3 | +1 | +1 | +1 | +3 |
4 | +1 | +1 | +1 | +4 | *+1 to Force Caster Level
5 | +2 | +1 | +1 | +4 | Force Spell Mastery
Class Features:
Spells: The Force mage continues to gain spells and spells per day as though continuing to gain levels in its original casting class.
Caster Level: The force mage continues to advance in caster level normally.
Force Caster Level: The force mage casts spells with the force descriptor as though it were one caster level higher in addition to its normal caster level for each time it gains this ability.
Force Lore: All of the force mages spells containing the force descriptor are increased in effectiveness by 1 for each level of Force Mage. Thus a 5th level wizard/5th level force mage casting magic missile would deal 1d4+6 per missile.
Force Spell Mastery: At level 5 the force mage is capable of casting force descriptor spells as though they had no limits, so long as it increases the spells level by one half the number of caster levels that would bring this into effect if the spell had no limits initially. (I apologize for bad wording.) Thus a level 15 Wizard/5 Force Mage casting magic missile using a 5th level spell slot, would create 9 missiles, each dealing 1d4+6 damage. (Waste of a 5th level slot.) Or 12 missiles using an 8th level spell slot. This would be the limit however, as its caster level tops out at 23 at level 20. Meaning it could not increase the number of missiles against until it found a way to increase its caster level by another 2 up to 25. At which point it would max out the spell with 13 missiles using a 9th level spell slot.

By casting this spell the mage brings into existence blade that does not exist. This blade extends from the index finger of the mage and it the length of a standard longsword. This sword is made of pure force, and the caster is considered proficient in its use. This blade deals 4d6 damage at a range, and ignores bonuses to AC from Armor, Natural armor, and shields. It also ignores damage reduction, unless that damage reduction is versus force. If the target is immune to force based spells this spell has no effect on the target. The caster may strike any enemy within sight as a standard attack action for as long as this spell lasts, as the blade opens a dimensional rift such as that created by dimensional door. In melee it still has the above attributes. Attacking with this spell does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
Focus: A tiny platinum Masterwork Longsword, valued at no less than 500 gp.
