So I wanted to create a warrior whose life is based around his reputation. It's inspired by those tales of men coming from mountains with huge weapons, challenging people to contests of skill, and then wandering on to the next town (Am I the only one who has heard those tales?).
Basically, this class can fall. But! It's not that bad of a fall, and you don't need to atone for it. You just have to do awesome things and regain your reputation. You don't even lose all of your powers, you're just treated as a lower level when you do non-awesome stuff.

So, may I introduce you to the...

Great Mountain Warrior

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
A great mountain warrior is proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and light armor.

Reputation(Ex)
A great mountain warrior has a fearsome reputation. He gains 1 reputation point at every level of great mountain warrior. A great mountain warrior must maintain this reputation, and loses reputation points for cowardly or dishonest acts. A great mountain warrior who hurts or kills an innocent, uses poison, runs from a battle while there are allies they could be helping, or makes a fool of themselves in public loses 1 reputation.
A great mountain warrior can only use class features if he has a reputation score equal to or higher than the class level that would gain that class feature (ie, a fourth level great mountain warrior with 2 reputation points would have access to all class features that a 2nd level great mountain warrior would have).
If a great mountain warrior would gain enough reputation points to exceed it's class level, it instead gains enough reputation points for it's score to equal it's class level, and 1d8 temporary hit points for each reputation point above it's class level it would have gained. These temporary hit points last for up to 24 hours.

Mountain Fighting(Ex)
A great mountain warrior generally uses strange weapons or fighting styles, much to the bewilderment of their opponents. In addition to gaining Exotic Weapon Proficiency with an exotic weapon of their choice as a bonus feat, a great mountain warrior may use a swift action to gain either a +1 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round, or a +1 competence bonus on attack rolls for 1 round, only if they are wielding the weapon they gain proficiency with from this class feature.
If the great mountain warrior chooses to use a martial or simple weapon with Mountain Fighting, they instead gain Weapon Focus with that weapon and Dodge as bonus feats.

A Worthy Fight!(Ex)
At 1st level, the great mountain warrior may declare a target with at least as many Hit Dice as it has reputation as a worthy opponent, once per encounter. If the great mountain warrior personally drops this target (bringing it to below 0 hit points, or otherwise rendering it helpless/causing it to acknowledge it's defeat), he gains a reputation point. Declaring a target as a worthy opponent is a swift action.

Monkey Grip(Ex)
At 2nd level, the great mountain warrior is treated as having Monkey Grip (Complete Warrior) when wielding their chosen weapon type.

Weapon Pride(Ex)
At 3rd level, a great mountain warrior gains Weapon Focus with the weapon they gained proficiency with from Mountain Fighting. If they already have Weapon Focus with that weapon, they gain Power Critical (Complete Warrior) with that weapon as a bonus feat, even if it doesn't meet the requirements.

I Bet You…(Ex)
At 4th level, the great mountain warrior can make a bet with any intelligent creature that has at least as many Hit Dice as the great mountain warrior has reputation. The great mountain warrior bets a number of reputation points (not exceeding his current reputation score), and declares what the nature of the bet is. Points bet in this way cannot be used to fuel any class features that may require their use, but still count towards the great mountain warrior's reputation score to determine class features. If the bet involves a roll (such as for an attack roll, a saving throw, or skill check) the great mountain warrior gains a competence bonus on their roll equal to the number of reputation points bet. If the bet involves multiple rolls (as in a fight, or complex skill challenge), the great mountain warrior may distribute the total bonus amongst any number of rolls, declared before the roll is made. If the great mountain warrior wins the bet, he gains reputation equal to half the amount bet (he keeps the amount bet).
For example, a 4th level great mountain warrior bets all 4 of his reputation that he can slay a bear with his bare hands. During the ensuing fight, he chooses to gain a +2 competence bonus to his initial attack roll to begin a grapple with the beast. He then chooses to use his remaining 2 bet reputation points to add a +2 to his final attack roll to finally slay the beast. The great mountain warrior gains 2 reputation, which does not increase his reputation score, but instead gives him 2d8 temporary hit points.

