Any thoughts on a homebrew martial discipline based on spinning? Maneuvers could include capoeira-style sweeping kicks, progressing to attacking every opponent around you, Spin To Deflect Stuff (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SpinToDeflectStuff), spinning fast enough to create strong winds or tunnel through stone, and GIGA... DRILL... etc. Maybe boosts which let you build up static electricity or heat from the friction.

Many of these maneuvers would be powerful but carry the risk of dazing you for 1 round after use due to dizziness.

My understanding of awesome in reference to hand-to-hand combat is that the more ridiculously stupid it would be in real life, the cooler it will be in fiction. So yeah, basically this is the best idea anyone has ever had.

You do realize the last maneuver has to be called Heaven-Piercing Great Spiral, right?

You could probably do this simply by refluffing a mix of Iron Heart and Tiger Claw manoeuvres and making a couple of stances and the 9th level manoeuvre as both seem to have a spinning/flailing aspect.

"Wheezing, use Smokescreen!"
"Scyther, use Swords Dance!"
