The first vote shall be for starting and ending level. You'll get to vote for two numbers. The first is a number between 1 and 15 for starting level, the second is a number between 2 and 5 for the offset from starting level to get ending level!

Outsider.

A construct BBEG would be interesting, assuming you didn't take the easy way out and use a warforged.

Bah, sadistic voting creates the unique and fun. Or at least then unique. Maybe something Tomb of Horrors. Actually we should vote up a Tomb of Horrors, make the most difficult dungeon that will kill characters faster than the ToH or that one Dark Sun Dungeon. *prepares to vote sadistically*

... a stealthy/skilled type. (11)

flabort
2010-12-22, 01:24 PM
So, to recap what we have so far, This adventure
-Starts at 3rd level
-has 3 mid-adventure levelups
-Is in a mountanous region, possibly with extraplanar influence (mountains won 6:5)
-has a Plant-type main-enemy type
-BBEG has a sneaky/stealthy role.

Am I right?

what other votes are possible?
-gestalt vs non (not that important)
-How difficult it is (ranging from 1 to 10, where 1 is super easy, and 10 is tomb of horrors) (I'd vote 7)
-What sort of plot hook (this would be a free form vote (an "insert your vote here" vote))
-What kind of player-character(s) it caters to (encourage the PCs to be crit-fishers? druids? rogues?)

Of course, those votes are all suggestions. to help you brainstorm.

Fire, because a fire using plant is always fun.

Eruptulip (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8883058&postcount=1)?

I'll vote later. I'm not sure yet.

I like the the idea of the weather being a problem. I think it will make for a good complement to the plaint BBEG and will play well in the mountains So chalk another one up for weather.

Awesome creature. Anyway, it seems I put fire and plant in the wrong order.

I think you meant "fire-using plant" when you had "fire using plant" before.

Ah, the English language. :smalltongue:

Oh, and thanks.

I indeed did. In fact I fixed it before I complimented your creature. Ironic how the grammar nazi made a grammar error. :smalltongue:

Oh, and thanks.
You're welcome.

Fixed it for you.

"I did indeed" is grammatically correct, just awkward to say. On a side note, I've found that how bad my grammar is, is inversely proportional to how much sleep I've had lately. Another reason to dislike traveling, I suppose.

Then I typed the wrong phrase. However, my comment toward it being correct, but just awkward to say still stands. Anyway, I'm wondering what the results for this vote up are going to be. Current count is

Disease (2)
Weather (2)
Fire (4)
Allies (1)
Multiple Opposed Interests (7)
Temporary planar trait (0).
It appears that Opposed interests are winning by three. Well, we still have four days for there to be a massive amount of people to suddenly vote for fire.

So then at this rate, this adventure will be on top of Old Smokey. With a Fiendish Dire Carrot...

Fixed that for you... Would have suggested Dandelion, but with the added templates that might make the CR a little too high.

If one of fire or multiple opposed interests has one less vote than the other at the end, I vote for the one with less to make it a tie.

If any other comes out on top, I vote for fire.

Please don't make votes like these, it makes it hell to keep track.

I'm thinking disease is necessary. Spores need to be brought back into a good light, and what better carrier is there?

Fire And Plants = Awsome!

Too late, I'm afraid. Deadline was midnight GMT.

Anyway, the winner is Multiple Opposed Interests.

And I think I have enough detail to write an adventure from now, any comments and/or objections are welcome while I write this thing up.

Once voting's over, that's how it usually works... (with the noted exception of the Vote Up A Campaign Setting project, which was far too awesome to be bound by those puny traditions)