Great Mountain Spirit (Ex)
At 6th level, the great mountain warrior can use convert temporary hit points granted by extra reputation into a variety of attacks. For each 3 temporary hit points spent, the great mountain warrior gains a +1d4 morale bonus damage on his next attack. For each 5 temporary hit points spent in this way, the great mountain warrior gains DR 1/-. Damage Reduction gained in this way lasts for 3 rounds. For each 7 temporary hit points spent in this way, the great mountain warrior may make an extra attack during an attack or full attack action for 1 round. Using this ability is a free action.

Greater Weapon Pride(Ex)
At 7th level, the great mountain warrior learns to deal more damage with it's chosen weapon. It gains Weapon Specialization as a bonus feat, even if it doesn't meet the requirements.

Intimidating Reputation(Ex)
At 8th level, the great mountain warrior gains a bonus on intimidate checks equal to his reputation score. He gains a bonus equal to twice his reputation score when attempting to demoralize opponents with intimidate.

Terrible Wounds(Ex)
At 10th level, the great mountain warrior treats weapons he has Weapon Specialization with as if they had the Wounding property, dealing 1 point of constitution damage on successful attacks. This does not count against the weapon's total enhancement bonus.

Greater Monkey Grip(Ex)
At 11th level, the great mountain warrior no longer takes the -2 penalty while wielding weapons that it has Weapon Specialization with, and are one size category larger than it.

Massive Weapon(Ex)
At 13th level, when wielding a weapon one size category larger than himself, treats his weapon as if it has the collision property, making it deal an extra points of damage on each successful strike. This does not count against the weapon's total enhancement bonus.

Greater Mountain Spirit(Ex)
At 14th level, gains twice as much benefit from spending temporary hit points for Great Mountain Spirit. For each 3 temporary hit points spent, the great mountain warrior gains a +2d4 morale bonus damage on his next attack. For each 5 temporary hit points spent in this way, the great mountain warrior gains DR 2/-. Damage Reduction gained in this way lasts for 3 rounds. For each 7 temporary hit points spent in this way, the great mountain warrior may make an extra attack during an attack or full attack action for 2 rounds. Using this ability is a free action.

Weapon Greatness(Ex)
At 15th level, the great mountain warrior gains Greater Weapon Focus with his chosen weapon as a bonus feat, even if he doesn't meet the requirements.

Inspiring Reputation(Ex)
At 17th level, the great mountain warrior shares any reputation based bonuses with his allies. These bonuses are temporary hit points from excess reputation, bonuses on rolls during bets, and bonus damage, damage reduction, or bonus attacks from Great Mountain Spirit.

Weapon Domination(Ex)
At 19th level, the great mountain warrior gains Greater Weapon Specialization with his chosen weapon as a bonus feat, even if he doesn't meet the requirements.

Mountain Breaker(Ex)
At 20th level, when the great mountain warrior is wielding his chosen weapon that is one size category larger than he is, he may make a devastating attack.
By betting reputation points equal to half the Hit Dice of the enemy designated as his worthy opponent, he may attempt to instantly kill the target.
If the great mountain warrior makes a successful attack against the target, the target must make a DC 19+ the great mount warrior's strength bonus Fortitude Save or die instantly.
Even if the target succeeds on the save, they take damage as if from a critical hit from the great mountain warrior.
The mountain warrior gains reputation points equal to half the amount bet for this attack if the target is slain.

Nope, not familiar with such legends I don't think.

Needs a general rule for gaining reputation. Something that applies from first level onward. Moving "A Worthy Fight" to first level could work, since it currently takes a standard action.

Oops, I forgot to denote the action cost of most of the abilities. Most of them are swift actions, actually.

I also messed up the wording on reputation. You're meant to gain 1 every level.
I'll also move A Worthy Fight! to first level.
