Edit: Closed to get through the backlog! Likely to open again after. If you're desperate, message me.

Same drill as before, really; this time, just moved to a new city, feeling kinda displaced and can't draw anything worthwhile of my own, so I'd like to draw people's characters. :)

Examples:
DeviantART (http://pspynett.deviantart.com/)
From last time (http://learningextra.com/pspynett/pcsk/)

This time I'm happy to do full-body sketches, multiple characters, pretty much whatever you want to throw at me. :) Just give me as full a description of looks and personality as you've got and I'll see what I can do.

I have requested the same character being drawn a number of times of a number of artists but due certain circumstances it have never happened.

Hopefully this time will be different however.

This (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10432384&postcount=391) is the character I would like drawn.

Here (http://i431.photobucket.com/albums/qq40/happyturtle-avs/IF/creatures/cessie.jpg) are some other images of her.

And this (http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg254/Seweron/Tranquility_by_Maye1a-1-1.jpg). Not made of her obviously, but they kinda look like her.

I would be very grateful if you took on this.

That would be great! I really like seeing my own characters drwan in other styles!

Okay first one...Angela

Written description
She looks like a beautiful young woman in her 20s with her eyes always close and a pair of big, white wings on her back. She has weird marking on her forehead, just above her eyes, and a very long, pale blue hair. She dresses in a short, white and dark blue dress and oversized gloves. Also, she holds a big staff that glows with blue energy.

I'd like you to draw one of my characters, if that's fine.

Boris Krestyanov is a Russian sniper. He's tall and pale, with short black hair and gray eyes. He'd have a rather nice face, if the left side of it wasn't caved in from a gunshot wound.

His clothing is very neutral in colour, with black jeans and boots, a gray coat, and leather gloves. Alternatively, he'll be in a ghillie suit, or black combat uniform.

He almost always has his sniper rifle (a Russian VSS,) and ballistic knife on him. He may also have an Skorpion SMG holstered on his right hip.

If you decide to draw this, thanks in advance. If you need a link with some better (if dated) information, it's the green one in my sig.

Your drawings rock!

I don't normally ask for something like this, but if you're offering, why not? :D

Do you feel like drawing the coolest dark elf in the history of fiction? :)

Gorath, chieftain of the Ardanien, from the ancient game Betrayal at Krondor.

His tribe's animal motif is birds of prey (Ardanien="flying hunter"), if that inspires. :D

Appearance: Over six feet tall, broad-shouldered (this ain't a DnD elf >D), dark green eyes, slate black greying hair and a beard. A scar from his left temple down to his jaw, usually obscured by the hairline. References, including other artistic interpretations, can be seen here (http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp182/Brer/LP%20Betrayal%20at%20Krondor/Chapter%201/BAK-Ch01-0527.jpg), here (http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/5613/gorathbw.png), here (http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/6174/gorathcrop.png), here (http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/2756/gorath.gif) and here (http://crydee.com/files/fanart/gorath2_large.jpg).

Personality: Very stoic and reserved about expressing emotion (barring the occasional hint of a smile), solemn, generally serious, dry sense of humour, blunt, honourable and straightforward. Been through hell and back, but definitely not "brooding" or willing to voice a sound of complaint in a million years or even dwell that much on the past. Pragmatic and very rooted in the present. Also badass and nearly three centuries old, from a cutthroat and ruthless society where the weak are eaten for breakfast. I'll just stop there... >D

Cheers!

I like your work. I've been hoping to get this character drawn. Would be great if you'd like to.

So, on to the character. His name is Kirk Locke. He's a drow elf that's abandoned his home many years ago. He likes to think of himself as a ladies man, which could be considered accurate, if not all the time. First and foremost, he's self serving. He's confident to the point of being smug.

Now for the important bit, physical description.

Kirk of course has dark skin. It is a dark grey, nearly black. his eyes are red and glow slightly with a light not dissimilar to a flame's. his hair is cut pretty short, probably only extending halfway own his ears, and is white. His ears are pointed of course. Generally Kirk will wear a smile suggesting he knows something you don't and he enjoys that fact. Or a smirk, whatever pleases you. He is rather handsome, though still looking elvish.

As for his clothing. He wears a black suit most of the time. Simple black jacket that tends to be left open and black pants. The idea I was going for when I made the character was the Blues Brothers. Black suits, pants, and tie and a white shirt. He wears simple black dress shoes on his feet. On his head is an SRV hat (http://soul-to-soul.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/stevie-ray-vaughans-hat-painting.jpg). That particular one in fact, plume and all. Lastly is the sunglasses he wears. I'm pretty flexible for what they look like, though I'd prefer something with a thin frame. Perhaps like the non-oots avatar I'll put at the bottom of this page.

I'm not too picky about his pose. A casual stance would suit him well. I would prefer that he be looking over his sunglasses rather than have them conceal his eyes. He tends to be careful about looking through them after an accident involving their magic allowing him to see something he shouldn't have. Something of note might be his weapon of choice. He keeps no less than four throwing knives on his person at all times. They're concealed, but you could have him holding one. He's a skilled knife fighter, whether that's throwing them or using them up close and personal. I'll leave anything else to your judgement.

I also have a couple avatars of him, so I'll put them here for you to glance at.
http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx135/oots12321/KirkWithShades.png http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx135/oots12321/ByOthers/kirkglasses-1.png
They aren't exactly accurate anymore, but are fairly close as long as you take into account what I've mentioned previously.

Finally, here is a link to his character sheet (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9947543&postcount=305). It's in a bit of need of updating, but you might glean something for it if you'd like to take a look.

If you do end up drawing him, I'd like to thank you in advance.

Oh wow, nice! You do a great job conveying personality in the sketches- I'll have to look through the rest when I've got time. Long description spoilered- I wrote it partly to set everything down for myself.

Comedy/Tragedy
Female theatric bard, tall and thin, with long, straight black hair and pale skin. Facial features depend- described later. Outfit is typically a dark grey robe-like cloak, either hooded or not, of coarse material in place of the normal gaudy bard colors. Clothing underneath is dark, baggy, and non-revealing. Most often seen wearing a white theater mask, either comedic or tragic.

Com and Traj are actually two entities in the same body- if you're to believe them, the embodiments of theatrical comedy and tragedy. If you don't, they're a street-performer with delusions of grandeur.

Comedy is manic, energetic, and particularly fond of scathing insults or elaborate practical jokes. She's constantly moving, grinning, and talking, singing, or teasing. She is inspired primarily by Gilbert and Sullivan plays, with a little influence from "Punch and Judy." Her facial features, while lean, are softened by a grin.

Tragedy is meditative, reserved, and inclined towards philosophical musings or orations. She moves deliberately, and doesn't betray much motion beneath her cloak. Open emotion is generally reserved for acting characters in a play, but she will draw herself into an imposing cool anger when intimidating somebody. She is inspired by Shakespearean tragedies, with some elements of Greek tragedies included. Her somber expression makes her high cheekbones more pronounced.

The mask is a white theater mask that changes expression to suit which personality is out. Their eyes and other facial features are not visible through any holes in the mask. Alternatively, the mask's features may simply be painted on inset regions in black.

Feel free to draw Comedy or Tragedy, I would be happy with either. They rarely get involved in direct combat, but use either a whip or rapier. I have a lot of refs (http://beta.shukumei.org/~Tragedy) of them in their original canine form and as a modern human (at the bottom). You're welcome to pull mask details from any of the versions, and free to draw them in an acting role or something else you think fits.

Thank you, and have a nice day! (If you have any questions, you're free to pester me.)

Hihi.

I just remember the last time you did the drawings and I agai have to say Thank you for Eon. My friends in the same DnD groupe liked it very much.

I have started DM an own campain and I would request you to draw the groupe currently running the game.

I don't mind if you just draw one or a few. If you don't want I accept it.

The First:
Race: Halfelf female
Class: Sourceress
She wears the same clothes as her (http://media.photobucket.com/image/pathfinder%20sorceress/mrmythe/Pathfinder2_Sorceress03.jpg) only a bit more covering her body.
If you want it like last time. I would like her just having a dill pickle in her hand going to eat it. (She stole them from the lokal merchant to make a long story short)
Hope this is enougth .

Ne next one
Race: Human male
Class: Monk
This guy is 1,70m high, he has shor dark hairs, but its very rare that you see them. he wears some kind of Monk Robe most of the time and covers his face under the cap just a bit like the Hero in assasins Creed. the robe is white/grey with some red strings around the hip.
He also has a sketch book in hand where he draws near everything he sees and a book where he makes notes.
As his weapons he carries a templer sword and some shuriken.

Third one.
Race Human male
Class Rouge
this guy is some poor thief with bad times. He wears some leather clothes which he hides under Rags his short hair raise spicky to the air and his face is signed by small wounds. He is 5'8" high. As weapons he has a rapier and a dagger. on his back is a short bow and quiver with a few arrows.

