Starting the drow campaign and found the cantrips lack the cool 'drow flavor' so I added some....

Spells

Spider Call
Enchantment/charm
Level: Sor/Wiz 0, Bard 0
Components: V, S
Casting Time:1 standard action
Range:10 feet/level
Area:10 feet/level
Duration:Instantaneous
Saving Throw:None
Spell Resistance: No
This cantrip calls all normal, natural, non monstrous spiders in the area to a single spot chosen by the caster. The spiders will move to the spot at their best speed, but this cantrip gives no other control of the spiders.

Lore This cantrip is often used for simple spider gathering missions for apprentices. It also has the use of moving a spider out of the way, if needed.




Fang Finger
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 0, Bard 0, Clr 0
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time:1 standard action
Range:self
Target:You
Duration:1 round/level
Saving Throw:none
Spell Resistance: No
This spell causes the tip of a single finger of the caster to grow the fangs of a tiny monstrous spider. The caster is then considered armed an may make a touch attack to do bite damage and poison damage(See MM288).

LoreWhile the base cantrip only sees use by young apprentices, this is a common cantrip to augment with other touch spells.

Material Component:A bit of hair from a spider

Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz 0, Bard 0
Components: V, S
Casting Time:1 standard action
Range:10 ft./level
Target:One Tiny object
Duration: 1 round + 1 round/ 2 levels

Spell Resistance:No
This spell causes a single tiny object to grow spider like legs. Treat the effected object as an Animated Object for its duration.


Conjure Spider Venom
Conjuration(Creation)
Level:Sor/Wiz 0, Drd 0
Components: S
Casting Time:One standard action
Range:Touch
Effect:Creates one dose of poison
Duration:instantaneous
Saving Throw:None
Spell Resistance: No
This spell creates a single dose of spider venom from a medium monstrous spider(see MM 288). The poison forms as a ball and will quickly spray over the area unless it is created in an appropriate container.

LoreNot an attack spell, by itself. It is normal used to simply create a dose of poison as needed. The poison can simply be added to a weapon for effect.


Web Seal

Level: Brd 0, Sor/Wiz 0
Components:S
Casting Time:1 immeidate action
Range:10 ft + 10ft/ 2 levels
Area:Up to a 1 foot square
Duration:Instantaneous
Saving Throw:None
Spell Resistance: Yes(harmless)
This cantrip fires a small ball of of spider-like webbing at a single target within range. When the web ball strikes a solid object it will explode and cover the object to the full spell area of effect. The webbing hold the object fast, requiring a STR roll vs a DC 10 ten to move the object.

LoreGenerally used by wizards to stop apprentices from moving a dangerous item or from opening a cabinet door.


Finger Strand

Casting Time: 1 swift action
Range:10 ft
Effect:one web strand
Duration:Instantaneous
Saving Throw:none
Spell Resistance: No
This cantrip fires a web strand from one of the casters fingers. If the object is unattended and hit by the web strand is Tiny size or smaller, then the caster can pull it towards them as a move action.

LoreOften used to move or fetch tiny items.


Detect Spiders
Divination
Level: Brd 0, Sor/Wiz 0
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time:One minute
Range:Long
Area:Cone
Duration:Concentration, up to 10 min/level
Saving Throw:none
Spell Resistance: No
As per Detect Animals, except as above and it only detects spiders.

Spider call: Nice, but good lord thats going to be a lot of spiders in later levels. Think about making a higher level spell to make a temporary spider-golem.

Fang finger: To me the "touch-attack" part doesn't make much sense as you have to penetrate what armor there is to get the poison into the bloodstream. But its easily permissable as it doesn't do much.

Spidery legs: "Oi, plate, stay here. Get back here mug."

Conjure spider-venom: Maybe add a "disappears after X if not used" line to restrict stocking up. (and selling)

Web seal: stackable? dissolves after? (nice flavour though)

Finger strand: Spider man ... eh who cares. maybe add flavour along the lines "3 or more immediate applications through the same finger can work as a tripwire"

Detect Spiders: Cast this in a forest and its as good as darkvision.
