It's going to be a magic system specifically based off of making Gishes.

It takes inspiration from both Incarnum and ToB, and will focus primarily on (if you can't guess) emotions.

Yep, an entire circle each of Lockdown (Terror's Shadow), Ally Buffing (Joy's Grin), Divination (Anticipation's Eye), Ambush fighting (Surprise's Herald), Debuffing (Sorrow's Tears), and of course, Wading the HELL into battle (Wrath's Flame).

Believe me, this will be interesting, as soon as I can transcribe what's in my head onto the intarwebs.

I'm still finalizing the mechanics; essentially, you get a set of Archanomachia.

Each Archanomachia type has a three-point-range spread; Simplest 1-3, Vivid 2-4, Unearthly 3-5, and Unrestrained 4-6. You can invest points into an ability within that range, thus giving an ability you either "hold" (which gives a stance-like benefit), or "release" (which creates a sort of strike/boost/counter analogue, and returns the points back to your basic pool.)

Another feature is that having multiple of a "Held" Archanomachia gives you extra benefits, based off the amount of "Held" Archanomachia of that type there are.

An example rough draft:

Unrelenting Gaeity
Unearthly Joy's Grin Archanomachia
Point Range:
4 (Release, Swift Action): Allies within 30' may make an extra attack at their highest BAB. (Multiple: Radius of the effect doubles for every 2)
5 (Held): Allies within 30' have their move speeds increased by 20', and cannot draw AoOs for movement. (Multiple: Allies within 30' can take a move action as a swift action 1/round if 2 or more)
6 (Release, Immediate Action): Allies within 120' are treated as if they were within 30' for all intents and purposes; they also gain a 50% miss chance.

Very simple example, with the power level all messed up; still, it showcases some of the features.

(To tell the truth, I basically want to have 2 Archanomachia of each level in each Circle, for 64 archanomachia in all; I'm going to need help with this, because I really don't have more than 6~7 ideas for Archanomachias... so... if anyone wants to pitch in and help after I finalize the rules, it would be duly appreciated.)