Last one
Race halfOrc Female
Class Inquisitor

6'1" high she is the gratest person in the group wearing her Scale mail. in hand she carrys her short bow and on her back is a long sword. She wears this typical hat covering half of her face only revealing a broken fang while covering the other one.

I hope whese Informations help you to draw them if there are any questions just ask.

Oh and here a request for myself:

http://public5.tektek.org/img/av/1012/d28/1056/c05d532.png
he wears some strange dark clothes near all over his body they should have holes or be ct in some points, but never to big to reveal much of his body. He also should stand next to a copy of himself, while the copy is only shadow grey without other colors.

Thanks in advance!

Alright... Copied over from another character sketching thread which, alas, wasn't followed up beyond one drawing :smallfrown:

The first one, the game appears to have died unfortunately, so that's really just if you like the sound of it.

Eleusipa Thothervain and her noble steed, Laidepadaer
Small, slightly built elf, but quite strong.
Coldly beautiful, with fine features.
Pale blonde hair with blue and green streaks (longish - longer than shoulder).
Bright green eyes.
Armour... here we go. Plate armour. Figure-hugging. Has a sort of collar around the throat, but opens around the chest to show cleavage (I picture... a panel coming up on each side of her neck... Actually, you know what? I'll draw what I mean. See back here later). Has an armoured skirt that's suited for riding - I'm thinking flared hips and a split at the front and/or back to allow her to spread her legs (hurr hurr).
She rides a unicorn - a big, manly, grey-dappled unicorn with a long, sharp steel-grey horn. The unicorn has his own set of studded leather armour, and a pair of Horseshoes of Speed. And a saddle, of course. Also he's pretty jealous of her, and a bit in lust. Just, y'know, fyi.
Her main weapon is a lance, she carries a shield, and she also has a longsword and longbow. I haven't had any ideas on what any of these look like, so feel free to get creative. I'm thinking unicorny, maybe the lance could look like the unicorn's horn and maybe the shield could have a picture of a unicorn on it, but that's about it and I'm not set on those.
She's a Chaotic Good Paladin of Freedom, if that makes any difference.
This is roughly how I imagine her armour. Except, like, prettier. And generally better.
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/serpentine16/Art/armour-1.gif

Alwynn Gerwinaiko, Sorcerer/Swordsage
A middle-aged man, in his early 40s. But extremely good looking - lots of handsome with a dash of pretty. His wrinkles are mostly smile-lines around his mouth and the corners of his eyes.
Pure white hair, and a well-groomed white beard.
Eyes that range from ice blue to stormcloud grey depending on his mood, practically exploding with sparkles.
He's tall, straight with lithely muscled limbs.
He wears something like a Keikogi (http://fearlessmma.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/apparel-japanese-uniforms-kendo-gear-a-keikogi.jpg) of very fine silk the colour of the roof of the sky in late afternoon, delicately embroidered in intricate floral patterns the colour of forget-me-nots.
Over this he wears a plain grey cloak.
He also has large, white wings with a tint of pale blue, but they're generally hidden under the cloak.
He has a long, fine staff that is his weapon, his walking-stick and his arcane familiar.
One of his favourite tricks is to pretend to be old and bent and decrepit. When some thugs or whatever decide he'd make an easy target, he blasts them with a bit of magic. Then when they get close enough, thinking they've stopped him from using his magic and now he's an easy target... that's when he breaks their kneecaps with his staff.
Old, cloaked, or gloriously winged - or all of the above! - is fine if you want to do this guy.

I suppose if you wanted to do Serpentine and/or her brother Sinuous, that would be pretty amazingly cool, too:

http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h287/serpentine16/Avatarables/Serpentine/Sinuous-1.gif

[/copy]

There's also my old Sar'pynestae character from years ago... Haven't played her for ages, though, so here's what I remember:

3/4 elf, 1/4 succubus. She is tall and slender with very heavy bones*, beautiful but a bit unhinged and somewhat lacking in self-esteem. She has wild, bright red hair, eyes like Gambit (i.e. completely black except for a red iris) and cute little shiny black baby goat horns.
She is a Ranger (non-magic variant), wielding... shoot, what was it? Two swords, or swort and dagger? Two blades, anyway. She wears a set of leafweave armour with the split halves of a demon skull for the pouldrons(sp?) and demon ivory studs. She also has a tiny pet coral snake.
When she's not adventuring, she has a long velvety dark red dress and a fondness for fine jewellery.

*I miscalculated her weight, and she ended up weighing 200lb. I decided she just has demon bones.

I would be greatly obliged if you could draw for me, my dwarven detective and master of masks, Sven Strong-in-the-Head. He's a rogue, a diviner and a police officer with immense baggage from his youth. When he failed his friend, the badge and himself, and rather than facing jury he ran away to a big city, far away and picked up a new name and made himself a new life.

At work, he's the guy who finds all the clues, goes undercover and hits the bars for information, and it's okay. No one ever knows him, unless he wants them to, most of the time people just think they're talking to someone just like them, but that's just an illusion. When things go bad, and his cover is blown, it tends to work itself out. He's an expert in taking beatings and nasty spells. There are speculations that he can't be killed. (Thank you outrageous constitution)

He's very average looking, if that can be said about anyone. His face's only distinct facial features are that he looks banged up, but isn't that true about most people that get in harms way? Sven takes great care of his appearance, trimming his brown beard when needed and wears a leather trench coat wherever he goes. It has more pockets on the outside than inside, and that's saying something. On his back he keeps his trusty peacemaker, a crossbow, and a leather sap attached to his belt. Despite being a master of masks, he only has one. A lich's face, made from dead flesh and bone.

A character for a sci-fi setting: She's got short pixie cut red hair, tanned skin, and a rather slim build. She comes from a resource-poor and hazardous system, so she's not really had a good time of things. She's got out-of-system cybernetics as replacements for her eyes, and they come from a system that's very well off. This could manifest as either just fancy weird looking eyes, or a full prosthetic that replaced her eyes with goggle-like lenses and are very obvious instead.

A bit of a mechanic, gunslinger, and jill-of-all-trades, wears pants with plenty of pockets, a toolbelt/utilitybelt/bandolier kind of thing around the waist with a gun holster, and a thick jacket that's kept unzipped and open. Has a very obvious devil-may-care attitude toward things; if the prosthetics are of the more obvious/goggles variety, she's very expressive with her mouth for facial expressions to indicate her mood.

that work?

I would extra-ask for a picture of Alwynn if it's not too much trouble, though. There's depressingly few pictures of very handsome older men wielding staves...

I have two, both Exalted chars.

Azure Blade
A slender, elegant man, his gray uniform has been altered, adding in a number of pockets, each filled with a different tool. A set of goggles adorns his forehead and his hands are frequently coated in oil, grease and other substancess used in Warstrider repair. His pale, red hair is kept short, so it won't get caught in any machinery.

He's very lithe, wears goggles and what is basically a pilot's jumpsuit with a bunch of extra pockets shown in. He's a warstrider (giant, magical robots) mechanic/pilot. Hands are usually covered in grease occasionally has some on his face and he keeps his hair short, maybe 1-3 inches at most so it won't get caught in anything. He'd rather be working on a Strider than talking with people, usually spends all his off duty hours repairing his strider or that of a fangmate's, working on upgrades or fiddling with some little bit of magitech.

Guardian of the Triumphant Heavens
Northern european in features with golden eyes and medium length silver hair, usually kept loose, though its tied back when traveling or treating the injured. Clean shaven, and typically clad in lamellar armor, though other wise found in plain, simple clothes and bulky leather boots. A belt is cinched tightly around the armor's waist, and a thick cloak covers his torso and the lower half of his face. His armor's sleeves only cover up to his elbows and strips of cloth are wrapped around his arms and hands, each finger is individually wrapped.

Big, tough looking guy. He's soft spoken, but friendly. Despite the armor, sword and obvious physical strength, his chosen profession is as a traveling doctor. He keeps his fingers wrapped and face hidden for protection from the elements, and keeps himself clean as much as possible. When he has down time, he uses a small knife to whittle, something he enjoyed growing up on the family ranch.

That enough, or do you need more?

Well I could use some character art for Corrynn so if you're offering.. why not?

So you feel up for drawing an undead rogue'ish type? (Well streetfighter if we want to be very technical about it.)

His sheet can be found here: http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=310169

But if that doesn't work here's the written info on him.

For starters he's a dual wielder, one longsword, one short sword. And he's about 250 but died in his 30's so looks to be roughly around there, well except for the sickly/unnatural look. (He doesn't look obviously dead, just, wrong.)

Description:
Corrynn gave up any serious attempts at hiding his appearance long ago and will at the most pull the hood of his cloak up to hide his face somewhat and possibly put on a pair of gloves.

