|+0|+0|+2|+0|Ghost Sound 3/day, Chameleon 1/day
2nd|+1|+0|+3|+0|Illusionist 1st, sneak attack +1d6
3rd|+2|+1|+3|+1|Ghost Sound 5/day, Chameleon 2/day
4th|+3|+1|+4|+1|Illusionist 2nd, sneak attack +2d6
5th|+3|+1|+4|+1|Ghost Sound 7/day, Chameleon 3/day[/table]
Class Skills
The illusion scoundrel’s class skills are Appraise, Balance, Climb, Concentration, Craft, Decipher Script, Disable Device, Disguise, Escape Artist, Forgery, Hide, Jump, Listen, Move Silently, Open Lock, Search, Sleight of Hand, Spot, Tumble, Use Magic Device, and Use Rope. Skill points at each level: 8 + int mod.
Class Features
Ghost Sound (sp): The Illusion scoundrel can use ghost sound, as the spell, a number of times per day as the table above specifies. Activating this is a move action.
Chameleon (sp): An illusion scoundrel can temporarily blend in with whatever surroundings he is in. This allows him to use the hide skill even while being observed. The effect lasts 1 minute/class level. Activating this is a move action.
Illusionist (sp): The illusion scoundrel may choose 3 arcane illusion spells of the level specified. He can cast these spells 1/day each.

The Hidden One Rod: This is a rod made of black wood. This rod is needed for an illusion scoundrel to use his abilities. The rod has no other use.

Constructive criticism is VERY welcome!

It reads as a Rogue Prestige Class, that gets a few weak Spell Like Abilities per day in exchange for a little Sneak Attack, which is a requirement to enter.

It feels like it wants to be a specialized version of the Arcane Trickster, and Illusionist/Rogue PrC.

The Hidden Rod needs a lot of expansion.

Ghost Sound, by level 5, at will, isn't too crazy.
Currently Chameleon isn't nearly as good as a Shadow Dancer's at will Hide in Plain Sight.

A good idea is to compare this to some other existing PrCs and see which you'd rather play. If there is an obvious answer, you may have a balancing issue. (Or a bias to playing certain roles.)

I recomend at least looking at the
Arcane Trickster (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/arcaneTrickster.htm)
Shadow Dancer (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/shadowdancer.htm)
Assassin (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/assassin.htm)(Often Argued to be one of the weaker PrCs, and is certainly a bit of a boring one at times.)
