I'm thinking about seeing it tonight. Is it a kiddie movie or something adults can enjoy too?

Since when have "kiddie movies" been something adults can't enjoy? :smallconfused: Good ones, anyway...

It looks gorgeous enough to justify seeing it even if you don't like the story.

I'd say it's enjoyable enough for adults, but some have said that they found the plot and characters too bland for their liking. But, again, the animation is so mindblowingly pretty you probably won't mind much even if the story isn't for you.

If you like Westerns. The whole thing is a tribute to at least six or seven old Westerns.

I went and saw it with a group of friends. We're all in college, and we loved it, probably more than any of the kids in the theater did.

Its fantastic.

Best way I can describe it is that it has a similar tone to Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but with lizards and westerns instead of Toons and Film Noir.

Alright then. I'll be seeing it in fifty minutes. Thanks for the recommendation.

It's boring, all characters look like germs from Domestos ads and there's johnny depp in it. In short, no.

I'm glad Rango appears to be good, because I was thinking about seeing it myself. I actually tend to enjoy kiddie movies and shows; having liked G&J, everything by Jim Henson, and Shrek.

I just went to see it.

Really liked it. It's not really a kids movie at all (the words "damn" and "hell" are used surprisingly frequently, and there are multiple onscreen deaths). Rated PG, but it's at the upper limit of the rating, probably.

Animation is gorgeous, action is great, jokes are pretty funny. And the actors are all clearly having tons of fun. Especially Depp, whose character combines aspects of Jack Sparrow and Raoul Duke (who makes a hilarious cameo by the way).

It does go a little slowly at parts, but mostly uses the time to pay homage to multiple westerns. If you like that genre (I sorta do), then you'll like this.

The set pieces are brilliant. Especially the action sequence with the burrowing creatures... whatever they're called. That alone makes it worth, in my mind.

This. Highlight for me.