As such more than one person has found themselves a little unnerved in his company as it is fairly obvious something has happened to him, even if not everyone can tell what. He's of average height and looks somewhat gaunt, but death will do that to you. He has pearly white eyes, making it look like he doesn't have an iris at all and his shoulder length hair is equally white. Even his skin is sickly pale and feels far to cool and dry to the touch to be normal.

He prefers to dress in dark clothes and leather that allows maximum movement without making to much noise.

Personality/Background:
During his life and continued existence Corrynn has gone through more or less every 'archetype' personality a sane person could. He's been the loving husband, the detached assassin, the helpful stranger, the vengeful victim and quite a few things in between.

For a while he had a pretty good life. He had a job as a spy and assassin for the kingdom (avenger), a loving and understanding wife and plans for the future. But a war changed all of that, and one dark, twisted excuse of a priest in particular. The city he was living in was struck by a magic plague, Corrynns wife died, he himself survived, even if just barely. Once somewhat recovered he demanded to be allowed to go after the person responsible. But at that point they still didn't know who had cast the spell and his superiors managed to calm him down.

But this only lasted until the priest in question was found, Corrynn again was denied to opportunity to go after him, but he disobeyed the order to stay put and struck out on his own. Unfortunately he was good enough to find the priest without much trouble, and get to him, but he proved to be more difficult to handle than Corrynn expected, and while he managed to mortally wound the priest, the priest in turn managed to do the same to Corrynn and cursed him with his dying breath.

Corrynn died only minutes after, but came back as an undead. He tried going back, but was turned away both because of what he was he had done. He ended up roaming, occasionally finding places where he stayed for a while and retrained his skills, to something less delicate and more direct. He picked up quite a few tricks on the streets and even more when he started to adventure have something sensible to do with his time.
Over the years he stopped caring if the curse actually worked the way it was meant to or not, but he's also developed a more distanced view of the world, not caring to much what people think or about greater political or worldly events and instead focusing more on what's good for him and possibly the people he currently calls friends.

Sorry for the info dump, at this time of night it most likely makes much more sense to copy paste than write something new. ^^;

Oh, wow! Awesome! Your work is fantastic, I must say. Do you think I could bother you for one of my characters?

Appearance: She's the character I use for the forums- so, my avatar. A female goblin witch, complete with black hat and long-sleeved black surcoat. She's kind of gangly, with long, bare feet and hands. Her hair is brown, wild, kinda curly and comes to just past her shoulders. She has long claws, and is in early adulthood- the woman here (http://taklayyankovic.deviantart.com/art/At-Liverpool-Street-sketch-155274268?q=favby%3Atall-hobbit%2F10441935&qo=157) isn't her but would be a good reference, for the face and whatnot.

Personality: Loves being Lawful Evil. She shows affection by mocking/bantering with people, is very sarcastic and loves literature. She can go from perfectly amiable to 'wicked grin with hands glowing' mode almost instantly. Can be cold and calculating, or down right aggressive, but would comfortably drink tea/play chess with an established enemy, or discuss anything from books to the fate of the universe.

Edit: -The pose is completely up to you.
-Could I make a request for something odd? Everybody draws goblins differently, so.. may I ask for long, kinda bat-ish ears on her?

Is that enough?

So, a while back, a PbP group I DM for requested some drawings, but that never panned out. I was wondering if you could do it instead?

PC's

Alright, I'm in. I've got two characters, and you can do whichever you'd prefer, or both. :smallwink: First up is my character from the best game I'm in right now, Antal Nirum, a Halfling Factotum. His sheet is here (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=217778), but I'm also going to provide a condensed version of the important info:

General Description: Small in stature like any halfling, Antal has the usual curly brown hair, but isn't nearly as pudgy as many halflings. In fact, he's quite agile and in excellent shape, he's even stronger than a fair amount of humans.
Visible clothes/equipment: He wears baggy clothes, the better to hide something he's swiped, and they are dimly colorful (if that makes sense). His chain shirt could very well be visible though he wears it under most of his clothes. He also has on him a short sword, a kukri, and a smallish sack, which he keeps tied to his waist.
-snip-

Hey, that's a coincidence, I was just going to ask for a picture of my character that I play in the same game....

So, conaniscool, if you have the time and the inclination, could you drive my paladin as well? Sheet is here (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=217882)

And physical description (which is what I suppose you need the most):
Audric is a tall and big man, standing proud at about 6 feet. His gray eyes are bright, and often sparkle with amusement. His features are open and honest, hinting at a good-natured man. His hair is black, straight and cut short-ish, with a couple of rebel locks on his forehead. He is clad in armor and has a longsword at his side and a backpack on his shoulder.
He is a paladin of a sun god, so he would wear a silver holy smbol in the shape of a sun around his neck. Plus, he is the kind of person that prefer solving troubles by talking, so no overly martial stance :smallwink:.

Thank you very much in advance!

So, since you're awesome and Strawberries and Jallorn are already here from the game I'm in, too, I'll just jump on the bandwagon with a request:

Rana (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=217793) is a tiny (4'7") half-elf druid. She is quite beautiful, although her features betray her mixed parentage. The huge green eyes, golden hair, and pointed ears of her elven father is mixed with the wider face (although still slim) and high cheekbones of her human mother. She'd be wearing earth colors (and leather armor and a scimitar if in combat gear). Her animal companion is Shadow, an absolutely enormous jet-black wolf (3' at the shoulder, 6'6" from nose tip to tail tip).

I'd love pretty much anything with Rana and Shadow together. Three options I thought of would be hunting, sleeping curled up together, or if you're really ambitious, Rana halfway through wild shaping into a wolf with Shadow at her side, both snarling at whatever they're about to attack (this, of course, assumes that she will survive to next level when she'd get wild shape :smalltongue:), but I'm happy with anything that works for you. If you're really wanting to do characters holding hands, Rana and Audric (Strawberries' character) would be a possibility (with Shadow behind Rana giving Audric a jealous look), although I'd kinda prefer her alone. I'm sure that whatever you end up deciding to do will look awesome, though, so I'm not too worried about pose  Thanks in advance!

I just so happen to be the last player from that game with the evil cannibal sorceress. My character, Llaars Hayden (http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=218060), is the bartender/bouncer/brawler of the group and often injures himself while attempting something heroic, just as often resulting in heavy scarring. The tattoos on his shoulders are of a japanese-style sun in black ink running halfway down his bicep. The picture on the character sheet is fairly accurate to what I have in my head, but if I had to think of a real life example of someone who matches his build IRL it would be Dave Batista.

His clothing is usually pretty typical of lower class except when he's expecting combat soon and dons his horribly worn studded leather vest and greaves. He carries a longsword on his back in memory of his father, but has never landed a strike with it in combat so he usually neglects drawing it.

His fighting style is fairly unique in that it's a mix of brute force and acrobatics. He can usually be seen leaping off cliffs and over his allies with his arm pulled back, ready to strike. Let me know if I'm lacking description for anything.

So...yeah. Separate or together, posing or fighting or sitting down and talking around a table...anything goes, really. If you want to have them fighting something, undead are good, but better would be the local BBEG, who does experiments on hapless innocents and may be indirectly responsible for the upcoming murder of Antal's best friend...

-snip-
Now, the sorceress (minor spoilers ahead):

Iil'ssaran, as she calls herself, has spent the last year warping Irena Wainwright's body to match the way hers was in her prime: tall and regal, with high cheekbones, full lips, and thin eyebrows. Her hair is gently wavy, almost a midpoint between dark brown and auburn. The strains of magic means she looks older than she is-by the time this happens, there would be streaks of white hair at her temples and she'd have little crow's feet around her eyes and those lines down from the corners of her nose to the corners of her mouth.

She'd wear a mage's robe in shades of dark blue, and her magic is blue as well. If you can make her magic look greasy, that's even better: I've been consistently describing her magic as blue and greasy, to the point that it's become her trademark. Because I'd imagine that she is casting when you draw her, her eyes would be glowing blue, and you wouldn't be able to see her eyes behind the glow at all.

She's a necromancer, so an imperial-looking staff with a bone motif would be appropriate, and she'd be casting prismatic spray. The staff she's looking for is basically just a straight golden rod with a crystal orb on one end and a skeletal hand wrapped around the orb. The skeletal hand is hers, so if you could get it as close to the size of her hand as possible, that'd be great. And due to various backstory shenanigans, a cobwebby silver coronet like the one below would be very appropriate.

I love doing this, I currently have littlekKID's angel girl on the same page as Dark Apprentice's Russian sniper missing some face. It's so gloriously incongruous. xD Sorry for being slow at posting these, I should be able to post about five or six tomorrow, so stay tuned.

Ooh! Would you be able to draw my current campaign character?

