As an immediate action when you declare you're attacking, I will cast Stay the Hand from my scroll. [roll0] Assuming that passes, you need to make a DC 15 Will save or be unable to attack me for the remainder of the current round.

sorry to say, but casting from a scroll is always at least a standard action, (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167771&page=49#1465) so that won't work. Quite a bummer for my Cinder too

That's wrong.


Activating a scroll takes the same amount of time as the casting time of the spell stored on the scroll and provokes attacks of opportunity as spellcasting does.

huh, then Big K misremembered. Could you take that to the Waiting Room? I don't have Rules Compendium at hand right now and we'll need a Master Ref to overturn the wrong decision

edit: either way, you don't get your attribute modifier on scrolls, so the DC will be 12

If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular move. If you have the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, you can draw two light or one-handed weapons in the time it would normally take you to draw one.

I'm sceptical about the Travel Devotion movement qualifying as 'regular move'. I'd say the free drawing only goes for a move action

In the RC p.8 under 'Draw Weapon' - Move action.


If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you can
combine this action with moving your speed. Drawing
a weapon applies to any weaponlike item, such as a
wand, rod, or staff, within easy reach. An item that
is stored or out of easy reach must be retrieved as a
stored item. If you have the Two-Weapon Fighting feat,
you can draw two light or one-handed weapons in the
time it normally takes to draw one. Wands are light, and
rods are one-handed.

Going by this, I should be able to use my swift action to move and pull out the guns.

Hm, 'moving your speed' instead of 'regular move' in Rules Compendium... Very well, Travel Devotion should qualify by that wording. Go ahead, Sam Jones' turn
