HALO is located Under the Sea! However that doesn't mean you can't visit...
There are Shuttlepods providing arrivals and departures on a regular schedule.
There are no anti-teleport wards!
If you can't teleport yourself, there are Ring Transporters, which link (among other places) the Mall of Acronymia from Inside.

Important Note for Villains
Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say (Mind if I introduce a villain here?) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated.

The gloves will not move or make any attempt to influence Grant, just sit there. They do look to be about the right size for Grant's hands, though.

Grant takes out one of his books and uses it to try to detect magical properties and or curses on the gloves.

The gloves are magical, very magical, and seem to be sheathed in many different types of magical energy. The curse detection seems confused, as though they have multiple properties and only some of which can be regarded as 'curses', though less of those properties seem 'curses' than not.

Into the library walks Uther, carrying an impressive amount of books, journals, papers, all burnt or scorched to some degree. The poor scholar apparently didn't escape the fire unharmed either, and has first-degree burns all over his body and clothes, although they don't seem to be causing him too much pain and considering how tasteless his clothes are, it's probably for the best if they're destroyed. Um, pardon me, but would you happen to know anything about repairing books, would you? He asks Grant, sounding like he's been through a small war.

Grant says as he uses another piece of magic to narrow his definition of curses to negative effects to the wearer and those around him.

The gloves have only a few effects that have a negative effect on the wearer or those around them, though some of the effects have results that could be beneficial or not depending on what the magic does (that doesn't make sense much, but the magic is random and may have either a positive or negative effect, or even neither).

Well, yes, there's usually magic for such things, but where could I find it? Do you know how to cast this spell? Uther asks, sounding very concerned. After all, it would be an absolute tragedy if the books couldn't be repaired.

Well, seeing as all the books are non-magical, there's nothing to interfere with the spells. Meaning all but the worst damaged books are miraculously fixed! Uther quickly begins flipping through one of them to make absolutely sure none of the writing's been altered, and quite quickly seems to have entirely forgotten about both Grant and the gloves.