His name is Dolan, he's a human male... about 5'10ish, brown hair, with a small ponytail in the back, his hair is parted evenly in the front. Wears cool-looking wizard robes (totally up to you) and has a spellbook. If you could do something with him holding his spellbook and perhaps performing magic in his other hand or something like that would be great!

EDIT: Oh! If I can add something before you draw, he has a badger familiar, and you can have him anywhere you think would look nice in the picture, thank you!

Well, you're being showered with requests, but once you're done with all the others, I would be very grateful if you made a drawing of a character of mine.

Dipsnig
He's a wiry, short goblin with a brown skin and gray hair that he keeps tied by a headband. He has pale red eyes - looks a bit like a cat's, with narrow pupils - large fangs and big ears. He tends to wear a leather jacket with a loose, sleeveless tunic over it, as well as trousers and soft boots that are good for sneaking. In addition, he's got two belts - one around his waist and one slung across his shoulder. He keeps crossbow bolts, knives, vials of posion and other nasty substances and lockpicks in them. His weapons are a heavy repeating crossbow and a pickaxe. He also has a few knives at hand most of the time.
In terms of personality, Dipsnig is greedy, pessimistic, grumpy and generally unpleasant.
Also, he keeps a wolf mount around that also acts as his pet and companion. Viima, for that's the female wolf's name, is a big animal and her fur is silver-colored with a black streak along her spine. She's smart and friendly.
Obviously, he's my current avatar - feel free to use it as a reference point since it's pretty much spot-on.
Thanks in advance.

Name: Doc

Apperance: A brown toned mummy, with a suit case, with a red cross and medic equipment.

Pose: On left knee, left halfways facing the viewer. Left hand holding the suit case, touching the ground. Right hand lifted, holding a surige, spraying some liquid up in the air.

Oh hey, look who's rapidly trying to jump into the queue before it's too late!

I'd be eternal grateful if you could draw my main FFRP character, the infamous(?) KR.

KR

http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KRcoat.pnghttp://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KRCasual.pnghttp://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KRnew.png
http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KRsig-1.png

Description: A woman completely un-intimidating and utterly non-threatening in size, measuring only 5'2" off the ground, and... well, that's about it, really. Everything else about this woman seems to spell your doom writ large. The fierceness of her East Asian features in particular would warn any intelligent onlooker of a woman used to getting her way, as would her supreme self-assuredness of being, her commanding presence capable of cowing even the bravest warrior faced with her fearsome countenance. Maybe it's this trait which let her, completely by accident, mind, become the official leader of WATCHTOWER... an organization which doesn't even have an official leader. :smalleek:
Not that she would have had it any other way. She's not about to let anybody else mess up her job... which they would have, on account of not being her. Oh, and in case the height threw you off and you're picturing some sort of Summer Glau-ish figure, some stick-thin waif fond of high-kicks and backward flips. Nope. Not only could KR snap your limbs like dry noodles (hyperbole... we think...), she actually looks it too. She's not a body-builder, by any means, but she's noticeably muscular, much more than your average lady. ((Sarah Connor (http://www.cinemaisdope.com/news/films/t2/t2.jpg) makes a good reference, I think.))
Combined with her boyishly short spiky hair, and a slight wideness of the jaw, an unfortunate soul might mistake her for a man at a distance. That always ends well. KR's sensitive about these things. :smallfrown: Also because I couldn't find a way to weave it into the narration she also has a jagged scar on the right side of her chin that reaches more or less to her cheek, and looks like it might have been caused by an abnormally large insect (how someone would be able to tell I have no idea).

Clothing-wise, KR's tastes run more towards the practical than the pretty, for both fighting in and building giant killer robots in. A grey tank-top, black pants and boots are most common. The boots are usually plain, combat type boots, but she also has a pair of fancier red dragonscale boots given to her as a gift, which she sometimes wears. Easily her most distinctive fashion choice is a heavily enchanted red, military-style greatcoat (http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/images/product/main/GREY-GREAT-COAT.jpg). It's fireproof, waterproof, lightning proof, shrapnel proof, bulletproof (mostly), magicproof (kinda), laserproof (okay, not really), and has a variety of very inner large pockets in which she keeps her stuff. You have not known fear until you have seen an enraged, tiny Asian woman pull a rocket launcher out from the insides of her coat.
Of course, how you'd include the rather concealing greatcoat, and her impressive build in the same drawing is beyond me.
Maybe a pose with it on and one with it off? :smallconfused:
Anyway. Important note: KR, never, ever wears a dress. Ever. No, not even then.
...
Okay that was a lie. (http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x280/kriskatarn/KRAodai.png)
But as she is so helpfully informing me, with a rather large gun pointed at my head, it was
A. For a wedding, and
B. An Šo dŗi, not a dress, and so it doesn't count.
...
Frankly, I'll accept it. :smalleek:

Sometimes she uses a sonic-screwdriver like LASER POINTER, or wears sunglasses with terminator-style readouts.

Her classic weapons, however, would either be a dual-barreled sniper rifle (the top barrel shoots bullets, the bottom barrel shot web shoots laser), or else an abnormally large blaster pistol, which vaguely resembles Deckard's gun from Blade Runner, if it had sex with Hellboy's Samaritan, then the resulting baby swallowed Seargent Shlock's Plasgun.

Personality wise, KR is rather... inconstant. Being a 3 year old in a 20-something year old's body (long story*) tends to do that to you. Most of the time she likes to project an aura of stoicism and impartiality, but sometimes things just really get under her skin. Or excite her. Or make her sad. Utterly random things sometimes, as anyone who knows a 3 year old can attest. Prone to frequent, and unpredictable moodswings, they are.
Her predilection for MAD SCIENCE does not help in the slightest.

*Okay not really. Short version: she was an assassin robot named KR-15 who was given a human body by an omnipotent god-killing abomination. Obviously, she's not quite used to her newfound emotions just yet - and is in no way capable of expressing them in a healthy manner as most people are, tending to flip-flop between rigid, mechanical self-control, to random outbursts of violent emotion. That'll change with experience, hopefully.

Uh... I think that's it. If you want anything else, please ask.

Amazing. Thank you so much! :) The robe was unexpected to see - the character is very much an armour person in my eyes - but a good kind of unexpected. I particularly like the face, and the... determined? grumpy? contemplative? pose is very evocative. I especially like the right hand. The somewhat stylised bird of prey is amazing, as well.

Since you were nice enough to do this, is there anything I could draw for you?

Sorry, probably a good point about the robe - a couple of references had him in a cloak and I guess I misinterpreted. Maybe it's his dressing gown? :D Glad you like, in any case. Just had a look at your DA (and watched you), your work is absolutely gorgeous. <3 Hmm... Background

Magdi is a first level goblin bard. She's 36 which is two years below the "old" age category for goblins in our campaign but as her level shows, she's not exactly a skilled adventurer. The campaign started with the northern capital of the country being levelled by giants during a peace festival. Magdi survived because she was leading a pony at the time of the giants' arrival and the pony bolted at the noise, dragging Magdi along with it. After that she hid in a hole in the rubble for several hours and didn't come out until she heard a fellow survivor crying the next day.
Magdi has lived in Sunpeak Spire (the city destroyed by the giants) for almost 30 years and hasn't really come to terms with what's happened yet. She made her living before the disaster by doing odd jobs and running errands as well as the odd street performance and unofficial city tour. Her favoured instrument is the shawm, although she has lost hers by the start of the campaign. Magdi considered her main duty in life to be looking after her mother, who died of natural causes two years ago, since then she's felt a bit lost but has kept going. She's light hearted in general, hates seeing people miserable or in discomfort but isn't especially brave. She is both curious and interested in learning but her attention span tends to be short. She also strongly dislikes confrontation and when offended she tends to disappear for a few days.

Appearance

It's fairly apparent from sight that Magdi's no spring chicken. She definately has wrinkles although how many are from age, how many from laughing, how many from too much time spent outdoors and how many from poorly concealed stress is hard to tell. Her hair isn't any one specific colour but it's generously streaked with silver and white. The rest of it's fairly nondescript, probably brown, although it has gold glints in it in strong sunlight. Regardless of colour, the hair is thin, flies in every direction in the wind and occasionally comes off on the furniture if people let her indoors. Length and cut wise, it's about down to her shoulders and she has a full fringe.
Her skin is a very yellow shade of orange and her enormous eyes are a dark burnt orange. She has a relatively wide, short face and her protruding ears are not unlike a bat's, but not quite like a bat's either. Her nose is relatively flat.
She wears leather armour but this isn't immediately obvious as she's judiciously bundled up for protection against the elements, wearing both a woolen coat and a hand knitted hooded cloak. The cloak is a well worn garment knitted many years ago by Magdi's mother, it's predominately rust coloured with occaisional ripples of a violently bright lime green. She also sometimes wears a long indigo coloured cap but she's worn holes in her mittens now to the point that they're not much use.
She weilds a whip and often has it coiled and held in one hand if she's nervous and has also been known to trail it behind her as she's walking which comforts her for some reason.
Blodwyn, the pony she was leading when the giants attacked, looked like a piebald Shetland and was known for being somewhat temperamental but usually quite obliging, rather like Magdi herself. She is/was a pack pony belonging to the owner of one of the city's more popular inns and doesn't need to be in the sketch, just mentioning what she looks like so you had the option of including her if you wanted.

Hope that's not too much/ too little information.

The campaign's play by post and run on the forums but as it's 13 pages long (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200859) now and there's not really any physical description of Magdi in it I can't see you needing to check in on it unless you're extremely dedicated to reading up on characters. There's a link in the first post to the out of character thread which has Magdi's backstory in it but again there's not much physical description there.

I don't have a deviantArt account that I use but I do draw a bit so if you think of another character you'd like to see somebody else's interpretation of when you get round to my request I'd be happy to draw something back...

Reposting in case you missed this.

Welp, gotta ask somewhere.

Rezeteil: God of Courage and Destruction. (Many people OUGHT to catch the reference.)

Description:

The man before you is determined and focused, if not overly bright. His glittering eyes are like two burning embers. His golden hair flows like a mane down his back, a trait that some mock, but he believes show cases his spirit. His voice has a musical quality to it, a trait possessed by many gods, but his resounds with a soprano tone, something a little unusual for any man, let alone a God of Destruction. He has scars on his hands that wrap up along his arms merging with other scars all over his body. His outfits are comfortable, and he has a thing for plunging necklaces, and banded armor with large buckles. He usually wears several necklaces, trophies from previous victories. Though on formal occasions he will forgo the multiple necklaces in favor of a jeweled crest. The only other ornamentation his outfit bears is a large emerald green blade in a bandaged sheath at his side.

Personality:

Larger than life in his exploits, and his boisterous bragging. He is what some would call a braggart, his indomitable will also tends to make him rather stubborn. Quick to anger, but just as quick to calm down, he enjoys playing games with people, often challenging a man to a duel only to later offer him a helping hand. And while he may be a God, he is just as prone to mistakes as man, and he is willing to recognize this, hence why his white hot fury is so easily tempered by the waters of remorse, or the icy sting of guilt.

It is reeeealy against my better judgement and fear of annoyance to do this, but i currently have a one-armed hyper-strong female bugbear pounding on the inside of my head asking for an appearance. Seesh, and i thought she was the calm one.

Blah blah blah pointless backstory.
Arttin Redfir (The Protector) Is a one-armed female bugbear of the Redfir tribe in the Sowidi Rainforest. Many years ago when she was but a small child, Arttin found herself separated from her group while out learning the ways of hunting. She was not afraid however, and spent several hours wandering the jungle, admiring its beautiful flora and fauna to no end. At some point, she came across a large adult Owlbear feeding on a recent kill, unsure of what the beast was, Arttin inched herself ever closer to get a better look. She must have stepped on a twig or entered it's range of vision however, as the next thing she knew, the gargantuan creature had her pinned to the ground with a single massive claw, and was already helping itself to a beak full of the bugbears arm. Arttin screamed in a mixture of terror and pain, alerting the entire rainforest of her location. Fortunately for her, a group of the tribeís members and their Elvin allies had already gone searching for her, and a single arrow pierced the Owlbear's eye as it was about to close its beak around the childís head, quickly followed by a strange mixture of bugbear and Elvin warcrys. After the battle with the beast was over, the child was taken back to the village and examined by the tribeís healer. Sadly, the majority of Arttinís right arm had been torn off and eaten by the beast before she was saved, and what little remained was likely to become infected. With the tribe lacking the proper magic to prevent such, the entirety of the stump was removed, leaving nothing but flat torso along Arttin's right side.

It was assumed Arttin would grow to spend the rest of her life fragile and lame, refusing to accept this; the girl spent every day of her life training with her remaining arm, growing to become the tribeís strongest member soon after reaching adulthood. The event with the Owlbear however left Arttin even more scarred then her initial appearance would let on, the trauma of the attack left the powerful woman mentaly scarred for life, and absolutely terrified of all things Owlbear, the mere mention of one often leaving her in a panicked state, and the vision of one, even if only an image, leaves Arttin absolutely paralysed in fear.

Blah blah blah personality.
Arttin spent her entire life proving to the world how powerful she can be, even when missing the entirety of her right arm, Because of this; she has a strong sense of determination, and a belief that any handicap, no matter how large or small, can be overcome with enough effort. Arttin is also particularly protective of those she cares about, particularly children due to her understanding of how vulnerable a child can be and feel. This trait, along with her habit of staying near the younger tribe members during times of trouble earned her her second name of "The Protector", which she holds in high regard and strives to live by.

Aside from her protectiveness and occasional panic attacks, Arttin is a very calm individual, and can often be found sitting under a particularly shady tree either practicing an Elvin-taught meditation technique, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. It is due to her strength, determination and strong focus that Arttin chose to take up monk levels when she decided to become an adventurer.

Actual appearance bit:
Race: Bugbear
Age: 17 (Adult for a bugbear, Iím guessing approximately 27 by human terms)
Gender: Female
Profession: Monk
Description:

As i have said before, Arttin is a female bugbear, Iím not exactly sure how "endowed" she is, but she should have a very muscular build, particularly in her remaining arm. (Left one, very strong due to tons of one-armed body pushups and the like.) Preferably fur distribution would be head-to-toe such as in these (http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/9767/bugbearme.png) three (http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/9052/femalebugbear1.png) examples (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/member.php?u=49600) (None of them Arttin mind you, simply other members of her tribe) I would mention that the fur is a bright red colour, but these images are not coloured, so I will not bother you with that. Hairstyle Iím not so sure of, Iím thinking either short, shoulder-length, or bald (Or possibly buzz-cut ish, though that wouldn't really display her being a female very well would it?) Just go with whatever you think looks good, but still manageable, nothing too long, she wouldn't want it getting in her way while she is fighting after all.

She also has a small bundle of feathers taken from the Owlbear that crippled her tied around her left arm, somewhere just below her shoulder i think. And she wields one of these (http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/9/exoticweapon4.png), though for the sake of the art you don't need to draw that.

Other then that, i can't really think of any distinguishing features for her, so feel free to go nuts on possible scars and the like. Whatever you feel suits her.

As for pose, Iím thinking either A. sitting under a tree meditating, B. punching a guy in the face, or C. doing pushups. Or again, whatever you feel would work best.

Again apologies for the post, but when you have a few dozen characters living inside of your head, when one of them wants out, they make sure they get noticed. Take your time with it, there is no need to rush. Feel free to ask me anything else about her that you might need.

Sorry to keep people waiting, these are ending up being in completely random order! Right now I'm only using a camera for upload (you can probably tell) and loads of the photos keep turning out blurry, so I'm only sticking up the good ones at the moment and retaking the rest with better light tomorrow. xP Just moved and don't have my scanner on me, so laaaame.

Also, if you've requested like half a dozen things I'll likely only draw one or two for now then do the rest after I've gotten through the list. :] Seems fairer that way!

Ooo, I has a request!

My character is a kobold named Bobby, who just happens to be a girl (I had flipped a coin for gender). Anyway, she's a kobold rogue who is pretty adept at the use of a rapier. The Rapier is masterwork, as is the chain shirt she is wearing, so if it's possible, these can appear shinier/fancier than normal items. She also likes to work with rope, and generally has a good coil of silk rope with her at all times. Another thing she usually has with her is a bottle of rum. I think the last thing in the manner of appearance is her reddish skin tone. As for her eyes, I'll just go with whatever you think would look best on a lizardy person. Thank you for your time.

And if it matters, she has an Italian accent. I guess if she were a guy, you could've added a mustache. Alas, t'is a coin flip away.

Edit: Two darkwood bucklers too, one on each arm.

The staff might be a bit fancier than that - it's his primary weapon and his familiar - but no worries. Thanks! Do you have any objections to me getting this coloured?
Heh... I wanna post this in the thread of the game he's in, but it has spoilers :smalltongue:

Off-topic, sort of: I was looking for the old sketch of Soehys in the directory place, and I found a sketch of Sabriel.

That's fine, glad you like! :D And yeah, sorry, I'm lazy when it comes to fancy stuff.

Eeesh, don't look in that directory, it's full of three years of junk. xD And wow, no idea how old that sketch must be, I've not drawn her for ages. Hmm. I should drum up some people for an Old Kingdom RP. o-o

Keiji Yomogi
Appearence:
Yomogi is possessed of the inky skin and white hair of his dark elf father, though the horns of that fey people do not grace his forehead (weird campaign setting). He wears his hair pulled back in a topknot. His forehead is high, made higher by the very beginnings of a receding hairline, and kinked by care lines. His brow is not prominent, but it too is kinked by those same lines. His eyebrows are sparse. His eyes are maroon, and wide. His nose is long, straight, and narrow, with a rounded rather than a pointed tip. His cheeks are somewhat hollow, and his thin-lipped mouth usually frowns. To hide this, he has grown a white van dyke beard. Anthony Ainley's face is quite close to Yomogi's, excepting skin and hair color, and hair style.

Yomogi wears the garb of an Ikairen noble. His kimono is dark grey with black trim, bound with a dark yellow obi around the waist. Over this goes a black-and-red-patterend hakama which falls nearly to the floor. On his shoulders Yomogi wears a black haori with dark red trim, which falls almost to his knees. His toe socks are black, and his sandals are dark leather. On his right hand he wears two rings, both gold. The ring on the middle finger bears a diamond, the one on the ring finger a ruby.

On his left hip he wears two fine-looking katanas in well-crafted scabbards. The tips of the scabbards are decorated with a stylized cockerel comb. On his right hip he wears a strange-looking dagger. Its blade is very thick, almost pyramidal, and its tip is barbed. Its pommel looks like a funnel meant to be fitted over a waterskin. In his right hand he carries a polished wooden staff with a ring on the bottom and key-like protrusions on the top. Around his neck he wears two jade charms about four inches long each.

Personality:
Keiji is a worrier and a perfectionist, desperate to prove himself to himself. The favor of Fureja, the love of his family, the support of his friends are not enough for him, compared to what he can see about himself. He takes what comfort he can in ruling well, but it is too impersonal. He sees the fight against the Endless Winter that is approaching as a way to improve himself as well as safeguard the world, but is troubled by the continued elusiveness of his brother.

Despite, or perhaps because of his preoccupation, the people do look to him for leadership. He is a powerful sorcerer, and can be very inspiring. It was thanks to his setting up the Council system, and to his words, that Wormwood was evacuated with as little loss of life as there was. He is also a loving husband and father, despite his not being redeemed by them, and has shared with his wife his darkest secret, one he has not shared with his closest friends.

Background:
Early Life
Yomogi was born Okawa Keiji, and despite since taking his personal name for the name of a new house, prefers to be called "Keiji" by his friends. House Okawa used to figure prominently in the politics of downriver Tokei, but have since lost most of their influence. It was foretold that a son who "stood at the crossroads" would restore them; the last patriarch, Okawa Shinji, Keiji's father, thought this meant he would be of mixed blood. The elder son, Takeshi, is half high elf, while Keiji's mother was human. Both sons were talented magic-users (Keiji a sorcerer), though Takeshi learned how to channel the leylines' power more quickly and easily than Keiji, and was favored by their father. Takeshi, when he was old enough, departed the Okawa estate, determined to rebuild the family's influence in Tokei. There, unbeknownst to Keiji, he undertook to manufacture drugs for the crime boss Lam Gaeto. On a visit to his brother's Tokei townhouse, Keiji found evidence suggesting he'd been dragged off and murdered, and pieced together his connections to Lam.

Tokei
United with other victims of Lam by a mysterious patron, Keiji went to his pier headquarters. The criminal's organization was routed, though before he died Lam revealed that Shinji had been working for him as well, and that Takeshi was alive. Shortly thereafter, Keiji was almost arrested in the streets of Tokei because he looked very much like his brother (he didn't have the beard then, and they wore the same livery). The guard captain explained that the entire Okawa bloodline had been declared anathema by the Daimyo of our province, Fureja, thanks to Takeshi's use of forbidden, tainted blood magic, and that all but Takeshi and Keiji had been executed, but that she would look the other way if Keiji hunted Takeshi down. Keiji agreed, and came close twice, though he never actually encountered Takeshi before the guard captain was found out and executed, and Keiji had to flee Tokei. In the days after being told his brother's misdeeds, Keiji dreams of a snowscape where his brother stands by a kindly old man, and beckons him into the white.

Exile
The party resolves to go to the capital, but it's a long and dangerous journey by foot. Tokei has a train station but it would be unwise to board it while the heat is on. So they plan to walk to the next town on the line, Ainan, and board it there. On the way they pass through a town destroyed by monsters, and a group of adventurers from the neighboring, and hostile, Empire of Vyte scoping out the place. The groups team up to survive, and are able to make it out alive. In the church, they discover a tapestry strongly reminiscent of Keiji's dream, along with an axe called the "Flower of Winter" and the inscription "The Father of Winter comes". They know not what to make of this at the time, but proceed onward to Ainan. They are able to secure first-class train tickets, and board the Occidental Express to Iksuo, the provincial capital.

However, a prominent general, a veteran of the war with Vyte, is murdered on the train, and nobody is able to determine the suspect before it derails and crashes outside the garrison town of Carrion Hill. The town sits behind the frontier of the war and is a major staging point. However, it is being plagued by attacks from an eldritch creature from underground. Keiji and the others track it, and learn that it was summoned by a group called the Keepers of the Eldest, and that it must kill them all to cross over completely. They go to the house of one of the two remaining Keepers, and kill him just before the creature arrives. Desperate, Keiji uses the Keeper's summoning circle, to bind a bearded devil to help fight the creature. They prevail, but the devil hasn't forgotten.

The group finally arrives at Iksuo, and begin to live their lives. Another party member's son had gone questing for an heirloom of the Daimyo's, a sword, and he's waiting for him to ship it back. On the day that it arrives, he goes to the monastary to which his son sent it, only to find the monks dead and the sword stolen by a rival Daimyo, one who was on the Occidental Express. He goes to Fureja, our Daimyo, who, impressed by reports of us at Carrion Hill, tasks us with bringing it back. The search leads to a sunken city controlled by another eldritch horror, but the other Daimyo is killed and we retreive the sword, among other artifacts. Fureja grants each of the party members boons for returning her heirloom to her: to Keiji she grants absolution, the right to form a new House, and rulership over the town of Wormwood. It is here Keiji changes his name to Yomogi, and takes his first name as the name of his House. Fureja also launches a war to take control of the dead Daimyo's lands.

Wormwood
Keiji sets up a council system to govern Wormwood. He would convoke the captains of industry, such as they are, and one of their employees each to influence decisions. When he is around, Keiji is usually able to dominate the Council, but it controls the town when he's adventuring. The party exorcises a daemon from one of a prominent merchant's daughters, and discovers the cure for an illness it had been spreading (this cure's manufacture becomes a major industry). However, the town is soon beset by greater dangers. A shadowed version of Faerie, led by its Queen, threatens to tear the planar boundary and invade, requiring the party to counterattack, kill the Queen, and seal up the gate. They do, and Keiji manages to get to her without fighting her powerful consort with a promise of marriage once the Queen is dead, but the Queen manages to drop Keiji before dying herself.
He appears before the devil he had summoned, and accepts a deal whereby he trades his life for his soul. Once the group leaves that plane, Keiji sets up a summoning circle in his house and binds the devil there for extended periods of time, preventing him from being killed in hell. He does this so that when the time comes, he can travel to hell himself and kill the devil, reclaiming his soul.

Throughout, the days have been getting shorter, and it is finally discovered why. An old god of winter, the old man from Keiji's dream, is waking up. Worse, it's turning native creatures into its own spawn. The party goes on an expedition to one of its nexuses of power, and manages to defeat its guardian, but learns that an invasion force, led by a powerful converted dragon, is bearing down on Wormwood. Most of the civilians manage to evacuate under the cover of an exploding planar seal, but the town is lost to winter.

War
The refugees return to Iksuo, but Fureja can't offer aid. The war's going badly, and she needs the party to lead her armies. After proving themselves in an attack on an outpost, the party assaults the former capital of the contested province, allowing other parts of the army to detonate what amounts to a neutron bomb, killing everyone inside. The party's forces then make their way to the sea to secure the coast for Iksuo, and drive the defenders off the tower/platform they had been holding. However, the sea rises around the platform, and the army is decemated as it fights to hold it against the creatures of the deep. They do hold out in the end, however, and Keiji is given lordship of the province, under Fureja. In the two years which follow, the days grow shorter still, but Keiji is focused on rebuilding, creating good government, and caring for his wife and twin infant sons. The story has just reached the point where the province is rebuilt.

requestion a sketch of a newly created, marginally insane character:

Appearance-
Cathleen seems like a very normal girl when first seen. With a pale complexion and red hair proclaiming her heritage to the misty isles, her thin stature gave her an aura of frailty and innocence that of a porcelain doll. When looking deep into her eyes, however, that visage soon shatters. Those dull brown orbs tell a marvelously dark tale of loneliness, misplaced emotions, and a deep hurting scar that will never come out until the day she dies. These things are rarely seen though, as her eyes are almost always concealed by her long red hair that give the rest of her face a certain mystic to it.

Her clothing is a simple attire, almost always concerning of an oversized white sweatshirt, a small coat of arms present on the left breast cut into four squares with the first two holding the lightest of grey and the others holding a dark mustard yellow color, a mighty elk head adorning it the front with its antlers striking out proudly. Almost indistinguishable words can be found under this crest, reading 'Angels Above, Demons Within'. With this sweatshirt she also wears baggy cargo pants, a deep army green and seeming to holding something in each of its pockets, and on her feet are black sandals which she wears only because of regulations involving staff and the requirement of shoes. Around her neck is a dull silver locket, obviously very old and possibly valuable, given to her by her eldest sister. It is in the shape of an angular heart and inside is a picture of them and their siblings, all smiling together.

Pose/Stance/Disposition-
I would prefer getting a full body shot but if this would prove to difficult than anything that reviels her choice in lower garment would be acceptable as well. The pose would be her facing the viewer, slightly facing her right, her head slightly downcast and clutching her hands together at the front of her waist and her legs toucing together. Her body should be hunched over slightly. Her eyes should be seen but not completely by covering her eyes with strands of her hair.

She is to be holding back several emotions, her eyes showing a blank, broken look with dark circles around her eyes while a shy smile permiates her face. Basically she should look like shes shuddering, ready to either cry or kill someone but trying to mask it and look 'normal'

Is this enough information? I can think of more if this seems at all vague

Might I ask for a drawing of my character.

He dressed like this. http://www.bigapplecostumes.com/servlet/the-9968/Costumes!-Roaring-20's-Carnival/Detail along with wearing a red and white striped cloak usually keeping the hood down. He has a bamboo cane sword and a belt lined with bags of holdings. He's around 6 feet tall has no facial hair and a incredibly long brown hair that he keeps up in a bun hidden under his hat. Looks to be around 23 but with a few small wrinkles around his hazel eyes. He wears white fancy gloves and is pretty thin. Also he keeps two revolvers on his belt with wooden handles.

Think you can handle it?

Sure, I would love to see more versions of my people embodied.

edit: ah yes. the spoiler tag. the forum equivalent of the lj-cut.

Here's a few characters I would LOVE TO SEE in action with each other. I have lots of sketches of them independently (included) and reference photos, (and plenty of other characters) but I'd like to see a particular scene that includes this set.

My story, ps, is a an epic-length high fantasy satire called "Happily Ever After." (Satire, not parody. Not overtly funny, more of a subtle "oh god I just realized the joke is on me.")

John Darcy the Younger, "Call me Johnny." - Prince Charming. Crown Prince of Umbrae. About 6'2, caucasian, 21, athletic but not bulky, golden brown hair and eyes, disgustingly handsome ("the jaw" and "the hairdo" and "the dazzling smile" - you know what I mean.) Early medieval costuming, like a Norman Knight circa 1100. He's charming but self-centered, a politician to the core. He doesn't really care about you, but he's not Evil - if anything he's True Neutral. Like any celebrity, he just doesn't have the hours in the day to care about everyone who wants a piece of him. Sure, he wants the best for his country and his people, and also his creature comforts, and some hot naked chicks and some glory. He's young and arrogant, but he's also really *good* at everything he does - as obnoxious as he can be, when you need someone to Defeat The Ancient Evil, he's your man. His tagline: "It's just politics."

Edmund Darcy - The Evil Younger Brother. Prince of Umbrae. About 5'11, porcelain white, 17, scrappy, green eyes and dark brown hair. Longer, pointier features, pretty in an almost girly way. Evil Villain Beard. Nervous, feline, feral. Edmund is sarcastic, sneaky and defensive. No one likes him but Johnny (and Teagan) and he is Johnny's codependant bitch. He serves as scapegoat for all of Johnny's less savory political endeavors and comes back for more. Hyper-intelligent and observant, a very competent but under-appreciated fighter, emotionally steamrolled by Johnny's sphere of glory until Johnny's death nine years later. Tagline: "I'm not a goddamn hero. I'm just the Tomcat of Umbrae."

Brigaed Ae'llewyn - The Disney Princess. Princess of Rhae'llor. About 5'8 (tall for a girl, yes), Nordic, 14, freckled, long blonde curls. Intelligent, courageous, entitled, sheltered, and naive. Her mother died when she was young, and so she's been running wild around her father's court with the authority of a princess and no one to tell her that her headstrong ideas are not going to get very far in a brutal patriarchal world without any finesse. She has a teenager's girly "OMG THE BEATLES" type crush on Johnny, and is totally unprepared for the fact that he's expecting a much more sophisticated, worldly bride. Tagline: "I am not a child!" (response: "Then cease to act like one!")

Teagan of Duck's Crossing - (Teagan is a supporting character, and does not fit into the perfect trifecto of the above characters. He has his own archetypal-pairings in his own subplot, but I mention him because he's in this scene.) An Aquesi courtesean calls him, aptly, Mon Jolie Chevalier. (My Pretty Knight.) About 5'10, "very Rhae'llorean" (Nordic in appearance), 18, beardless and baby-faced, blonde and blue-eyed, sunny disposition. Teagan is the youngest son of a backcountry Arcian Thegn, forever trying to prove himself on his own merit when no one will take his heritage, age, or appearance seriously, now newly the Knight Commander General of Umbrae. A career soldier and brutal killer, but people usually assume he's some bootlicking courtier because of his pretty face. His elderly, racist, homophobic father just disowned him for being "Too Rhae'llorean" - too fine, too fancy, too blonde, loyal to the wrong king and the wrong gods. The Umbraen princes (Johnny and Edmund) know him, trust him, and keep advancing his career, so he sticks very close to them, which puts him in an extremely awkward position when they turn on each other.

I really should explain a piece of political history here. Sixty-six years ago, Imperial Rhae'llor-Umbrae ruled the conquered province of Arcy, amongst other things. Aeden Ae'llewyn, the Jarl of Umbrae decided there was no reason he couldn't be a king in his own right, and seceded from Rhae'llor, creating the Kingdom of Umbrae. He married Elizabeth D'Arcy, only heir to the traditional Arcian rulers, and took her name to consolidate his claim (Anglicizing it to Darcy.) This led to forty years of Rhae'llor-Umbrae civil war, only ended at the start of my first book. It's been four generations. Johnny and Brigaed are actually third cousins.

Rhae'lloreans, like Spaniards, are white. Arcians, like Mexicans, are not. Johnny and Edmund are both of intermediate coloring because of their mixed blood, like many current Umbraen citizens. Teagan's mother is of mixed blood, but his racist, very Arcian father likes to ignore that. His brothers are also all dark enough, but Teagan came out blonde, and sticks out horribly.

The scene I would love to see is the morning after Happily Ever After. Johnny and Brigaed have just gotten married, and he's even pretty damn nice about consummating it with a virgin seven years younger than he is. He is Prince Charming, after all, and she raves about him to her maid the next morning. He's already gone when she wakes up - in council, seeking to convince his father that he should be granted the Earldom of Alsae at long last. The contentious province is his by right, but a hornet's nest of malcontent barons, not something you toss a green princeling into the moment he turns sixteen. Rightfully enough, his father has been holding out for Johnny to grow up a little and prove himself. With a string of military victories under his belt, now twenty-one and married and therefore in need of his own lands and incomes, and having just persuaded and/or bought the High Council (also a part of the test,) after five long years of maneuvering Johnny finally is granted the Earldom.

Until Brigaed sweeps into the council chamber.

Women are not generally allowed in council (unless they are reigning queen and acting as regent) but Johnny (for reasons that would get much more into the whole plot than you probably want right now) welcomes her, bragging of his political conquest. Half-educated on the subject but ignorant of the years of effort and careful manipulation, she recklessly airs all the points against him that he so painstakingly paid the council not to bring up in front of his father. Johnny is betrayed and furious - it is the equivilant of going into one's spouse's work meeting and telling their boss "don't give them that big promotion, they're kind of an irresponsible douchebag." She fails to register increasingly strong hints that she please stop shooting him in the foot, and finally he cuts her off and orders her to go back to their suite and wait for him.

The fight that ensues is utterly epic.

Johnny strains to give her once more chance to explain her behavior, but caught up in her princess-y righteousness, Brigaed refuses to see what she did wrong and instead begins belittling him for things that are fundamental parts of his personality, social class and lifework (eg "you men like fighting too much," never mind that this is a feudal, dark age society and the social and economic dominance that she enjoys as a princess is paid for exclusively by the men of her class being aggressive, constant fighters who subjugate the majority of the population to their will) while arbitrarily demanding an un-earned respect for her rather baseless ideas. Johnny snaps at her and degenerates into belittling her for her age and sex ("You are a child!" and "This is why women should never be allowed to make serious decisions," prevalent cultural attitudes he was previously attempting to see past.)

The part I'd most like to see illustrated is where they are screaming at each other over a small wooden table, almost nose to nose were he not so tall, right before he slaps the table out of the way.

The second bit I'd like to see illustrated is where Edmund attempts to interrupt the argument and gets goaded into it, ending in Johnny punching his brother they way he so obviously wanted to punch his wife. Teagan is the one who finally breaks it up, with that uncanny self-effacing authority that only he has.

Here's the actual text of the scene:

-----------------------------
Upstairs in their apartments, Brigaed had worked herself up to a righteous huff. How dare he?! With her maid's encouragement, the little Braeninder was stomping back and forth across the chamber, muttering to herself.

The door slammed open.

Ginny jumped against the wall with fright. On his best days, Johnny was tall and strapping, with a natural dominance that drew every eye. When he was angry, like he was now, he filled the room. Brigaed felt as though she'd been physically knocked backwards, and he was still a good ten feet away.

He slammed the door shut with such violence it bounced back from the frame. The square jaw was clenched, amber eyes darkened to the colour of bistre. "Pray tell, my Lady," he hissed. "What was the meaning of that little display?"

Brigaed narrowed her eyes, standing up straight to meet his overwhelming presence. She was not that small for a woman, and a Braeninder of the blood in her own right. She did not need to be intimidated by this. "I should ask you the same thing."

Johnny flexed his fingers, taking a careful breath. "Your ill-informed statements quite nearly cost me a great deal in there. The earldom I spent the last five years striving to attain, to be exact. I am giving you one chance to explain yourself."

"What is there to explain? The volatility of Alsae is self-evident. You think I don't know that? Your Alsaecian barons cannot wait to get you into their hands, especially that bastard Hugel-"

"You think I do not know that?" Johnny burst out. "Does my high and fancy, oh so educated Lady Wife really imagine that I know nothing about the politics my own country? I am the Braenindon Taen, have been raised on it since birth."

"Every month a dispatch comes to Rhae'llor-"

"That dispatch your father receives contains not a tenth of it, and of that, I somehow doubt he troubles to tell you everything!"

Johnny was getting closer to her, and Brigaed retreated behind the small table. "Does my high and fancy Braenindon Taen imagine he is not important to the security and stability of his country?" The back of her throat stung, and tears began to break free. "Surviving long enough to inherit-"

"And this,Ē he threw his hands in the air, ďIs precisely why women ought not interfere with council decisions! You are incapable of making clearheaded judgments about politics and military affairs. It is always some great weeping matter about how your precious menfolk might die!"

"In case you haven't noticed, men do die in war!" Brigaed was shouting now. "The Crone Herself hovers over battlefields, with a great wagon for all the souls she will reap that day!"

"In case you haven't noticed, the losers return to the Crone's basket. Men like me send them there." He was almost on top of her again, gesturing so violently she could feel the air moved by his hands.

"That is a fine attitude to have!" She had begun to lean forward, would have touched noses with him over the table were he not so tall. "Shining prince Johnny, the Warrior incarnate! You are a thrice-damned fool-"

Johnny slapped the small table out of his way with a single sharp stroke, and it went flying into the stone wall. Crystal shattered and water splashed to the floor rushes. "Learn to shut your mouth, you bloody ignorant woman!"

* * *

Out in the drawing room, Edmund looked up with a start when he heard the crash. All around him, wide-eyed servants had frozen to the spot. Everyone could hear the shouting, and after a moment, another crash.

There was the thud of booted footfalls on the stair, and suddenly Teagan was in the room. "Ned, what's going on? We can hear that in the hall."

Edmund only shook his head, moving quickly towards the commotion with Teagan on his heels. They found Ginny cringing in the antechamber, the guards at the bedroom door staring at each other in alarm. It was their duty to defend the Lady BrigaedÖ but not from Johnny.

They seemed much relieved to see Edmund, a higher authority who could take the uncomfortable decision from their hands. They snapped upright, tipping their halberds in salute. Inside, the shouting continued, clearer now. Edmund had rarely heard his brother so angry. He cocked his head inquiringly at one of the guards.

"Something about Alsae." The man shook his head helplessly. "I donít know, my Lord."

"I think I do." Teagan looked troubled.

This distressed the guard further. "General?"

Edmund didnít need to hear any more. "Wait here." He cracked the door, stealing silently into the room.

Pandemonium reigned within. A small table lay broken against one wall. The desk was overturned, papers scattered everywhere. Brigaed's freckled face was streaked with tears, Johnny's red and livid, the cords standing out in his neck.

"Why can I not speak my mind?" she shrieked. "You treat me as if I am a child!"

Johnny slammed his fist into a set of shelves; books went flying. "You are a child!" He turned towards her, seeming to cover the ground between them in a single stride. "You are ignorant and spoiled, and your foolhardy behavior today almost undid five years of my life's work!" He reached out, as if to grasp her by the face. "You are never, never to-"

Edmund stepped between them. "Johnny. Can we talk?"

"What in seven hells are you doing in here?" Johnny roared.

Edmund was several inches shorter than his brother, and much slimmer of build, but he stood firm. "They can hear you down in the hall." His voice was the most startling contrast, quiet and unassuming. "I am here to see that you do not hurt her."

"What business is it of yours? Is it that you still want to bed her?"

Color rose in Edmund's cheeks. "This has nothing... to do... with -Ē he sputtered. ďWith bedding anyone."

"Really?" Johnny bared his teeth in an awful parody of a smile. "You have been after her since the day she was betrothed to me!"

"I - I did not know it was her at the time!"

ďIt is too late for you now, little brother, so you need not play the hero!"

"I am not playing the hero!" Even angered, Edmund was nowhere near as loud as his domineering brother. "Nor do I chase other men's wives! That is your game. Believe it or not, some of us have minds above our belts!"

Teagan was watching from the doorway with horror, the guards peeking over his shoulders. This intercession was not turning out to be much of an improvement.

"I have never seen that from you!" Johnny gestured contemptuously. "The boy who was caught in San Martyn's harem now presumes to come into my bedchamber and-"

"I am just trying to help you, you conceited git!"

Johnny punched him. It happened so quickly Brigaed hardly saw it. Edmund hadn't been expecting it either. The blow took him squarely in the side of the face, snapping his head sideways. He reeled backwards.

Teagan burst into the room. "That's enough."

"This is none of your bedamned business, Teagan!" Johnny bellowed.

"I don't care. Guards, to me!" The men rushed in and stood behind him. They deferred to their prince, but they obeyed their general. Edmund was stumbling to his feet, Without ever taking his eyes off Johnny, Teagan gestured sharply to the younger Braenindon to get out.

"Stand down, Sir Teagan."

"No."

Johnny purpled. "General, that is an order!"

"I refuse. I support you in everything, my Lord, but I will not have this come to a duel between my princes. There are only two of you, and Umbrae needs you both. You can hang me for insubordination later, and I will go gladly. I am replaceable, and you and Lord Edmund are not."

Johnny stood very still, breathing hard. There was a long pause.

"I would never hang you for anything, Teagan."

Teagan said nothing, merely stared straight ahead until he was quite sure both Edmund and Brigaed were gone.

Anyone up for drawing an Evangelion with a chainsword in a long coat?

If so, remember it's a purple Berserker in a game of Adeptus Evangelion. The Pilot, which I suppose could use a portrait as well (although I presume it wouldn't be as fun to draw as an Evangelion) has dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a big scar from his left eye brow to his ear.

'Course, they'll all be Angel-Food soon enough...

Yep, it's him. :)

Sorry for slow-ness with this, my week's been busier than I expected. Actually, mainly, I ran out of paper. xD But I have like three new sketchpads now so should be all good to get a load of these done at the weekend. Thanks for patience. <3

I don't know how many people would be interested in this but I thought it might be fun to see these sketches coloured so I had a go with one of them and PM'd Mazeburn to see what she thought. She seemed to think it was a neat idea so I'll go ahead and post the first one here:

The idea is I'll go through them in the order they were drawn in although I can't promise I'll get through all of them, we'll see how it goes though, I guess.

Serpentine - Sorry, yeah, I'm baaad at drawing people on horseback. xD Usually I don't do re-dos for this kind of thing since it's free, but I like the character so PM me with the changes you want and I'll get to it after I'm done with the list.

Srsly. Make an amazon art wishlist and post the link here (I bet you other people would be happy to send you gifts in return as well - giving gifts is fun!) or if that makes you uncomfortable, my address at gmail is awibs57.

Absolutely. Imagine the comradery, squabbles, gobbocentricity and general awesomeness that could envoke. It would probably be wise to have it open to non-goblins to come offer their minds, as well... Otherwise we'd have those bothersome "equal opportunities for no-fangs" sulking about.
